“One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m visiting LA with my girl and her parents from France, we decided to come here and order a LA bag to share. We get the food and it was too spicy for my girl, owner Jake seen she stopped eating and had our server Michelle bring out an extra entree on the house for her. Jake came over afterward and talked to us for awhile, even ended up throwing an extra beer on the house in for my girl’s father. Great food, even better service, perfect way for my new French family to experience the USA. 11/10 experience!“

“You’re not coming to Coni’s on Centinela for the atmosphere (super harsh lighting). And the service, while friendly, isn’t really anything to write home about. But the food is outstanding! Came with a friend and a huge appetite so we ordered way too much food and loved practically everything we had. I’d never tried Nayarit-style Mexican food and lemme tell ya - I’m all in. The chips are fantastic and the verde hot sauce that accompanies is delicious and spicy. Started with Ceviche de Pescado which was super flavorful, but was the only minor disappointment as the fish to cucumber-tomato-onion-chile ratio could have used more fish. Still, it tasted really good, so not really a big deal. Was also initially disappointed that the Snook wasn’t available, but was super happy with the Camarones Borrachos and the Langostinos that we ended up having. Both of these dishes come with their own unique sauce - the shrimp with a super tasty tequila garlic sauce and the lobster with their signature spicy red sauce. But wait folks, there’s more! Also tried all three of their tacos: Tacos de Pescado Empanizado, Tacos de Marlin, and Tacos al Gobernador. All three were good, but the standout for me was the shrimp tacos! The marlin taco was a close second for me. Like I said, we brought our appetites :) I’m definitely coming back to Coni’s to try the snook but next time I plan to check out the Inglewood location since there’s no alcohol service at Centinela. I think a beer is the right choice to accompany this style of food. In any case, I highly recommend the food at Coni’s!“

“If you’re in East LA and craving solid mariscos, Playita Mariscos is hands-down a go-to spot. I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints.

Their shrimp tacos are a must. You can get them hard or soft, and either way they’re packed with flavor. I love that every taco plate comes with rice and beans and chips — it makes it a full, satisfying meal. And let’s talk about the ceviche: it’s always fresh and super good. They offer different types, so there’s something for everyone, and you can really taste the quality in every bite.

The people who work here are friendly and generous with the salsa and extras, which always makes the experience even better. The restaurant itself is super clean, and even though it’s usually packed on the weekends, the vibe is welcoming and worth the wait.

“Ate dine in at this little hole-in-the-wall joint on a recent visit to LA. Close (street) parking was a miracle, but theres also parking (and bathrooms) across the street at the El Super. Portions for a Boil Bag were generous, one corn, potato, rice and a few broccoli were included. All amenities were provided: table paper, bibs, sanitizer, bucket, gloves, scissors for crab legs. Cajun garlic butter seasoning was delicious, not too spicy for the kids. Speaking of kids, seafood boil keep kids remarkably entertained! This place deserves all the good reviews. Our only (small) complaint is the distance to a bathroom, but it's a small price to pay for a delicious meal.“

“Lobster Bisque in a bread bowl!“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“L&E is my go-to neighborhood spot. So lucky that I am steps (well, two flights of Silver Lake steps) away. I just threw my birthday there with my closest girlfriends and their staff made the night so special. The food was incredible, the vibes were immaculate - always have an amazing time at L&E.“

“Absolutely delicious food. The shrimps are big and perfectly cooked. We ordered 2 pounds (shrimp, calamari, clams) with the captain Loui sauce, and we cleaned the bag empty lol it was delicious!!!! It worked great for 3 people. The Cajun fries are also super tasty. Last but not least, the service is wonderful and attentive. Will definitely come back again with friends!“

“Been to this place a couple of times before. It's totally a very casual vibe, the bartenders are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and not on the expensive side especially for what you get. We will continue to go back. Great selection of beer if that's what you are into.“

“All the food was outstanding. The raw fish and seafood was unbelievably fresh and aptly paired with elevated fresh flavors. The tostadas reminded me of Contramar in Cdmx, but even better (dare i say).

The atmosphere is beautiful, has a massive garden space, scattered lighting, copious succulents. It feels like an escape right in LA. The service is warm, personable, efficient.

Definitely worth the trip and such a great find.“

If you enjoy fresh sushi fish that are reasonably priced then you most definitely must check out this gem!!! “The inside decor and set up of this place is nice and comfortable. I took my dad here for his 90th bday because he loves oysters. I researched ADA access in advance and it seemed to accommodate but onsite it's very tight navigation. Tables and seats on the patio partially blocked the wheelchair access route. Some diners weren't pleasant or accommodating about moving. Also parking is difficult if busy. Very small shared lot and tight and limited street parking. We were fortunate because we had an early reservation but when we left cars were stacked on the adjacent street waiting for space. Physical mobility and parking loses this place a star. The food and service were otherwise good. Met our expectations. The prices are pricey but we knew that and didn't mind since it was for my dad's experience. It would be tough to make this a regular dining experience due to cost. Otherwise the shellfish was fresh, but their Cesar salad was a bit overdressed, the presentation was very good and 3 of us left feeling satisfied. Only bummer was my dad was not offered a bday treat, they don't really do that I guess.“

“A Peruvian gem tucked away in a strip mall absolutely delivers.

Perfectly seasoned lomo saltado with tender beef, fries soaking up that savory sauce, and fluffy rice on the side. Bright, fresh ají verde that actually has depth, not just heat and would be good on just about anything. Finished it off with plantains and a creamy Peruvian dessert that hit exactly right.

“The best deep fried fish and shrimp around. We drive from the inland empire to LA for the food, it's that good. Best to dine in as the food is best fresh. Very nice people who work there, always polite. The number 12 combo with rice, beans, and gravy is my favorite.

“Very cute spot, that I would return to if I had a random weekday off. When we went there were hardly any other parties so we had no issues finding a seat.

The menu has something for everyone. It didn't take long for our order to come out. Portions were bigger than what I was expecting (I was worried they were going to be tapas sized portion, but the yellowtail tostada was quite filling), so I would say that dishes are reasonably priced. My friend and I felt the flavors hit the mark with each dish.

In retrospect, I could have ordered just the tostada with my americano and be satisfied. But I am glad to have tried more things on the menu. I would say that the dishes, while savory, leaned more light which I think is perfect for brunch.

During our visit, I got the yellowtail tostada, fish taco, and flautas. All were delicious. They also have a milk punch/clarified cocktail that my friend ordered (which are hard to find in LA) and it was also a well balanced drink.“

“Nice restaurant in East Hollywood. Place was clean and a little slow when I went. The prices were reasonable although I felt you didn't get that much fish in the order. The staff was really friendly and made sure everything was in the bag. The fish was tasty as well. The garlic bread was ok a little on the dry side but they give me extra butter so that was fine. The strawberry mint drink was quite good though. If you are in the mood for fish this is a good spot.“

“First time here and i will say they give the HEALTHIEST fillet portions I’ve seen in a looong time! BUT if you don’t order jumbo shrimp you’ll be pissed off. The regular shrimp are so tiny.

Overall everything was seasoned well. Fried to perfection and my catfish was so juicy. I didn’t care for the fries but that’s just me I’m not a fry person.

Hush puppies were good. Bread nice and soft! And the tartar sauce is definitely home made.

Don’t forget to ask for extra hot sauce (THEY WILL ONLY GIVE YOU 1) and if you hate pickles (like me) don’t forget to tell them you don’t want them.

4 stars is for the small shrimp, pickles, and the 1 piece of a piece of a PIECE of lemon they gave me lol
