“This gets 5 for view ambience and service. This time was at the bar. Usually, I get a table where the views can't be beat. Food is always quite pricey and nothing special, but the staff will treat you well and you will enjoy the floor to ceiling views over the pier. Tita served us well at the bar, and she and Jason made great drinks. I also got the crab cakes this time, which I thought were one of the deals on the menu. Again, nothing delectable there--more Cajun style than Chesapeake or CA, fyi.“

“I'm looking forward to my next stop at MB Post. I had a reservation for 3 at 7:15 on a Saturday night. We arrived a little early, checked in and waited at the bar for our table. The bar was crowded and the staff busy but our drink order was taken quickly. Cocktails were delicious, #Blessed will be my go-to here. It took a bit longer to get our drinks than we had anticipated. We waited for our table about 20 minutes beyond the time of our reservation and we had to circle back to the host to inquire how much longer before we would be seated. Our table was in the corner next to the kitchen and a service nook, loud and busy; next time I'll make a note to request a table away from the kitchen. It's a boisterous restaurant and the corner amplified the energy. We ordered the carrots, gnocchi, green beans and biscuits---all were incredibly delicious with the green beans being our favorite. Our server was prompt, courteous, food arrived without a long delay. We enjoyed Lola cab sauv with dinner. I gave the 4 stars for the service at the bar our need to check on our table. Overall a great experience and I will certainly be back.“

(She's unfortunately no longer with the company, but wanted to mention her, as she was such a huge part of us wanting to sign on). We were then re-assigned to Kat, who was equally awesome. I learned that all Stix & Straws sauces are scratch-made in-house, and not in the "add seasoning packet to mayo" way. The concept here is similar to yakitori, but the protein options range from grilled fish (a must!) to chicken and waffles. All. On. Stix. The sides are homemade and tasty as well. The $19 4-Stix combo easily feeds two average lunch appetites, as it comes with rice + salad + an additional side. $19 FOR TWO PEOPLE?! “This location has gone under numerous names and owners over the years but this incarnation is the best so far. Great beer options, well stocked bar, and a very good kitchen are all available to the visitor. I came by for lunch and ordered the cheese steak sandwich. It was AMAZING. They use truffle cheese, great bread, and the whole thing was delicious. Small pickle slice and pickled veggie garnish was a great touch. Service is solid and the place was not very crowded at noontime. Lots of live music and other stuff going on at night too.“
“This was our first private chef experience and without a doubt it blew us away! The attention to detail Chefs Juan and Nicole gave us was amazing. It was our 8 year wedding anniversary and they made it that much better. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the ribeye and the dry rub they use for the steaks was so good that I had to take some home and Chef Juan was gracious enough to share his secret rub. You can tell with just a couple minutes of conversation they are passionate about their craft and it shows in the quality and taste of the food. We had some fresh margarita cocktails to along side the dinner and you can taste the freshness as-well. I just wish I was able to take pictures of the night and the food but my wife and I enjoyed a couple hours of just us time for the first time in a long time. Thank you Chefs!!“

A bar tucked in on the side good sitting area. Recommende to RSVP or wait 30mins to be seated during dinner slot. Food was great, had the Chipotle burger and double patty melt on rye. For starters we had calamari and not your regular find, beefed up in size thick as your finger. Overall I enjoyed my meal only gripe was the sweet potatoe fries were served cold not freshly fried. Give it a try when you are in old town Torrance.“

I had the food delivered, but will pick up going forward to avoid delivery charges and order meals for several days.I got a Chicken Garden Bowl. The vegetables were impeccably fresh and the pulled chicken made my eyes roll it was so delicious. The lemon thyme dressing was perfectly fresh and so flavorful, that just a bit was needed.The cashew chocolate pudding was so rich and luscious, but not overly sweet.I have been shopping prepared meal plans for a while now and haven't found one that has the great food, fair prices and has a healthy menu. Ben's will fill the bill for me.“

It’s not a sit down restaurant, it’s like a collective of restaurants, like a food court but not because there’s only a couple places to sit and eat. You can order food online or at the site and pick up there. I didn’t know it was set up this way so it was confusing when driving there and trying to find it. The building says Daisy on it, you can park and go in.“
“Wonderful service. Our waitress, Candy, was excellent. Food was delicious and servings were large portions. Bread basket was unique and delicious. We had the beets and the fig NY steak which was cooked to the temperature we asked. Our only critique was that the homemade ice cream was a little too icy as if it may have had freezer burn. The presentation on everything was beautiful. We will come back again with friends.“

I took my girlfriend here and we were pleasantly surprised with the quick service, the quality of the food, and the friendliness of the staff. “We came here on Valentine's Day to celebrate and ordered the pork chop which was deliciously flavorful and seasoned well. My partner loved the lobster risotto although we wish the portioning on the risotto was a bit more and less asparagus puree. The peach cobbler was a perfect finisher! The manager was very attentive and so was a runner which immediately brought me a new utensil once my entree arrived. Would highly recommend the chicken empanadas and our server made a suggestion for the crispy rice which was delicious and comes in generous portions of 4.“

They played crowd favorites and kid favorites. Not a lot of places you can hear Sweet Caroline followed by Peaches from Super Mario Brothers. The service was great too. “I love Truxton's! When they first opened in Torrance I ordered Donna's Fish & Chips. They were outstanding! 2 very large fish pieces surrounded by hefty, wonderful French fries. Delicious! Over the years I continued to enjoy them. However, in recent years I noticed a significant change, and not for the better: Their fish gradually declined in size, to where they are about half the size they used to be. The taste of the fish is about the same, but I can't say that for their fries. They are small and skinny. And don't have the flavor I expected.But I continue to eat at Truxton's. Breakfast is incredible!“
