“Stopped by ATO Handroll Bar on our drive back to Vegas from California and honestly… such a hidden gem. We came in about an hour before closing and still had a great experience. Rodolfo was our sushi chef and not only were the handrolls very good, but the whole place was super clean and had a really calm vibe. “What a perfect hole in the wall Sushi spot. I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Disney. Narrowed it down to Hana out of 50 sushi restaurants. How this restaurant only has a 4.5 rating is besides me. Absolutely incredible service and food. FREE MISO SOUP!!! Yes, you read that correctly. They also have ACE if you are a big eater. There is a small alcohol serving too. The location has outdoor seating, but I didn't see anyone using it. I ordered a regular Tuna roll as part of dinner, and it came with the rice on the out. It was perfectly fresh and delicious. I asked if the Chef can do Tuna Maki as off the menu, and he pulled through! I cant say enough good things. 5 Stars all the way. I hope I can return.
Tip: Parking is limited.

“The thickest and girthiest sushi rolls I've ever had and it was fantastic.
The staff and service was incredible! Big shout out to Crystal** our server and John the owner for making us feel extremely welcomed and very well fed.

My personal fave was the I LOVE JASMINE roll named after the owner's wife and the Daniel San roll named after the owner's son!

It's a family of great taste forsure!

Also loved how amazing the ambiance was, a GIANT screen to watch the game, plenty of fun decorations that made the space feel fun and alive!

“This was such an incredible experience, my group sat at the sushi bar and this was all our first times having Omakase. We couldn’t have asked for a better and more delicious experience. The couple that owns this restaurant is so sweet and absolutely incredible with customer service. We felt like we had been coming here for years, and ordered more food at the end of our 12 piece meal bc it was all so delicious and we couldn’t get enough. I think we each got 3 more pieces. “I live near this Japanese style food restaurant but never have tried, today I decided to have for dinner with my family, my wife had the combo #02(combos come with beverage)she got beef and with white rice and x2 piece californa roll, I got combo #01 chicken and white rice with 4 dumplings, and for my 5yr old son we got him chicken no sauce with rice with the option of a mini box size, perfect for a toddler, we all were very pleased with the food quality and taste.
The chicken is very authentic in flavor not like most fast food, highly processed chicken taste and the sauce is made their, so it's very homemade hand crafted taste which I personally love, I have fall in love with the flavor and I am excited to try more of the dishes served here.
If your are someone who eats slop, highly processed food, made to feed cancer cells you probably won't appreciate the authentic flavor of a dying food craft made with love, this is not fast good, if you appreciate food craft to a culinary degree this place is for you.

I went on a weekend for their lunch set tasting menu. Everything was executed well, though the dishes followed a very consistent flavor profile throughout the meal. While it was all very good and high quality, don't expect anything experimental or wild.
You will probably want to order a few extra items a la carte to feel fully satisfied. At around $225–$300 for lunch for two, the price tag feels a bit steep for a midday meal, but you are definitely paying for quality ingredients and a tasting experience.“

“Worthy of a special trip! They took such care in their preparation. It’s not a glitzy place but the service was special. Counter order, lots of options. My wife and I stopped there as we were staying at the Hampton inn in the same area. I had a yellowtail roll along with tempura and my wife had the salmon. Vegetables were perfect presentation was spot on for casual dining and my roll was one of the best I’ve had. Perfect proportion of spicy tuna to yellowtail to rice. If I lived in the area I would go here at least once a week. Prices were also spot on and in many cases extremely reasonable. Bravo Kabuto!!! A special place!!“

“Sushi & Teriyaki Plus is a great place to dine, have delivery or take away. It is an adorable. It is not large. Parking is easy and free.

There really is nothing you will not like there. Personally, we consider the shrimp tempura to be the best. But they have a great menu and you will find something you want. We also love their seaweed salad and their fried rice. It is all just great.

Their tuna sushi and their California roll are perfect.

The service is ever so friendly and they are fast. You order at the counter and they will call you when it is ready.

The place is just cute, not too big and not too small. The prices are fair. If you are in Downey this is a must stop. Have the best time. You will love it.“

“This place is GREAT! Not OK, not good… GREAT! I’ve been to all the teriyaki spots up and down Whittier Blvd, and you simply aren’t going to get a better deal than this. Very fair prices for very large portions, but which always means very happy customers.

Customer service is excellent, they have a soda fountain with Coke products (and cans for other brands), a few tables inside so good for a quick lunch/dinner or takeout.

This place is an absolute no-brainer for simple, great Japanese food. If you’ve never been, you need to come, and if you have been, you need to come back. Skip the Flame Broiler’s and Panda Expresses and be happy that you came here instead.“
