“First time eating here. I have almost stopped eating at fast food chains completely. But my wife was hangry and power ordered online. Not one to talk the semantics of health vs fast food, nor looking forward to couch diving for the night, I said, “fantastic idea, babe,” and then responded, “spicy beef” when she asked what i wanted.

You know the deal, when they’re hangry, you get out of the car, walk in, and get the order to go.

The place was poppin pretty good, but it was dinnertime. She had an orange chicken bowl. My spicy teriyaki beef (w/ all veggies) was actually spicy. I enjoy spicy chicken sandos wherever I can get them(real spicy chicken, not Jack or Chick Fil A) and also the Hot Ones challenge from YOUTUBE fame. I was pleasantly surprised that this had enough heat to make my nose run, not to mention a follow up date with the heat the next day, if you smell what I’m cookin.

It wasn’t cheap, but alas, fast food isn’t cheap anymore. I can say that I’m a 260lb ogre and the serving size did fill me up. Speaking of health, I should’ve probably split it into two meals. What do they say? “Gordo big and gordo home?” I should probably trademark that.

All in all, this was a bit like Panda on steroids. And most importantly, it satisfied the hungry beast raging inside my wife and I was allowed to sleep in our bed for the night.“

“I enjoyed the food, the wait was a little long, but there was some language barriers, the waitress was nice but didn't quite understand some of our questions, the hostess was very helpful and answered our questions about the selections on the menu, and made sure our order was right. “We ordered our lemon raspberry wedding cake with buttercream frosting from Parker-Lusseau Pastries, and it was everything we dreamed of — absolutely delicious and beautifully made!
From the start, working with Anne was a wonderful experience. She was extremely responsive via email and made sure all of our requests were fulfilled. The team was so accommodating and ensured our cake would be ready and perfect for our special day, which gave us such peace of mind.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good the cake tasted — light, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness.
Side note: Their almond croissants are incredible — we’re obsessed. We’ve already decided to come back on our one-year anniversary to pick up a mini version of our wedding cake and relive the magic of that day.

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“This is a unique restaurant that make you think you are in Switzerland. The decoration was very Swiss. The food was great. We ordered onion soup, raclette, ham & cheese sandwiches, a Swiss noodle (forgot the name) and chocolate fondue with fruits. Very delicious. The service was great and the ambience was impressive and serene. The price was also reasonable. An excellent dining experience.“

He was so friendly, happy, and was extremely attentive… he refilled my soda water multiple times without me having to ask. That kind of service used to be an expectation, but the industry today isn’t quite what it was. The food we ordered was delicious too! The Bar side of the restaurant has happy hour every day from 4-6pm and their small plates and pizzas were on the food list! Their cocktails were all 8 dollars and house wines 7 dollars. We ate and each had a drink for under 40 dollars which seems absurd in Carmel! Not only affordable but the food was to die for! We had the Truffle Gnocchi which was easily the best gnocchi I've ever had and the White Truffle Pie was so fresh and full of mushrooms and onions!
