New American Restaurants near Lomita, CA

“Surprisingly short wait time for Labor Day (15-20min) it was hot and humid outside would’ve been nice to come into a more cooler environment but restaurant was clean host was welcoming as well as our waiter Meghan she was nice the only thing was after we got our food we still needed couple of side things like drink refills, some ranch for our chicken strips and steak sauce but our waiter never came back by to check on us for a while so we had to flag down a different waiter. That’s the only reason why we didn’t give 5 stars but also, parking is kinda difficult not enough spaces in parking lot.Other than that the food was very good we had the Benedict’s Shortribs and it was delicious! The shortrib meat was tender and had flavor and the sauce on top was so good! The corncakes on bottom really made the whole dish my absolute favorite! Next, we tried the Strawberry Sunrise pancakes (buttermilk pancakes topped with whip cream and butter) The chicken strips with fries were cooked perfectly. Juicy on inside crunchy on the outside.we had the Pineapple upside down pancakes! (Buttermilk pancakes stuffed with sweet pineapple) I had the 2 stack and they were delicious and very satisfying I would order that again for sure. We also had the Steak and eggs with home potatoes and it too was very good. Will be coming back regularly There were 4 adults and one teen in our party and our bill came out just a little over $150 with tip around $175“

The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“As always, the food was amazing. Every dish was good. Highly recommend the Crostini, Parker house rolls, and octopus for appetizers. Salmon was cooked perfectly, the scallops and pesto pasta light and bright, the bolognese pasta tasty and not to heavy, and the sea bass was melt in your mouth. My all time favorite is the chili and lime avocado salad. Service not only from our server, but all the other workers, including the hostess that seated us were all incredible,“

“Very underwhelming experience and not worth the hype. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the Japanese pizza, which came burnt on the bottom, with very little cheese and unappealing arugula (even when we requested extra parmesan, they brought a minuscule portion). The warm olives were unpleasantly bitter, and the spaghetti was completely average. To make matters worse, the venue was overwhelmingly loud, and the crowded middle tables leave zero privacy, making it feel like everyone is seated together. Definitely not returning“

“Overall a nice stay: friendly staff, nice updated facilities, free ♿️ valet👌-3 to 4 blocks from beach. Very expensive at $500 per night, used the 2 $10 free tickets at bar for 2 drinks and still owed $8.36. This was the host hotel and stayed 2 nights Fri/Sat July 22-23, 2022, with hamburger & soup in room, total $1100. T.“

Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

“Brewco Social absolutely nailed it! We came here with two families, 8 of us total, before heading down to the beach, and from the moment we walked in, we felt completely welcomed. The location is unbeatable literally steps from the Manhattan Beach boardwalk, so it’s the perfect place to grab a great meal before hitting the sand.

The service was fantastic. The two girls taking our orders were smiling, friendly, and patient, while the guys were constantly moving around making sure every table was taken care of. It was one of those places where you could tell the entire team was working together like a well oiled machine.

And the bartender deserves a shout-out because he absolutely knew what he was doing! We started with a triple, went to a double, and finished with a single and every drink was on point. 😂

Now the food… WOW. My smash burger was absolutely incredible. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. Honestly one of the juiciest smash burgers I’ve had. The kids loved their meals, and the wives were very happy with their salads, so somehow everyone at the table left happy.

The atmosphere was another huge plus. The whole place is beautiful and has that upscale, polished feeling you’d expect from a high-end restaurant in Beverly Hills, but without feeling stuffy or pretentious. It has a really great Manhattan Beach vibe.

5 stars all day. Great location, great food, great drinks, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. You guys are doing it right, keep up the good work! We’ll definitely be back.“

“This is our first time eating at this place. The restaurant just opened about 4 months ago and found it on Google. The food was really good! I ordered the Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta and my mom ordered the Lomo Saltado. They were both very delicious, I food taxed my mom and I liked the Lomo Saltado more than what I ordered (although my pasta was also good). The staff was very friendly and attentive... Will definitely come again!“

“We heard about your birthday special of Turf and Surf and decided to take advantage of it. Easy to make the reservation online. We got there and were seated quickly. We had the calamari and shrimp appetizer which was great! We shared a bowl of the clam chowder which was the best I had in years! The birthday girl got the Turf and Surf and I had the Shrimp Pasta with vodka sauce. Both were very good! We ended up taking half of it home! Our server, Adam, was very nice and even took pictures of us to mark the occasion. Overall, we had a great experience! We would definitely do it again!“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. “It was such a lovely venture out for my Mom’s birthday, on Friday. Alex and Dominique (management) are quite lovely, and helped make our dining experience all the more, a joy! Love the new additions to the menu, particularly the Mini Steak French Dips. The Chicken Parmesan was excellent with the twist of those ‘pepper-like sweet’ tomatoes. “Everytume we go out around a Holiday, can be precarious. Restaurant only had a couple of parties . One guy at the counter bar. Right where're we requested our seating at reservation. Obviously, no one read the request and didn't care. Got the eye roll gesture body language. Typically, the Restaurant is on top of it. Still the fish tacos are outstanding and chicken nachos Loved the food. We've been patrons since Hudson House open and always will be!!“

“Lovely place. Unfortunately for us, we've been passing this restaurant by for years, as there is almost always a small crowd waiting outside for a table. However, today we took a chance, parked on the street near the restaurant & ventured inside. -- The decor is not fancy, but the atmosphere is friendly, light & inviting. And, the smells coming from the kitchen, as well as the custom coffee drinks was enticing.
-- Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, explained several dishes, answered questions we had about drinks, menu options, made solid recommendations, and easily took our orders. -- The drinks arrived fairly quickly, followed a few minutes later by our requested orders. Our meals were hot & freshly prepared as ordered (& had not been left sitting under warming lights.) The items we chose were very tasty, the fresh fruit cups were chilled & appeared to be prepped shortly before the meal was served. Very nice. Long before we had finished eating, we'd decided we would be returning to this hidden little gem on PCH to adventure further into the menu & sample some additional treats prepared by the chef & staff.
