“This is my first time at Simply PHO. I love Pho Thai but I haven’t found one that has good quality beef. The broth and noodles were delicious but the quality of the meat was not to my liking. The meat was tough and had fat. The ambiance was humble. I might come back and try their veggie pho.

“This place came in clutch for being open on the holidays when most other places in the area were closed. After getting what felt like a child’s meal for dinner at a restaurant in Irvine and then trying to go to a couple other places on the way home for a snack only to discover they had closed early, my partner luckily remembered this place and suggested checking if it were open. Fortunately, it was, and although I ordered in person, the food was ready for takeout within a few minutes. I got the grilled tofu and rice combo, and it was great. Nothing fancy, but it was well-seasoned and tasted like a home-cooked meal, which is exactly what I wanted.“

My friend and I visited this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch, located in the Parkview Center Plaza. The plaza has ample parking, and the restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with a decent seating capacity. If you prefer dining outdoors, there’s also plaza seating available. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick and efficient.

We started with the Duo Appetizer, which included a spring roll and a crispy egg roll. Both were good, but the crispy egg roll stood out—it was hot, fresh, and flavorful.

For the main course, we went with the pho noodle soup: the chicken breast sous vide and the special combo, both in large portions. The noodle and meat quantity was generous, but the broth was a bit underwhelming—lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting.

We also tried the tri-color bean drink and the black sea grass jelly drink. The jelly drink was okay, but the tri-color bean drink felt more like a scoopable dessert than a beverage—not my preference.

If you're in the area and craving pho, this place is a convenient option, but it might not blow you away. A solid choice for a quick Vietnamese meal!“

“We ordered pho soup with raw steak & meatball, and grilled pork vermicelli!
- Pho was hot and fresh. Soup base was ok, but it seems to be chicken broth more than beef broth. Still good to me
- they gave a plate of bean sprout/herbs with plastic wrap on top, small portion. I asked for one more and they were happy to give me more
- I like the vermicelli more as the grilled pork was tasty! It came with egg rolls as well

“The pho Tai was surprisingly very good. Good portion of thin sliced beef and a good broth. Tucked away in a strip mall of Harbor blvd. Basic decor but clean and reasonable price not cheapest like some on other side of 405 but its good pho and that's all that matters.“

“It’s a little gem in the area. The food is delicious and vibe is friendly but a bit noisy during lunch. They have two dining section and we are seated on the newly remodeled area which I like it a lot. It’s a nice place for friend gathering.
Parking is free and easy. There is street parking and underground parking in the same building which save time to find a parking space.“

Unlike other places, the portion sizes come in three options: S, M, and L, which is great.

However, it was a bit uncomfortable when they brought the card machine directly to the table for payment, including tipping.

“I dinned with my family and friends at Phans55 today. The owners, Chris and his wife created a great dining experience. We tried the blue crab spring roll, calamari , grilled chicken banh mi and brisket pho. Every meal was delicious and plentiful. For dessert we had mango cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake.
We had made a 90 minutes drive to eat at Phans55 on a friend recommendation and were not disappointed. Gladly will make this trip again.

Blame covid for the price increases and there are sign posted to make you aware of the increase. it's the best food and most reasonable prices in town. if you cant afford a 11 dish then don't buy or complain about it. “This is our go to for pho, pad se ew (sp?), and garlic noodles. I like the steak so much and the veggies are super fresh.

Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to eggs so I just opt for no egg in the dishes I order. They are great.“

“We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant for the past two years. After looking at Yelp, we decided to give them a try. Wow we found a great restaurant with fresh good tasting food. If I lived in Garden Grove, it might be a 3* rating relative to the other pho places that abound in that Little Saigon, but for South County, it is a solid 4* relative to the others around. “I’ve been obsessed with this place since the very first time I tried it. I get the large #7 Pho with grilled pork and add vegetables. Top it with fresh basil, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce and a little lime squeeze and boom, HEAVEN in a bowl. I also LOVE the lychee smoothie (it’s more like a slush or icee) with boba. The spring rolls are tasty as well. It’s in the Foothill Center near the movie theater, so it’s a staple for us when we go to see a film. Plenty of parking, indoor and heated outdoor seating available, it’s nearly impossible to place an online order for pick up, so I just call in my order if we don’t have time to dine in.“
