“Omogari is popping here in the Japantown neighborhood and I was excited to dine here with some friends in their outdoor patio.
With a long line for Korean food and indoor/outdoor seating, be sure to use the Yelp waitlist if you can to get ahead of the wait.
They have classic Korean dishes with fairly generous portions from what I could tell. Limited veggie options (and you'll have to ask to make sure something can be fully plant-based/vegan), but I was happy to see they could make their Mushroom Sundubu with veggie stock. I ordered that spicy and it luckily also came with rice.
The sundubu was fantastic and hit every note I could want from a tofu stew. Loved the veggies, the broth was not too salty, and the accompanied banchan was great with the meal.
Service was also pretty fast considering how busy they were and they checked in on us for just the right amount of time. Thanks Omogari for a great dinner experience.“

“Absolutely love The Good Salad! Every ingredient was fresh, and everything was packed to perfection—tight and neat inside the box. You can really tell it’s made with care. The nuts, seeds, and onions were perfectly crispy and crunchy, adding amazing texture. Even after delivery, the salad was delicious. Highly recommend!“

“Very friendly and great service along with good food. We ordered both the langzhu hand pulled noodles which came with thin slices of pork. We also ordered the beef with pickled vegetables which we think has more flavor than the other dish. But both were excellent and the bowls were very large and came to our table a few minutes after we ordered. Service was exceptional with the staff asking several times if we needed anything else. The bathroom was very clean as well. We highly recommend this place.“

“Some of the best pho I’ve had anywhere. They’re pretty committed to their closing hours, so if you go, be sure to get there at least 40 minutes before closing. The kitchen closes 30 minutes before the dining area. I do wish they had later hours sometimes, but that’s just a selfish desire on my part because our family tends to do things later at night than most people. When we want pho, we just try extra hard to get there early enough like normal people during acceptable dinner hours. It’s worth it, the broth is just so good!“

“A lovely spot for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese food. The dishes are full of flavor and clearly made with care. Portions are just right, and the pricing is more than fair for the quality you get.
The staff are friendly, fast, and attentive, which adds to the overall relaxed and welcoming vibe.
The interior could use some refreshing—the chairs and overall decor feel a bit worn and dated. That said, the experience is still very positive, and the food absolutely makes up for it. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!“

“My family and I just recently went to Sourdough and had a great experience. The staff were very welcoming and very patient with our group. The restaurant itself was very clean. Tables were brand new with cool designs. The atmosphere was also very respectful and peaceful.
Food was also very exceptional for the price. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The meat was very tender and overall very good. Others in our group that are vegetarian were also very pleased with their meals. The Caprese sandwich and the ttomato bisque with the side of bread were very popular. The cookies though shouldn't be overlooked. They were very soft and delicious. If you come here you have to give the cookies a try.“

“Aburi Shime Saba: (5/5)
The aburi shime saba is the best thing on the menu. It’s lightly poached and the caramelized sugar on top adds the perfect contrast of texture and flavor. I’ve been here a few times to try the appetizers, but the MUST GET item is still this saba.
Uzumakiya Udon: (4/5)
The Uzumakiya Udon is good, the noodles are chewy, not overcooked; and the broth is flavorful. The other toppings leave something to be desired, so if you want to be satisfied, order the Oxtail instead. (Although it’s gotten quite expensive😔)“

“I got the beef spicy mix and it was really delicious! Spicy and fragrant and very well seasoned. Really nice assortment of ingredients, and everything was well cooked. The unlimited rice was a nice touch too, even tho I didn’t need it. Good price for the amount of food and I had enough leftover for lunch the next day.“

“Highly highly recommend Erik's DeliCafe in Santa Clara on Kiely Blvd. I ordered 15 sandwiches for a family gathering (socially distanced of course!) the day before and Nicho and his crew got every single one right and ready on time for me to pick up for lunch. Everyone was happy with their delicious sandwiches! I will order from them again and I encourage others to do so too, you won't be disappointed! 😀“

“Update: 09/25/24
The service was really bad. It was super slow there were only two other tables that were occupied by people dining in alone. They never made any check ins and never came to refill my water. The chicken pho lacks a ton of flavor. The pork sandwich was amazing! By far the best thing! The spring rolls are good as well. Service is 1 star and food would be 3.5.
Amazing pho! Make sure to check this place out!

