“My new favorite sushi spot in Long Beach. Omg - once, they had some uni from Japan (not Santa Barbara, like most uni here) that was unREAL. I’d advise getting some of the regular sushi/sashimi and not just rolls. Their ramen is bomb, too. As are their appetizers. We usually get the spicy edamame. The owner is a gem, too. Really nice lady who remembers her customers, which always feels nice.“

“​I drive by this place all the time. It's right off the 405 freeway. And I finally got to try this place. I ordered the #8 Supreme plate. It came with a small lobster tail and Angus steak which were both nice and tender. It also came with fried rice which was good and buttery. It came with mixed vegetables: onions, carrots, and zucchini. I really enjoyed the service here. The guy working the cash register was extremely nice and attentive. He made sure everyone in there was properly taken care of. I really enjoyed this place and I can't wait to come back here and try other items on their menu.“

The sushi is fresh and tasty - manageable portions so you can really try a bunch of things without completely over-ordering.

“The Salmon Poke Bowl was soooo good I had to leave a review! The fish was tender and melted in my mouth while the sauce and crispy onions gave it such a good taste and satisfying mouthfeel. I’ve had sushi rolls here as well which are delicious.“

“Solid 4's all around. We came in at 4pm right when they closed for lunch and they were super generous to still let us eat.
From the outside it's deceiving and looks like a square building and black our windows but inside is really nice. You can sit at the bar style right in front of the sushi chef (we did) or in the dining room.
We had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna and the special roll with Salmon sashimi.
All with great quality and presentation.
Me personally thought it was a touch to spicy and the salmon sashimi was a tougher piece but everything else was great.
The only reason for the 4 stars are for that and the $85 bill afterwards.

“I was walking by and decided to stop in. Boy am I glad I did! The food was served fast and it was delicious! They have a great happy hour where appetizers and sushi are reduced, including some of their signature rolls. If you like heat, try the tsunami roll! You won’t be disappointed. The tempura udon was just okay -- there were a lot of ingredients, but something lacking in the overall flavor. “It was good. I really enjoyed my poke bowl, and so did my asian mother who actualy doesn’t enjoy very much of anything not Chinese. My mother was kicking and screaming when I suggested the hanger. She was originally going to go somewhere else but I was very surprised when she brought a poke bowl back to our table. And she liked it. I ate a large, ate a half of a bowl, and brought the rest home. Put it in the fridge and took it out and just ate it and it was good! Some places the rice and other stuff isn’t good quality anymore, but nope this was just dandy. I got the brown rice, the salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, and octopus. I got most of everything. Got the asian sauce and the spicy mayo. I am accustomed to having poke bowls not as often but sometimes. But for my mother who I didn’t think would like it, to like it thats pretty good. It was her first time eating a poke bowl too.“

“Amazing food! Their poke bowls are very good. I was really worried they'd give too much rice but they do not skimp on the toppings at all. Handrolls are also good, and everything is seasoned/marinated perfectly. However I urge you to order online as infrequent as possible as they regularly forget multiple toppings I order, even when I pay more for extra.“

“My wife and I frequent many Japanese restaurants and this has become our favorite local spot. The menu is full of authentic and delicious options as well as the common comfort treats. The staff is attentive and kind and I can sense a real care to their House Special Recipes. Today we had the Chirashi and Tekka Don and they were both perfect. We also had the Truffle Hamachi Roll but devoured it before we could take pictures“

“Really great Japanese restaurant. Miso soup is legit - brothy with lots of adds with seaweed, green onion and tofu. Super flavorful. Green tea is steep yourself in suoer hot water for the right depth of tea, and truly great flavor. Sushi (spicy tuna) was delish. So glad I took my car in for servicing down the street and needed a lunch place while I waited!“

As soon as you walk in, you are met with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere befitting such a nice restaurant. The menu is full of variety, with classic staples like gyoza and tuna rolls while also featuring special dishes, with my personal favorite being the spider rolls, which are absolutely delicious. Service is quite fast and the owner is extremely welcoming to customers. It is clear that the owner really puts their heart into the food and makes it impossible not to enjoy the meals prepared for you.

“Amazing, the only word to describe this teriyaki, is one the best places to experience it from. From being fortunate of growing up near by. You know when you travel to different regions are you tempted to try similar dishes. So far never found anything of the same caliber. “Went in to get the charlbroiled teriyaki chicken burger ... make sure to NOT get the patty.. and was pleasantly surprised by the great taste but was shocked at the sheer size of the burger. I got it for lunch but could not eat all of it. Saved it for dinner where pulled the remaining teriyaki off and heated it up with steamed rice. Two great meals for a great price of underground $9! The picture on the wall menu is very appropriate. Great place to check out.“

“Pro tip. Order sushi to go and take it to sake secret next door for the perfect meal to go with a drink. Sushi is yummy and staff are nice. Rolls are fresh and made to order. The wait is not bad for sushi! The price ia good for sushi not bad and ypu definitely get your money worth.“
