“I hosted a small group for work at Sekoya and we had a fantastic time. Olivia, the head bartender, was super friendly and very accommodating when it came to making some custom cocktails. We were seated in the lounge area, which was really nice and casual for our group. We shared a bunch of starters and I'll have to call out that the fried mushrooms, the beef, tongue, skewers, and the crispy tuna rolls were really delicious! I had the tropical nights cocktail, which was so tasty and a good size drink. “

“Simply art for the eyes and taste buds. The atmosphere at Flowers is light, yet formal enough for any special occasion. The cocktails were beautifully presented with a wide range of choices (although no alcohol free beer, which is too bad because there are a growing number of really good artisan low alcohol beers out there).
The food was as gorgeous as it was sumptuous. We stared with the blue fin tuna bites, which was enough for three of us to have one each (so we ordered two orders), along with the prawn cigars (4 in that order). Amazing.
Our party ordered the diver scallops with a crispy rice cake and pork belly, the Cortez halibut with garlic cream, the duck breast with risotto and cherry chutney, and the misoyaki cod with forbidden rice. All were cooked beautifully (the scallops were a tad overdone but that’s being slightly critical). I would have liked the pork belly to have been a little less done too. But the fried rice cake made up for those slight imperfections.
The forbidden rice and cod was a pleasant surprise, definitely the best cod I’ve ever had and paired with the forbidden rice it was a stellar combination. And the halibut was unbelievably good.
Desserts were also decadently good. We ordered the key lime pie, the deconstructed apple pie, and the bread pudding. We all thought the bread pudding stole the show so if you are limited to just one, go with that.
And the service? Quirky and excellent with our server having a great sense of humour and good recommendations.
Less than full marks for their decaf coffee though, but it may have just been a mechanical failure.

“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! My rating: 10++++“

“Came for the Valentines Day special and had the tasting menu - food was excellent and the dishes had very complex textures and flavors, and everything was clearly curated very carefully and intentionally. The staff was surprisingly attentive and pleasant despite how busy it got, and they even took the time to take a polaroid of us and present us our photo with a small paper flower. 100% would return“

“Had a wonderful Valentines day meal here. There is only the option to order from the course menu on Valentines. I had the mussels to start, sea bass as my main, and apple strudel for dessert. Everything was delicious and very filling.
There was a violin player at the dinner who played beautiful music.
Highly recommend for special occasions.
About $100 per person for the course menu.
Would not recommend for Vegetarians/Vegans“

“I was happily surprised to find Saturday evening reservations available at this outstanding Menlo Park establishment. I was in Palo Alto to visit my god-daughter at Stanford and had a hankering for some awesome food while in town. The restaurant has its own (free) parking lot, which was also a big plus. We were greeted warmly and seat promptly for our 7:15 pm reservation. The services was very attentive, right off the bat, with water and fresh baked bread arriving swiftly. The lamb chop appetizer was divine and our only complaint about the delicious dungeness crab gnocchi appetizer is that it wasn't available as an entree portion (we made a suggestion to the chef to change that). She joined the clean plate club with her risotto entree and I really enjoyed the fresh catch entree. If you drink lemonade, don't miss out on the lavender rendition offered here. We were saddened that they has already sold out of the homemade snickerdoodle ice-cream, but I guess we'll have to save it for next time. I can't wait to visit here again. It was simply outstanding. Thankfully my god-daughter has two more years at Stanford!“

The A5 Japanese Wagyu Ribeye was perfectly marbled and melted effortlessly, while the Crab and Caviar delivered a luxurious balance of brine and sweetness. The lobster toast was crisp, buttery, and indulgent, and the Black Bass—flawless in execution—was the best I’ve encountered. The Ricotta Dumplings , delicate yet deeply flavorful, rounded out an unforgettable meal. The shigoku oysters with whipped ponzu were indescribably fresh and flavorful. The sunflower Caesar, with its preserved tomato jam, was a unique and unforgettable twist on a classic. “This place is an amazing spot, specializing in a variety of amazing food options including, fusion and incredible appetizers that are easily shared and make for a great time in any dining experience. The staff was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was that of a high end restaurant. We did however experience a slight sewer odor when we first arrived but it dissipated shortly afterwards.“

“We were weary travelers stopping by Scotty's in hope of a more chill vibe with some good food, and Scottys delivered! Our bartender, Sergio, was so friendly and fun! We got some inside knowledge about the town as we are from Oregon. The drinks were perfect and the food was top notch! I would have expected to pay a lot more for the quality of food and service we received at literally any of the surrounding places. We will visit Palo Alto again if only to go back to Scotty's as a new tradition! Thank you, Sergio, for making our anniversary dinner a great one! Someone give him a raise!“

“We had a nice table in the mezzanine, which we really enjoyed. We were meeting with friends who really needed to unwind from some things going on in their life. “Everything we had was tasty. The mussels dish was our favorite. Garlic noodle was also really good. The salmon mousse, we couldn’t really taste the salmon in it but it tasted fine. We also ordered catch of the day dish (not shown in picture), the fish was light and crispy but the kimchi fried rice it came with was lacking; it tasted more like lightly seasoned fried rice—couldn’t taste the kimchi. Overall, the presentation was great and taste was enjoyable.“

“My recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring I felt right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
The highlight of my stay, however, was the exceptional service at the hotel bar. José, the bartender, was amazing! Not only did he craft delicious drinks, but his friendly and genuine approach made every visit to the bar feel personal. His knowledge of cocktails and attention to detail were impressive, and he went out of his way to ensure guests were taken care of.
Overall, the hospitality at the Hilton Garden Inn exceeded my expectations, and the staff, particularly José, made the experience memorable. I’ll definitely be returning!“

“Aloft Sunnyvale on its own is good enough value for money spent. However, what truly stood out was the customer ser ice of its front desk. Shoutout to Michelle for helping me out a ton when I was trying to extend my stay. No excuses were made and she found a way to get it done even under difficult circumstances. Roy was also great with the room upgrade when he saw that I had brought a friend and might have needed a bigger bed. 10/10 Customer Service!“

“This is one of my favorite cantinas for lunch when working on trees in Portola Valley. Don't miss their veggie tacos and margaritas! ⚡?⚡Friendly service and a wonderfully kind señor cantinero with bright blue eyes and a welcoming smile and generous pour. This place fills up, but there is always a lot of seating and plenty of outdoor tables as well. I believe this place is the central community spot for all of us arborists and contractors after a long day of work. Quick and delicious. Great service to your table and plenty of refills on chips and salsa. Don't miss their flan either . ??? You guys make my day. Thank you!!?

“Quite a treat to have great food, service and atmosphere just a staircase away! I enjoyed the Tortellini Chicken Alfredo considerably. Props on the cherry tomatoes as well, which were perfectly tender and full of flavor. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying a meal with the excellent and attentive staff here at Kitchen.“
