“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“Seafood like you have never tried. We shared tasted from each section of the menu . Soft Shell Crab Taco, Yellowtail/Dragonfruit/Ceviche, a Scallop Tostada. Absolutely Loved it ALL. Then ended with the Branzino rice/beans and 3 delightful sauces shared for 4. It was perfect. Also, tried a unique Old Fashioned cocktail made with a delicate smoky Mezcal like I have never tasted.“

“There are so many reasons to love Yess.
1. The vegetables!! OMG You might not be expecting it, but the vegetables here are so delicious and they hold their own against the fish. Expect seasonal vegetables and wonderful provisions that will blow your mind.
2. This is one of the very few places where you can get locally caught bluefin sushi here in Los Angeles. Maybe one of about 3 places right now as of this review? They don't have it all the time so call ahead.
3. The berry kakigori is otherworldly good.
4. How nice is it to go to a restaurant and not have to yell at the people at your tent just you have a conversation?

“don’t listen to those people below. i’ve been here several times and it’s always an amazing experience. if you’re afraid of shrimp with the heads on and order a pimento cheeseburger with lettuce instead of a bun, you are infinitely unqualified to critique food.
what takes this place from good to great is the service. the host and servers are attentive without being overbearing and are deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of the raw bar, cooked food, wine, and beverages. i’ve never had an issue with accommodating simple modifications (like removing a pork product).
I was in fact at the restaurant the night one reviewer below (complaining about the service) was there. they were an entitled group of drunk girls asking for difficult requests (trying to split the bill a number of ways). as they were walking out of the restaurant and waiting for the uber, they were extremely loud and rude. I wouldn’t be particularly excited to serve their group either.
all in all, highly recommend this spot. the menu is always evolving, and now that they have a full bar, they make a killer martini.“

“Tranquil spot with various omakase options. Came here with my family for an early dinner and made a reservation online beforehand. We opted for the Sushi Bar Omakase for $109 which came with 8 courses (including dessert). A couple of courses had multiple pieces, and we left very full. The blue crab hand roll was my favorite part; it was huge, hot, and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious. The fish was super fresh and the pieces kept coming. It was fun to watch them being prepared right in front of us at the bar (there are table seats as well). We enjoyed our meal and I would recommend this for special occasions or a way to treat yourself.“

“Please please do yourself a favor and eat here! We had the ceviche Classico & lomo saltado - I’m not even joking that my boyfriend and I had to hug after the meal because it was SO delicious and enjoyable. The flavors were bright and unique. You can tell that these recipes were thoughtful created! Can’t wait to try more on the menu ❤️“

“L&E is my go-to neighborhood spot. So lucky that I am steps (well, two flights of Silver Lake steps) away. I just threw my birthday there with my closest girlfriends and their staff made the night so special. The food was incredible, the vibes were immaculate - always have an amazing time at L&E.“

“Freshest restaurant quality sashimi and sushi at a reasonable price in the U.S. Their sashimi is top notch. Highly recommend the Hamachi/yellowtail toro (so underrated), the scallops, and the squid/ika, but honestly any of the options won’t disappoint. Also a big fan of their tamago and their Takuan roll (which has fresh perilla leaves inside)!
If you’re a big sashimi/sushi enjoyer and value quality, this place is perfect!“

“We showed up fashionably late (totally our fault), but the host was super kind and told us to take a little stroll while they got things ready. We headed to Golden Hour for drinks—such a cute spot! By the time we came back, everyone seemed to know it was a birthday (shoutout to the note I left in the reservation), and they were so attentive the whole night. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, the food was bursting with flavor, and to top it all off, they surprised my partner with tropical ice cream and a candle—such a sweet touch. Service was good; we couldn't order a second round of drinks because it was last call, but our waitress brought him a Coke instead, which was thoughtful. The atmosphere and vibes more than made up for it. Definitely planning a round two... except this time, we'll actually be on time. Big thanks to the whole team!“

