“My husband and I were coming home from a Cal game and got stuck in traffic...as we were making our way back to the freeway he told me we should be going to more local restaurants in Oakland...then boom we stumbled on Rodricks! “After months of searching over-priced caterers we decided to look into more affordable buffet style food options for our wedding guests. Ultimately we chose Hazy Barbecue for the following reasons:

1) An impressive first tasting at their Danville location, which happened to coincide with St. Patrick's day weekend rush. Not only was the food excellent, but the we also saw how they effortlessly handled operations under pressure.

2) Outstanding communication! Big shout out to the catering manager Kelly who graciously helped us throughout the entire process start to finish. Her responses via email or phone were always prompt and super informative.

3) They went above and beyond to help us customize our menu to accommodate our guests: dietary restrictions, modifications. They even provided a custom cutting cake + sheet cake for guests. Dolly's carrot cake was as good as any other fancy bakery cakes we tasted from other vendors.

4) From a business operations perspective, Hazy Barbecue has their sh*@ together! Most other vendors are stuck in the past with antiquated payment systems, paper contracts and disjointed customer experiences. NOT Hazy. They have a seamless customer portal where you can find any info regarding your order i.e. contracts, meeting notes, payments, etc.

We planned our entire wedding and worked with at least a dozen different vendors. Hazy was by far the BEST! Could not recommend them enough.“

“I’m so happy to have L and L back! There used to be one on Crescent Drive(a couple blocks away) and I was heartbroken when it shut down. I moved away for a while and imagine how awesome of a surprise it was to see my favorite Hawaiian BBQ spot has returned just before I moved back! ???
The employees are all super friendly, the food is always cooked to perfection, and the dining area is kept clean and tidy.
The only thing that would make this place better is if they would extend their hours on Friday/Saturday nights. A lot of other restaurants in the area close at 9pm on weeknights and 10pm on weekends so I was surprised/bummed to see that they close “early” in comparison.“

“Coleslaw is slamming. Sweet tea is delicious and flavorful. Dino rib juicy and tender. Barbecue sauce not too sweet. Perfectly tangy. Potato salad good, cools off your tongue from the hot sausage.

Nasi Goreng, yum.

Parking: There was not a lot of parking in front of Kinders, but I have been fortunate to find parking relatively close.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple of handicapped parking spots, but they are virtually always in use when I have been there.“

Not only was the food i order, delicious, but the e customer service was beyond great. “Food here is so good and a decent price for plates (I think it was $15 for a 1 meat plate and $20 for 2 meats ). Parked right outside Planet Fitness so a perfect post gym meal. The ribs are very juicy and the BBQ sauce he makes is delicious! The baked beans always hit along with the potato salad. Only complaint is that the bread sometimes gets soggy from the items in the box but that can easily be fixed. Definitely one of my favorite quick BBQ spots and I highly recommend giving him a try!“

“I’ve enjoyed visiting Sunrise Bistro for breakfast. The convenient parking and manageable wait times make it a hassle-free spot for breakfast or brunch. I’ve tried a few dishes, like the carnitas and eggs, but my favorite by far is the smoked brisket and hash, which has become my go-to order. The only area for improvement would be the coffee. Better quality coffee and fresh creamer would really elevate the breakfast experience. Overall, it’s a nice place to dine in for breakfast or brunch.“

“We eat here about once a month. There’s a large all you care to eat selection, service is fast and they have decent list of beers to go with all the meat. The only problem we’ve had is that their scissors aren’t sharpened- that’s ok, next time we’ll bring our own.“

It must have been about 85 degrees inside at 6:00 PM on Sunday - pretty uncomfortable. Also, the place was about half full and I had to flag down our servers a couple of times for service.
