When the Packing House is just too packed, Rodeo 39 has so many more options without the large crowd making it a great food hall to come with friends who aren't very good at unanimously choosing a restaurant. My personal favorite places are Banh Xeo Boys for the Banh Xeo, Kare for their katsu curry, phoholic for pho (of course), Steel Pan Pizza for their mushroom pizza, and Shootz for their Kimchi Butter Shrimp. Honorable mentions are Tenori and the Mexican restaurant that unfortunately, I can't remember the name of. Grab your food and choose a nice spot on the patio or inside by the bar to grab a drink later and enjoy the variety of options they provide with relatively reasonable prices.“

A total of 4 of us came with my 2yr old that fell asleep. Without even asking the staff accommodated us by seating us in the enclosed outdoor area (it's quieter there than inside) and turned on the heater without being asked. Extremely attentive staff checking in on us (we never felt forgotten outside). “I went here for a business meeting with someone I was meeting for the first time. We both were amazed at the quality of the fish. Just on look alone, it looked like what you would see at a high priced sushi spot. They have 50% nigiri, so salmon is like $3.99 for 2 pieces. Tuna is $4.50 for 2 pieces and the most expensive is Otoro at like $15 for 2 pieces. Typically, a 50% off sushi sign would terrify me, and I would be lying if I said i wasn't skeptical the first time I went here but I assure you, the skepticism will be long gone after you see the sushi hit the table. It tastes incredible and it was so good that after going my first time, I went again 2 more times over the course of the next 2 weeks. This sushi spot is 50 minutes from where u live in Santa Monica and I plan to absolutely return soon. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND“

Crunchy skin, moist salmon and flavored just right. The salad, though small, was dressed appropriately. The salad dressing very yummy. The miso soup with tofu and seaweed was spot on. Truly not from a packet. My partner ordered the yaki soba. Very reminiscent of our tours in Japan. Brought us back to the little shops of Tokyo. The first reason I'd go back is they have an employee by the name of America, I told her it was our first time she introduced both beef and chicken teriyaki so we could taste both flavors and it was by far a great recommendation. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. “Finally made it here!! My husband and I went here for date night recently and we ordered the two kinds of meat, the creamy udon, and the cheese tonkatsu. We happen to come on a Friday night a little after they open and luckily it wasn't busy just yet. The service was really fast and the quality of the meat was amazing! The cheese tonkatsu was a bit heavier so by the time we finished grilling our meats and eating some of the udon, we were too full to finish the cheese tonkatsu. The creamy udon is a beef curry udon with a topped layer of this special cream that has this grainy texture similar to mashed potatoes. It was good to try, but I wouldn't get it again. I'll probably try the other noodles that they offer. I really enjoyed the concept of grilling the meat in front of you to your liking. It comes as a set so it was a perfect meal. “Cozy sushi spot with a huge variety of sushi choices. Even the Bento box offered a couple sushi choices vs just chicken, beef, salmon. Downside was the service was pretty bad. Hopefully it was a fluke day because I plan on going back to give it another try. My guests food came before mine...the table next to us that arrived quite a bit after us, got their food before me. Not sure how their communication failed but it did. I hope to do a new review next time I'm there and hopefully the service is more efficient. ?“