“This was formerly a M- star restaurant and it is no suprise why based on the food. The ambiance isn't anything to write home about and some of the seat cushions were ripped up. The server's explained the food really well and food came fast. Would definitely recommend this for a seafood lover and for someone who enjoys spicy food. I had a few dishes that I had never heard of like a drink made with condensed milk, coconut water and something else...it was good. The green sauce they serve with the chips is VERY spicy. Would definitely go again and try some different things.“

“Very cute spot, that I would return to if I had a random weekday off. When we went there were hardly any other parties so we had no issues finding a seat.
The menu has something for everyone. It didn't take long for our order to come out. Portions were bigger than what I was expecting (I was worried they were going to be tapas sized portion, but the yellowtail tostada was quite filling), so I would say that dishes are reasonably priced. My friend and I felt the flavors hit the mark with each dish.
In retrospect, I could have ordered just the tostada with my americano and be satisfied. But I am glad to have tried more things on the menu. I would say that the dishes, while savory, leaned more light which I think is perfect for brunch.
During our visit, I got the yellowtail tostada, fish taco, and flautas. All were delicious. They also have a milk punch/clarified cocktail that my friend ordered (which are hard to find in LA) and it was also a well balanced drink.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in all of LA. I never post reviews but I had to write one about this place. This is the best seafood I have ever eaten hands down - the combination of flavors that Octavio has thoughtfully curated is completely unique to anything I’ve experienced and will send you to a different dimension (try the king kanpachi tostada!) Not to mention Octavio is a great hang and makes you feel like an old friend. His kindness is matched only by his charm. This is the perfect restaurant, if I could give it a thousand stars I would.“

“This was the first time I had dinner at Ospi. I had had lunch here when they first opened and thought it was ok. But I gave it another try, this time for dinner, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We had the fried mozzarella which came with a cream infused tomato sauce which was delicious. The meatballs and kale salad were winners as well. I normally like Neopolitan style pizza so was a bit skeptical that they served thin crust pizzas but that was absolutely delicious as well. We skipped on ordering the ice cream sundae with marshmellows and regretted it when we saw another table digging when while we were leaving. I plan to come back for sure.“

“We always try to get there before the line shows up, 5:30ish. Sneak in, split the combo between two people and really dig into the various sides (fish skin, kimchi, broccoli, etc.) that come up with the soup and entree.

“A very stylish bar tucked away in downtown LA near Grand Central Market feels like an NYC bar. I had a great chat with the owners—they hand-select everything they serve, from small-batch wines to charcuterie sourced from both local and international makers. It’s a perfect spot for a date or catching up with an old friend. Everyone was super friendly, and the doorman adds a nice touch of safety and comfort.“

“Went here specifically for the lobster roll. Best I've ever had. Yes it's small, lobster rolls are always small. Yes it's expensive, but I've paid more and they weren't nearly as delicious. We got the warm with butter, in my opinion, the only way to eat lobster. And it was delicious. Just splurge, so worth it. I will come back just for the lobster roll. That's all we got, so I can't comment on anything else“

“What a beautiful restaurant for a night out. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was stepping into the most beautiful restaurant with a front row view to the fountains and some good food. My favorite was the esquite. With every bite I took, I felt the tangy flavor from the seasonings and it was delightful! Not too overpowering. I ended the night with dessert and it was amazing.“

“love simon. recently the quality has decreased a bit, with twice getting soggy oily tacos that just dont have the care put into them that they used to. the new digital ordering tablet is really bad. i also wish they would put their salsas into to-go cups for you so it would be cleaner than a communal station. four stars because they used to be my favorite truck in la and i know what they’re capable of!“

“Amazing takeout family meal which features the most flavorful and delicious Char Siu Wagyu Short Rib with fluffy bao. All side dishes are well executed and delectable. One of the best staying at home meals I’ve had! Highly recommend it!“
