“I was going back to the yard to part my semi and I thought I’d get something quick to snack on at the corner store but it wasn’t open. The next thing open beside it was LUCKILY Tokyo Grill! I was hungry and I was going to wait til I got home but I decided to get the chicken bowl because I saw it was 9 bucks. I didn’t expect much as I took it to my truck and man was I blown away. The flavor of the chicken was so delicious and the amount of ingredients they put into the bowl is unbelievable. It had green beans pineapple carrot slices cabbage and some other vegetables. I was amazed for how much food they gave me for the plate only being 9 bucks and they put a lot of chicken in there which was a big plus. I didn’t have to dig around for any chicken.That’s why I’m writing this review, hopefully it helps anyone thinking coming to eat here. Oh and I also had really dirty hands and the lady at the cash register which I believe was part owner, gave me some wipes and was really nice. I’m pretty sure their other dishes are great too. I didn’t take a picture of my food because I was really hungry but it’s worth each penny I wasted.“

“Small sushi shop in a Korean centric market plaza.
Had a late lunch here, offers sushi and sashimi combos for a very reasonable price.
Offers bento box type plates as well.
Seemed to be a one man operation.
Well made sushi, tasty spicy crab mix in the rolls we ordered: shrimp tempura and Sakai roll , topped with fresh clean tasting fish.
The shrimp sushi was also served raw here.
Overall very good food.
Water is self serve. Small restaurant has tables that can accommodate about 20 people at a time. Nothing fancy, clean overall.
Parking can be difficult when it’s weekends because of the grocery store in the same plaza.“

“To be quite honest, the bowls are a great deal for the quality of food and the amount they give you. Washington roll is really good and the miso soup it's more than reasonably priced as well. This is definitely a go to. Off of Telegraph and where Rosemead turns into Lakewood next to the doughnut shop. :p“

“Tried this place a few days ago, ended up going there 2 days in a row! First visit I tried their Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Extra Hot sauce and fries, and it was a hooting delightful! Next I tried their Garlic Parmesan wings - ordered extra so I could put them in fridge to eat later. Very high quality food!“

“My new favorite sushi spot in Long Beach. Omg - once, they had some uni from Japan (not Santa Barbara, like most uni here) that was unREAL. I’d advise getting some of the regular sushi/sashimi and not just rolls. Their ramen is bomb, too. As are their appetizers. We usually get the spicy edamame. The owner is a gem, too. Really nice lady who remembers her customers, which always feels nice.“

“Roll & Teriyaki is a good local spot for delicious, fast-casual Japanese food at affordable prices. The quiet and clean dining area will accommodate small groups or solo diners.

The menu boasts Japanese favorites that most people will be familiar with. The value-packed combos are a real treat. I've also enjoyed the chicken and beef teriyaki bowls, as well as the sushi and roll offerings. While they may not offer as many fish varieties as other places, the ones they do have are all fresh and satisfying.

For a small, mom-and-pop restaurant, I'm glad there's a place like this close to home and affordable. The service is good. I've visited many times and the owner is a man of few words. The other staff have been nice as well.

If you're on a budget and craving Japanese food, R&T is worth checking out. There is plenty of parking in the public lot.“

“Amazing experience. At first I was wary when I realized the restaurant was in an older hotel next door to Disneyland but I admit I was absolutely wrong. The restaurant was good enough to be one you could find in any five star resort or Michelin guide. The service was absolutely amazing. The entire staff was welcoming and extra nice to us. The chef was from Japan and had fifty years experience as a sushi chef in Japan. The food was amazing and I can’t state that enough. It was to die for. “I ordered a vegetable tempura bowl, which was extremely generous! The pieces of vegetables were huge. It was pretty heavy with the grease and that’s what ultimately removed a star from my review. I also ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. I asked to add vegetables and learned that it’s not an additional price because they do it by weight. I eat Flame Broiler regularly and this is similar. The sauce at this restaurant is much lighter and the chicken is probably not as intense in flavor, but the bowl is very good. I would order it again. They have a little table with condiments and they offer the ginger which is yummy but it is the pink dyed ginger, which is unfortunate. It’s very tasty, however. They seem to do a good business with a ready supply of people wandering in to enjoy their food. The young man behind the register was very helpful and patient. They have various specials and that seems to be a good deal if you wanna take advantage of a daily special or a combination. I think the price is a reasonable, which is nice these days.“

Food was delicate deliciousness in every bite! So many subtle flavors excellently combined to delight my tastebuds. “​I drive by this place all the time. It's right off the 405 freeway. And I finally got to try this place. I ordered the #8 Supreme plate. It came with a small lobster tail and Angus steak which were both nice and tender. It also came with fried rice which was good and buttery. It came with mixed vegetables: onions, carrots, and zucchini. I really enjoyed the service here. The guy working the cash register was extremely nice and attentive. He made sure everyone in there was properly taken care of. I really enjoyed this place and I can't wait to come back here and try other items on their menu.“

“I came here to check out their breakfast and let me tell you I was impressed. They had this toast with avocado, onions and tomatoes 10 out of 10 I even tried their breakfast udon and the broth was so delicious. I even got into their onigiri and I tried their California their crunch the tuna and the salmon, and they were all so flavorful. But their yogurt Matcha was my favorite as well as their torch spam musubi so so good definitely you’re gonna wanna come check out for their breakfast. It is such a cute little mom and pop shop. The sushi is fresh and tasty - manageable portions so you can really try a bunch of things without completely over-ordering.

“I’ve been to many restaurants but this has to be the best thing I’ve ever tried, all of their waiters and waitresses are super nice, and even ask if you can’t eat certain foods, they have fresh fish, teriyaki beef and other meats, and the best sushi and rolls you can ask for, the only thing I can say is that I wish I could rate it more than 5 stars, This is my go-to place for food.“

“Found this place randomly searching for a local Japanese style restaurant and found this Gem. Tried their Chicken Curry plate as it seemed to be there go to with their BOGO promotion. The curry had a phenomenal and savory taste. I'd recommend Level 3 Spice level as it is a great blend of flavor and spice. If you're interested in having great Japanese Curry this is the spot. I also tried their potato croquette which was exquisite I ate it immediately and took a photo part way 🤣 into eating. I also have their Strawberry Matcha Latte which was a great blend and tasted perfect. Definitely coming back to try the Curry Omelet variety. This is a great spot to come with friends or if you just want to enjoy some great Japanese food solo.“

“Solid 4's all around. We came in at 4pm right when they closed for lunch and they were super generous to still let us eat.
From the outside it's deceiving and looks like a square building and black our windows but inside is really nice. You can sit at the bar style right in front of the sushi chef (we did) or in the dining room.
We had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna and the special roll with Salmon sashimi.
All with great quality and presentation.
Me personally thought it was a touch to spicy and the salmon sashimi was a tougher piece but everything else was great.
The only reason for the 4 stars are for that and the $85 bill afterwards.
