“We recently hosted an event at Shubham Halls, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is convenient with plenty of parking, and the hall itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained! From the initial phone call with Arun to finalizing the menu with Manoj everything was organized really well which makes the planning and execution part of any event easier.

The staff was courteous and supportive during setup and teardown. They were flexible with our decor and seating arrangements, which helped a lot. The audio-visual equipment worked well, and the lighting created a warm, inviting atmosphere. They have pre-approved vendors for decor, cakes and other things which makes this truly a one stop shop for all your event needs!

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Shubham Halls for anyone looking for a clean, affordable venue in the heart of Sunnyvale.“

It’s very hard to come by such well-run places these days. The food is absolutely fantastic as well as reasonably priced. They cater to all taste buds and even modify it if you ask.

Paul and other staff members know the definition of hospitality and put it into practice!

Also, unlike other Indian places, they use Olive Oil for their cooking which doesn’t make you uneasy after a big meal. For this very reason, most days, our post workout meal is at Maya’s Kitchen ????“

The dine in experience was excruciating. We were offered the pappadam immediately after we were seated. We waited 30 minutes for the momos (appetizer) to arrive and another 40 minutes after we finished momos for the main course (1 curry & 2 naan).

While we patiently waited 60+ minutes in total for our food, there were plenty of to go orders slinging out of kitchen every 2-3 minutes. I suspect this restaurant prefers takeout (they also offer discounts for takeout if I remember correctly).“

Portion Size and Value: The portion size is shockingly small, especially given the pricing. It’s hard to overlook how inadequate the quantity is, which really impacts the overall value for money.

“We visited Himalayan Magic Masala in San Jose for the first time with our family visiting from Canada, and we were all blown away! They said it was the best Nepali food they've had so far, and we completely agree. The butter chicken, momos, pani puri, tandoori chicken, and especially the butter naan and lacha paratha were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. This used to be a Mexican restaurant so a lot of the lively colors have been kept.

Pretty inexpensive and a great place to go to after a busy Costco shopping session next door.

Gets busy on the weekends. Come around 5pm on a weekday to get quick service and the freshest of the day.

The staff are incredibly polite and professional. Packaging is great.

“Delicious South Indian food with great service. It’s located on El Camino so is easy to access and has a decent sized parking lot shared with neighboring stores. It’s a small restaurant with most orders being taken out or delivered so its interiors are sparse. The food itself is delicious - we had a masala dosa and it was amazing as were the sambhar and chutneys. The menu is very reasonably priced for the quality of food.

Update: returned to have the same food and it wasn’t as good nor was the service - asked for a dosa with less oil and it was crazy oily. Taking off a star since food was the basis for the prior 5 star review.“

The food quality has been consistent over the past 30+ years, & they have survived the economic ups and downs. Their goal is simple; to provide home style taste at an affordable price. There are barely 3 tables so it's very basic. But if you crave pure veg, fresh food that tastes like home, certainly recommend it. The owner Manoj Bhai and his wife Bhavika Ben are still working there to ensure we walk out with a satisfaction of a tasty and sumptuous meal.