“The folks here were super nice to me! I love Erik's sandwiches and always get the soup and sandwich combo. This particular time, I had some problems with my new ATM card, and it took 4 tries of back and forth with my bank to get it to work so that I could pay for my sandwich! The staff at Erik's were all very patient with me and kept my soup hot and my sandwich fresh while I got things sorted out. They never treated me like a second class customer and were always very kind and understanding. The food was, of course, fantastic!“

“It's hard to find excellent Korean food in the South Bay, so when I come across a good restaurant I always have to give praise! Sogongdong Tofu Town piles on the flavor and I never feel like I’m eating bland, Americanized Korean food. If this were LA, I might bump it down a star because the food scene there is so competitive. But many restaurants here can’t even deliver the basic flavors right, so I’m thrilled to discover this place conveniently tucked in an Hmart. The soondubu jjigae (”tofu soup”) here is stellar and as good as any that you’ll find in K-Town LA!“

“Great sweet and sour chicken. The chicken pieces are really big which could be a plus or minus depending on how you like it, but the sauce was great, chicken not overcooked, and good fried rice.
The place is tiny, but compared to other tiny Chinese takeout places, not stuffy and very clean. The hostess was very polite and I noticed that tables were bussed very quickly.
This area of SJ / Santa Clara can be really hard to find good "basic" Chinese takeout, but if you're looking for all sorts of bite-sized pieces of chicken, beef or pork in a familiar variety of sauces, this is the best option I've found within a 10 minute drive of PayPal.
Parking: You'll have to get lucky with curb parking on the Alameda or down one of the residential side-streets. All dedicated lots in the area are "X parking only", and this place has no lot of its own.
Wheelchair accessibility: No weird thresholds or floor warping, standard height tables with movable chairs. Sidewalk in acceptable condition.“

“Pho Wagon offers a solid, casual Vietnamese dining option. I ordered their most popular dish—the chicken pho—which was clean and comforting, but surprisingly mild in flavor. I even added a side of vegetable broth and still found myself reaching for the Sriracha to give it that extra kick.
The shrimp spring rolls were a highlight—fresh, light, and paired beautifully with their rich peanut sauce. I also tried the chicken fried rice, which was decent but not particularly memorable.
Overall, it’s a reliable spot if you’re in the mood for something light and simple. I’d dine here again, but it wouldn’t be my go-to for pho cravings.“

“One of my favorite Korean BBQ restaurants! Authentic Korean dishes. Great quality meats and sides. We ordered the Bar B Que pork belly and beef. The staff cooked it right at our table and it tasted so good. The Seafood Tofu soup and Seafood Pancake were delicious as well. All the Ban Chan sides were perfect. Soju and hot tea to drink.“

“I'd recommend the Chicken Gyro Bowl, which is a fairly well balanced mix of well spiced chicken and greek salad over basmati rice. While their gyros are tasty, I find them overly heavy, especially if they have the default fries mixed in.The line was pretty short vs. some of the other options at the food court. And it was ready pretty quickly. The selection of greek sodas is a nice treat, the lemon lime was refreshing.Of course this is a mall foodcourt at the end of the day. So I can't bring myself to give it five stars.“

“Free range chicken dishes three way, boiled-rotisserie-fried. We love the com ga roti rotisserie orange rice plate and the crispy fried noodle chicken. The service is quick so don’t worry about the line. Make sure you write your name on the wait list. My only one complaint is the bathrooms are not segregated so you can actually have access to wash hands when someone else is using it.“

