“Another of our favorites when visiting the North shore of Lake Tahoe. Cozy, Cabin-ey feel, right on the golf course in the woods. The meals have been delightful, the wait staff does a great job with probably too many tables/customers. The bartender is knowledgeable and experienced. Lots of good wine info. We'll be back!“

Parking: You have to turn in at the white caps entrance and go around. They have about 5 spots by Java Hut but otherwise street parking is your best bet“

“Love love loved this place. It's a cute little restaurant inside a grocery store. They have outdoor seating but we were in in a snow storm, so had to manage with the limited space indoors. But the food and the people were so good. My husband took the leaf eater and I took the teriyaki udon noodle soup. Both were Yum. We even took a pesto baguette to-go. Everything about this place is to fall in love with. ?

Vegetarian options: There are quite few options for vegetarians in sandwiches and noodle soups.. Plus many salad options.“

“Dining at Christy Hill was a stellar way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Aaron, our server, was friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. The ambiance can't be beat with Mother Nature putting on a show at the Lake that was magical from sunset to moon rise. Most important was the food! The chef is clearly talented with delicious offerings and gorgeous presentation. Finally, we were gifted the dessert of chocolate croissant bread pudding that shouldn't be missed. I'm a fan and you won't be sorry!“

“Tapas style restaurant, so we tried several items - Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates (favorite at the table!); Arugula Salad (mint was a delicious touch!); Lobster Sliders (lots of lobster!); Grilled Wild Alaskan Halibut Tacos (just scrumptious!).

This was actually a referral restaurant for us, and we were so happy to enjoy dinner there! Great food and drinks (Old Fashion and the Chocolate Martini)!

“La Bistro is our favorite restaurant in Tahoe. We have been going there for about 15 years or more and it has always been a 5 Star experience. The menu is fantastic and each item is presented in a culinary style that is formal but not pushy. Chef David has really made all items continue to be up to date and constantly improved. Bar and wine selections are top notch. The atmosphere is country cafe quiet where actual and meaningful conversations can be held. Outdoor seasonal seating is available which retains the ambience of the indoor seatings.“

“Excellent service here, everyone here was super friendly and directed me to a table with an outlet so I could charge my things. They also let me sign one of the flags they had hanging on the ceiling which was a cool experience.

I ate the salmon bagel there, the bagel itself was quite delicious. My only critique was that I felt there could have been more salmon on the bagel and less tomato. Would recommend.“

“A great local gem that we found on our trip! We had a Truckee local boy as our server (Collin) who was able to give us some pointers for our summer vacation and really made our experience! If you find yourself in the area definitely check it out!“

“The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit a pleasant one! Just a heads-up — it can get pretty busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times.
As for the ice cream, it’s Thrifty brand — not handmade in-house. You can tell from the classic cardboard containers, and I confirmed with a staff member that it’s Thrifty. So if you're looking for artisanal this might not be the spot. That said, the scoops are generous.“

“This restaurant is fantastic! Lukas was one of the best servers I have come across. They have unique and flavorful twists on traditional Scandinavian dishes. And the manager Jeff sources local foods. The ahi appetizer in cones was a recommendation from Jeff and did not disappoint. Our Schnitzel was fabulous and so was the elk pot pie. It was quiet at the time we happened to be there so we got to chat a bit. We learned that the owner’s daughter is the pastry chef so we had to try the cheesecake. Also delicious. It was just a great dining experience.“

“After a couple of days of eating pizzas and sandwiches, we were craving curry and rice, and Thai Recipe came to the rescue.
The food is delicious. We ordered yellow curry tofu, evil jungle recipe with chicken (house special), cashew nut chicken curry, and dessert, sweet rice and mango.
The food didn't disappoint at all. It was delicious. Serving size is decent.
It's a family-friendly restaurant with plenty of parking on site. The restaurant is brightly lit, and plenty of seating is available. The staff was very kind and friendly and made us feel welcomed.“

The Italian music is lovely.
The service by Billy was so professional and so friendly! We appreciated highly his recommendation.
Jana, the head sommelier, brought us some great wines and offered us to taste.
The wine list overall is superb and very specific from Italy.
The food was fresh and tasty.
We highly recommend for the appetizers the tomato burrata with the fresh pesto and for the main course the Ragu di Agnelllo and also the Pollo con Gnocchi were so delicious.
We spent an Amazing and intimiste time at this truly authentic Italian restaurant.
Do not miss this place .. far away the best in this area!

“We ordered two cauliflower crust pizzas and a salad for pick up. The cauliflower crust was not an option on the online menu so submitted the order verbally via phone. I figured the cauliflower crust would cost more but I almost fell over when picked up the pizza and told it was $71! Really not sure why I didn't just walk out and tell them to stick the pizza. At this crazy price, I expected an exceptional pizza however, it was anything but. First of all, it was NOT cauliflower pizza crust! Second, it was cold and the crust was hard, with very little sauce. Extremely disappointing.... pass on this overpriced garbage!“

“We sat in the bar and ordered apps before a show. Brianna took wonderful care of us! We had the Lobster Mac n Cheese, Lamp Lollipops, and Coconut Shrimp and split it between two of us. The food was spectacular and the service was top notch. I'll definitely be back!“

“A bike event on Sunday turned into a cold, rainy, windy, miserable day. We went to The Dam Cafe for hot chocolate and got so much love! The owner not only welcomed the wet, muddy riders in, she put out space heaters and wrapped us in blankets! Amazing! I was so cold and was warmed both physically and emotionally by the kindness. “The best part of this restaurant is it's environment and it's dog friendliness. We always go with Ares our JRT and you often see other dogs, on the patio. Food is good too, but I actually like my own cooking of quality meat in general.“

Local little restaurant - food portions are great ( too big for a European) - waitress was so kind and helpful - service could be a bit faster but we ordered 9 mains so needed time to prepare. We had the $14.49 gyros, $22.99 fish and chips, and the $13.99 wagyu sliders (which tasted a tiny bit overcooked) but besides that all tasted great! Nice empty dog friendly outside patio by the creek with many picnic tables and a big table for 12. Service was very fast.“

“Enjoyed a delicious dinner here with my boyfriend! The service was fantastic, the wine and food were delicious and we hope to return! I had tomato soup and grilled cheese, we both enjoyed wine tasting flights and my bf had a wagyu burger! All very delicious! Many vegetarian options as well :)

“We stopped to eat here before the fireworks at Commons beach on 4th of July and it was great. Awesome local vibe with good drink selection and classic American dishes. They had large TV’s with baseball on, so my son was happy. Parking was easy and the staff was friendly and kind!“

“What a delicious find! When other restaurants we no longer seating, we went here and what a gem! Their chicken satay was flavourful and fresh. Fried spring rolls were crunchy and delicious. The drunken noodles were the perfect amount of spicy - some good heat, and you can't stop eating them.
