“Misu was very friendly. I got to talk about S. KOREA with her which brought back memories. The baked goods are great! I had the rice juice and sesame seed roll (which is stuff with sweet bean paste. which brought me back. I was talking to Misu how Korean food is not the same here. She proved me wrong! “recently visited this shaurma spot and honestly, the interior is amazing — super cozy, stylish, and has a whole vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. It definitely feels like more than just a quick food stop.

I tried the chicken shawarma. While the flavor was okay, I wasn’t too happy with the chicken — it wasn’t grilled properly, and the wrap felt a bit unbalanced with too much lavash and not enough ingredients inside.

That being said, I still recommend checking this place out. The experience itself is worth it, and with such a nice atmosphere, I really hope this business grows and stands strong. It’s definitely a spot I want to see succeed, and maybe with a few tweaks to the food, it can become a favorite!“

“This meal was the highlight of our LA trip! I don’t know what kind of sorcery is afoot here but this little spot manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts. I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door and I liked that they have you order and pay before sitting down, it makes the dining experience more relaxing and low key. Loved how short and sweet the menu was, the chef has incredible restraint and a crystal clear vision. Every single thing we had was incredible, the best hk french toast and bolo bao I have ever had, and omg the scallion roll and dumplings. I don’t know what it is about this place but I’m still thinking about that meal days later. Also, the dining room made me feel like I was in a tvb serial from the early 90s which is the highest compliment.“

I especially love that they use taro as the base it gives the donuts a subtle earthy flavor and naturally soft texture that makes them stand out from the usual. “Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

“Fabulous 👌!!! This is my favorite bakery. Whenever I'm in charge of picking up a cake for any special occasion, only the strawberry cake with almonds will do. The cake is perfect every single time.

“Every time I’m in LA/Eagle Rock, I have to stop by here. The donuts are sooo good, creative flavors, and fresh. I buy a dozen or 2 and trail my butt back to OC and my family is so excited. The vegan donuts are sooo good!! Don’t let that ube cake donuts fool you, it’s so soft and airy. My favorite along with vegan ube glaze. Yum!“

“I attended a kids' birthday party and they had the most delicious cake ever. It was chocolate with a fresh strawberry center. The chocolate cake was so moist. The icing was light and delicate. This cake was talked about with everyone. We kept saying, "it's not too sweet," which is the best compliment you can say for a cake. I wasn't the one that purchased the cake but I definitely will now after this.“

“09/11/25: The Latina staff member was very friendly and welcoming (same person I met on my last visit!) — her service attitude is excellent. The food here is always very, very delicious, and the little bunny cake was amazing with fresh ingredients.

However, I did feel disappointed with another staff member (Asian) who came across as unfriendly and gave me attitude. Since I am also Asian, I honestly don’t know if I did something wrong, but it made me uncomfortable.

Overall, the quality of the food is outstanding, and I truly enjoy coming here. I just hope the management can strengthen training for individual employees so that the service experience matches the excellent food.“

“Best donut shop in the area, hands down.
Donuts are super light and airy, they do not live you feeling super full and they are also not super sweet. Prices are also very reasonable.
We tried the breakfast sandwiches as well which and they were super delicious and filling. If you are hungry hungry I would recommend you get one.
The thai teas are nice too, I really liked the orange one.
Staff is also super friendly and will tell you about all their menu items as well as make recommendations.

“This is a mocha filled cake. I brought these fresh flowers 1 day before the event. Although, my daughter’s instructions was to include red melted chocolate on this rustic/vintage themed cake but they did NOT. I can see why, it would have taken away from the theme. they have such a great eye in designing and captivating one’s imagination . They delivered the cake on time and the extra flowers were also returned. Definitely, recommend to friends and families!“

“Fresh warm gooey cookie, literally everything youd love in a cookie. i was skeptical at first because im usually not a fan of a chubby cookie, i dont mean to discriminate towards the thiccer cookies but some of them are dry. when i tell you this was the best chubby cookie ive ever had i dont take that lightly. it wasnt too sweet it had a perfect contrast of crunch to chew ratio. absolutely a delicious cookie. genuinely i would have liked a sugar cookie on the menu but thats just a personal preference. the service was great, i was offered a complimentary pumpkin spice cookie to try, im not a fan of pumpkin spice so i gave that to my mother who really enjoyed it. the location with warehouse situation was interesting, but they made it easy just call and they bring it right to you. it was my first time but based off everything, ill definitely be back! highly recommend the chocolate chip, its just an all around great cookie.“

“Probably rank it somewhere between 4 and 5 stars so let's round up to a 5. Got 2 sandwiches, the jambon (ham) and the Daniel Special (with prosciutto) with the latter a little saltier and richer. But both sandwiches lay on an almost perfect baguette lathered with rich butter. Every ingredient seems to be of top quality that creates a delicious sandwich. The other plus is that they offer half sandwiches!“

“We love Half Baked! We discovered it, ironically enough, just months before I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2016. Luckily, they have gluten free options a plenty. Of all the gluten free bakeries nearby, they were THE most affordable for wedding cakes. We collaborated with Natalie who was with us from day one. She is wonderful - so understanding and supportive. Half Baked's execution of our vision onto 3 elegant cakes was lovely and classy. The GF spice with cream cheese was the best - our very favorite! There were some unfortunate issues with the other two cakes, but Natalie assisted us thoughtfully and ultimately provided us with an ample solution. We have loved Half Baked since we discovered them. We highly recommend them for events or anytime, especially if you need delicious gluten free options that won't break the bank!“

“Cafe Los Feliz is a charming neighborhood spot with a lively atmosphere and a line out the door that thankfully moves quickly. I had the breakfast burrito (no bacon, sub avocado) which was delicious, especially paired with the chipotle sauce and jalapeño salsa that it comes with. My friend ordered the 3 eggs with basil and tomato, served with a generous block of feta and warm pita which was fresh and flavorful. We also tried the spinach Swiss croissant, which was tasty though the cheese inside was still cold. Service was efficient, food arrived in under 10 minutes despite the crowd, and prices came out to around $20 per person. Overall, great value, friendly service, and a spot I’d definitely return to.“