“Rice rolls had thin rice wrappers, which were nice but they were not "smooth" in texture so I did not enjoy them as much as I could've. But the shrimp was juicy, and the donut was crispy and the sauce for the rice roll was nice.
Siumai was good but a small portion. (4 bite pieces for $6.) We got the black chicken and pork soup as it seemed healthy but did not feel like it was worth ordering again. The chicken feet were yummy but I didn't know why they cut the feet in half. We also got the daikon cake with XO sauce, it is a bit spicy but I like that they pan fried it so it is crispy.
My favorite item was the milk pudding.
We did not try any porridge. I would not mind coming back here for more rice rolls and milk pudding if we are in the area.“

“They have more soup choices than other places. We had tried mushroom soup and herb chicken soup. Both are tasty and not as salty as other places! The meat look less fatty, too!
They provide cold water and unsweetened cold red tea. The paper cups are by the checkout counter.
There are plenty of seats available in the food court and the space between seats are wider, too!“

“I recently dined at Năm Giao restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by their bánh beo. It was not only delicious but also served piping hot, with the perfect combination of toppings. The crispy pork skin and fried shallots added a delightful crunch that complemented the bánh beo exceptionally well. While the Bún Bò Huế was good, I felt it could benefit from a deeper flavor profile. However, the highlight for me was the chili oil they offer—it was delicious, with a nutty undertone and just the right spice level.I appreciated the variety of options, including a cooling herbal drink, which added a unique touch to the dining experience. The restaurant boasts a spacious layout with plenty of tables, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Năm Giao offers a delightful culinary journey with standout dishes and a comfortable ambiance.“

“It really is TRUE that when you're here you're family! Recently, a family member suggested a particular restaurant, where myself, my sister, my grandson and my grand daughter in-law, and my great grand daughter and great grandson could all catch up with each other. But, when I, instead, recommended Olive Garden, it was enthusiastically agreed to, right away.
The healthy comfort food, and the caring and anticipatory homey service, again confirmed to us that this is a good place for families.
My great grand kids' Mom had gone to get something out of the car, and their Dad had taken his 2-year old son to be changed. So, only their 5-year old daughter remained with us at our table. When our Server asked what drinks we wanted, our 5-year old pointed to two different flavor drinks on the kids menu, one by one, and ordered both of them. Our Server wisely said, with a smile, Maybe I'll wait til your Mom and Dad get back. After her Mom and Dad returned, they told us that she was actually not ordering two drinks for herself, but that she usually orders one drink for herself and one for her little brother. If our Server had not asked our 5-year old for her drink order, or meanly refused to bring her what she wanted, she might have been upset, which may have led to a potential scene. But our Server was polite, respectful, smart and friendly. In other words - no problem.
When we were finishing our meal, we were thinking about asking for doggie bags, to not waste the remaining tasty generous portions. But, we didn't need to ask, since our Server, because of apparent good training and valuable experience, asked us first, if we would like some boxes and bags. Of course, we accepted them, and when we left, we left with some tasty reminders, for later, of the good food we'd enjoyed. But, we also remembered the good time we shared with our own family, and the Olive Garden family as well.
No problems. Good times. Happy memories. Grazie and Ciao! Thanks and see you next time!“

“Ming's garden food tastes similar to what you would get in a much pricier restaurant. It is a super good value. I ordered the veggie Fried Rice / Chow Mein combo plate. I chose pork as the meat. It came with egg drop soup, and an egg roll with sweet-and-sour sauce as well. Thank goodness, the egg roll is small or it would have been too much food for me to eat. Fresh vegetables and tender pork, light and fluffy rice not overly salted -- these factors are what make this restaurant great. I love the wok-seared ingredients that have a deliciously smoky flavor. I ordered take-out and the food was neatly packaged. In addition, they provide exceptional Customer Service. Five Stars, 👍“

“Erik’s Deli in Los Gatos is consistently outstanding. The food is always fresh, delicious, and satisfying, but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Rene, in particular, goes above and beyond to make customers feel welcome. She takes the time to learn and remember names, creating a warm, personalized experience that’s rare to find these days. With so many dining options around, it’s that kind of genuine customer service that keeps me coming back. Highly recommend!“
