The marinated beef bulgogi was delicious. So was the beef belly. Also, they had 2 flavors of thrifty brand ice cream for dessert. That was an unexpected and tasty surprise.

“We were recently passing through Pasadena and boy, did Yelp come through for us when picking a place to eat! Craft by Smoke & Fire in Old Town Pasadena ended up being the perfect choice. It was a beautiful evening and we opted to sit outside. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie as our server…and also lucky to be there during happy hour – you gotta love a 2 for 1 drink special! It was hard to choose between all the craft cocktails, but we ended up ordering Lulu Lemons which were excellent! I play mixologist when entertaining at home, and when I expressed interest in recreating this drink for our friends, Stephanie was kind enough to share the recipe! The menu is full of yummy Texas-style BBQ options made from locally sourced meat, and it was hard to choose. We landed on brisket grilled cheese with a side of mac & cheese (can you have too much cheese?!) and a harvest brisket salad. Both were so delicious. The outside table area was pretty full and although she was covering a lot of tables, Stephanie was knowledgeable when guiding us through the menu, super attentive and personable to boot! All the different meats and vegetables were delicious and offered lots of variety so there is something for everyone. “I found this new BBQ pop-up in Lakewood at the YMCA and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the kindness of the family that runs it, to the delicious food. Last week I had the 3 meat plate (I chose brisket, pork belly and chicken) which came with 2 sides and it was only $28! The brisket and pork belly were SO tender and juicy and had an amazing flavor! Earlier today I had the one meat plate with chicken, this coleslaw that is probably the best I’ve ever tasted, and their brisket chow mein. So good! Everything is homemade down to the sauces and they have things like burritos and Texas toast brisket grilled cheese. It’s called Axiom Kitchen. Husband, wife and kids and so kind…they made us feel so special. We haven’t had service like that in a long time. I know they are at the Lakewood YMCA on Sundays and I think Fridays and they are at another location on Thursday but I’m not sure where.“

“This spot is within a food hall and I love these setups because of the amount of food options available.

I ordered their bulgogi burrito with no rice along with their Korean spicy popcorn chicken. The burrito was phenomenal and one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. A bulgogi bowl but put into a wrap and the popcorn chicken was solid. Overall both items were delicious.

I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items and overall it was an excellent lunch!

Also, I tried their crunchy Gojujang fried chicken and beef ribs and they were delicious. I would definitely recommend these dishes as a first timer here and wash it down with Dole pineapple slushy.“

“On our way from LAX to Palm Springs after 10:00 pm we were looking for a quick bite to eat. Drove by this restaurant and figured we would try it.The experience was one we will absolutely recommend, regarding both food and true Chinese culture. No where near what I was expecting.We had the lamb and also beef skewers and fried rice. An appetizer was brought out that we did not order, as it was included, which was right away different and tasted unlike any other soybean and peanut I’ve experienced. It was delicious!The lamb and beef was cooked to exact request and was also delicious!While we have dined at many Chinese restaurants throughout the United States, as we travel extensively and dine out regularly this surf past any, and all other restaurants, we’ve dined in for this type of food. Here’s the difference this was not Chinese food that has been Americanized in most Chinese restaurants. This was true Chinese prepared food.I truly believe you would have to travel to China to get this quality of food and culture.I will also say that we spent 3/4 of our time speaking to Cindy, whose father owns the restaurant which caters to home cooked events at homes, so this is not their primary source of how they deliver the product to the public. The hour and 15 minutes we spent there was made so much more enjoyable as Cindy walked us through the culture the food and Wyatt tasted different because it was truly cooked to Chinese standard. So I have to say, was it the food that was the greatest experience, or Cindy‘s presence and her willingness to have an open conversation about why they do it the way they do, and enlightened us about the culture of the food,I strongly recommend anyone that wants to find out what real Chinese cuisine is and how it is cooked and prepared in China. You realize very quick that this is not your drive-through, Chinese pick up takeout, that we are accustomed to here in the United States. This is a must try for the food if nothing else and when you’re there I recommend you ask for Cindy.After visiting with Cindy, she made it a total experience for an awesome evening of culture that was absolutely excellent.It is always nice to be able to understand and realize the actual culture of cuisine you are eating. Cindy, she made an experience of great food, a completely enjoyable experience. That was absolutely excellent off the charts. Cindy made it a 2 for 1 bonus to the evening.We will absolutely be driving from Palm Springs back to the restaurant. It was absolutely enjoyable. Not to mention the cost was nowhere near what we expected. “This our first time here. We came at almost closing ( 840pm) but the employee was really nice to accomodate and still help us with the food. We ordered a combo 2 for $29 ( only online) n got it to go since they almost close. The food came out hot and portion is generous, they gave a lot of meat and sides r delish. For a bbq chain this is really good quality. Fries r crispy n well seasoned, mac cheese was good, bbq sauce was delishhh. The toast was soft but crunchy at the same time, very buttery. The meat is so juicy and tender and soft fall off the bone type. I couldnt finish my plate in 1 go n i was pretty hungry! Definitely will be back again :) 9/10“

The only little problem is that it has happened that few times they didn't understand my instructions (just no veggies lol) even though i asked repeatedly. I think is just because English is not the owner's first language, so as long as you make sure they understood you are good to go! I recommend 100%“
