“This place is easily one of the best sushi spots on 2nd street, delicious options with plentiful portions. I tried the Mexican, AAA roll and the deep fried California roll with all 3 being stellar. The atmosphere is lively and the greeting when you walk in from the sushi chefs is nice ?

“My wife and I frequent many Japanese restaurants and this has become our favorite local spot. The menu is full of authentic and delicious options as well as the common comfort treats. The staff is attentive and kind and I can sense a real care to their House Special Recipes. Today we had the Chirashi and Tekka Don and they were both perfect. We also had the Truffle Hamachi Roll but devoured it before we could take pictures“

Utahs food is boring, bland and flavorless. Found this spot as I was rolling through Long Beach and decided to stop. The lady at the counter was super nice and welcoming! “Had the katsu curry done as well as the tempura udon here. The katsu curry was super tender, juicy, and very well made. The tempura udon was just okay -- there were a lot of ingredients, but something lacking in the overall flavor. But this place is super affordable, the food is good to excellent, and the service extremely efficient.“

“The Salmon Poke Bowl was soooo good I had to leave a review! The fish was tender and melted in my mouth while the sauce and crispy onions gave it such a good taste and satisfying mouthfeel. I’ve had sushi rolls here as well which are delicious.“

They have a great happy hour where appetizers and sushi are reduced, including some of their signature rolls. If you like heat, try the tsunami roll! You won’t be disappointed. “I ordered the beef teriyaki plate. It was ok. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade drink, but it did not taste organic. The strawberry lemonade tasted ok, not bad, but most likely, it has an artificial flavor to it. I noticed that when I came inside, the worker cleaning was nice and cool. I also noticed I almost sneezed inside, and I went outside to sneeze, and I couldn't sneeze. When I came inside, I saw the cashier sneeze ?. I just hope they are not sneezing a lot inside when they are close to the food and hope they are washing their hands every time. I got to my car with my food and drink and I ate a little bit then I sneezed. ??‍♂️?. The food was ok. But I do not know what made me sneeze or the cashier sneeze. I am feeling ok right now, though. The burrito poke and burrito bulgogi are also AMAZING. The small hand rolls are also delicious.
Lighter on fish than other poke places but the quality and taste of the fish is UNMATCHED! Couldn’t be a better taste, it’s amazing! Wow“

“It was good. I really enjoyed my poke bowl, and so did my asian mother who actualy doesn’t enjoy very much of anything not Chinese. My mother was kicking and screaming when I suggested the hanger. She was originally going to go somewhere else but I was very surprised when she brought a poke bowl back to our table. And she liked it. I ate a large, ate a half of a bowl, and brought the rest home. Put it in the fridge and took it out and just ate it and it was good! Some places the rice and other stuff isn’t good quality anymore, but nope this was just dandy. I got the brown rice, the salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, and octopus. I got most of everything. Got the asian sauce and the spicy mayo. I am accustomed to having poke bowls not as often but sometimes. But for my mother who I didn’t think would like it, to like it thats pretty good. It was her first time eating a poke bowl too.“

Green tea is steep yourself in suoer hot water for the right depth of tea, and truly great flavor. Sushi (spicy tuna) was delish. So glad I took my car in for servicing down the street and needed a lunch place while I waited!“

“Today, Monday 6/16/25, here at work, I went to go take my lunch. I wanted to try this place called Hungry Horse. I stopped by customer service, which was friendly, and I ordered number 16 on their menu, which comes with salad and white rice mix grill meats shrimp chicken and beef. Personally, I dont like my plate, so I have no reason. This plate was perfect. The amount of meat rice and salad was perfect. I opened my meal so delicious, not over exaggerating it was so bomb I ate so comfortable. Hungry horse, my not look so good the outside but let me tell the food is so good and cheap for plate like this and so fire I am coming back just remember take cash they dont accept credit cards. I am gladly coming back for lunch here again.“

As soon as you walk in, you are met with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere befitting such a nice restaurant. The menu is full of variety, with classic staples like gyoza and tuna rolls while also featuring special dishes, with my personal favorite being the spider rolls, which are absolutely delicious. Service is quite fast and the owner is extremely welcoming to customers. It is clear that the owner really puts their heart into the food and makes it impossible not to enjoy the meals prepared for you.

“Amazing, the only word to describe this teriyaki, is one the best places to experience it from. From being fortunate of growing up near by. You know when you travel to different regions are you tempted to try similar dishes. So far never found anything of the same caliber. Unfortunately, I always crave eating this teriyaki from where ever I might find myself at the moment.“
