“It's a fantastic Thai restaurant. Very affordable and delicious! We went several years ago and returned today, hoping it would still be just as good and it was. Beautiful pastel interior and a casual dining experience.“

“First time eating here. I have almost stopped eating at fast food chains completely. But my wife was hangry and power ordered online. Not one to talk the semantics of health vs fast food, nor looking forward to couch diving for the night, I said, “fantastic idea, babe,” and then responded, “spicy beef” when she asked what i wanted.

You know the deal, when they’re hangry, you get out of the car, walk in, and get the order to go.

The place was poppin pretty good, but it was dinnertime. She had an orange chicken bowl. My spicy teriyaki beef (w/ all veggies) was actually spicy. I enjoy spicy chicken sandos wherever I can get them(real spicy chicken, not Jack or Chick Fil A) and also the Hot Ones challenge from YOUTUBE fame. I was pleasantly surprised that this had enough heat to make my nose run, not to mention a follow up date with the heat the next day, if you smell what I’m cookin.

It wasn’t cheap, but alas, fast food isn’t cheap anymore. I can say that I’m a 260lb ogre and the serving size did fill me up. Speaking of health, I should’ve probably split it into two meals. What do they say? “Gordo big and gordo home?” I should probably trademark that.

All in all, this was a bit like Panda on steroids. And most importantly, it satisfied the hungry beast raging inside my wife and I was allowed to sleep in our bed for the night.“

“On the outside it doesn’t look like much. But once inside you are transported to a different place. Murals of the great wall, scenery of chinese myth and legend from the ceiling and the smells of great Chinese food. My wife is Korean and she loves that they cook foods that also cater to their tastes.
I have tried many many dishes here and I will say i have never been disappointed. Go get some delicious food. You’ll be happy!
I forgot to mention that I was buying takeout for 3 persons. The owners are very generous with the portions and are friends of the community of Marina.“

“We came to this bakery because I read about their pastries. Particularly, about their almond croissants, and how incredible they were.

If you're driving through, do make sure you stop to try both the almond and the ham and cheese croissant. They are truly spectacular. Something special and hard to find.

I was disappointed to see how snobby? Annoyed? everyone behind the counter was. But I guess when your food is so good, that's a luxury you can afford.“

“The Jäger Schnitzel was perfect! The mushroom gravy was just right, reminiscent of Bavaria, and the cutlet was tender and juicy. Great price for a .5 liter of good Köning Pilsner. Service was outstanding. I’d say this place is a must-visit if you want a fantastic meal! Everything was served at the perfect temperature, so extra points.“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“Don’t let the outside fool you… it’s a charming little Italian feel inside with the sweetest hospitality (young woman with butterfly tattoo/hat was extremely caring about her job and the customers).we were going to order “to go” but it was so quaint inside we decided to stay. The best part was the food! The calzone was the perfect texture of cooked dough, thick cheese, perfect sauce and overall just melted in my mouth with goodness! Also got a fresh salad and a barbecue chicken flatbread which were just as rave worthy! It was nice to step away from the busy Cannery Row vibe to enjoy a great meal experience. He was so friendly, happy, and was extremely attentive… he refilled my soda water multiple times without me having to ask. My complaint that I did not share with the staff is that while we were eating, even though the restaurant was fairly empty, they seated a group of 4 just a table away from us. “We came in on a saturday afternoon and were able to find a table right away! The Bar side of the restaurant has happy hour every day from 4-6pm and their small plates and pizzas were on the food list! Their cocktails were all 8 dollars and house wines 7 dollars. We ate and each had a drink for under 40 dollars which seems absurd in Carmel! Not only affordable but the food was to die for! We had the Truffle Gnocchi which was easily the best gnocchi I've ever had and the White Truffle Pie was so fresh and full of mushrooms and onions! Dipping the crust in the leftover gnocchi sauce put it over the edge! Isabel was our server and she was kind and quick with everything! It was a wonderful little stop in Carmel, just off Ocean Ave!“

“So much choice here, and I love that a full third of the menu is vegetarian or vegan, it makes picking something genuinely fun. The sandwich options are absolutely delicious. I had the ‘Going Home for Thanksgiving’ and it was so tasty, packed with flavour and really satisfying. My husband went for the 'Go Sharks', and we both had ours on sourdough, which was perfect.

The dirty sauce is incredible, one of those things you instantly want more of. And the apple and caramel lollies at the end were such a lovely touch.

“Highly recommend this place. We started out with the Tapas (calamari and the burrata) which was so good! Then we had the paella. It takes 30min to prepare which they told us about and it was disclosed on the menu too which I appreciated. This paella was literally the best paella I ever had EVER. ! Absolutely delicious!!!!! Shareable too! I had the Spanish Margarita for my cocktail and that was delicious too. Left completely stuffed. Definitely worth it.“
