“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Above all, they treated us like family. We will absolutely be having more family dinners here. If you are reading reviews to see where you should go to eat this is THE place to go. P.S. You must try the chicken wings!“
“Best bar in the 831. Always an awesome time there. The staff is amazing. The owner is awesome and really cares about keeping his patrons safe and comfortable. The bouncers are respectful and alert. There is a jukebox with all the music you could think up. There are two pool tables, a dart board and plenty of TVs to watch your games.
12/10 recommend The Otter's Den!“

“This is the first microbrewery I can remember visiting. It’s been a staple of the central coast since August 2000. They avoid all the latest trends, instead focusing on authentic English-style ales, hence the name.
Opened by Peter, Rosemary and Karen Blackwell, English Ales brewing focused on emphasizing malt over heavy hopping.
The venue is kid-friendly, open daily from 12 PM, and features a strong community vibe with a Mug Club boasting over 1,400 members, where regulars have personalized mugs hanging from the ceiling.
English Ales Brewery produces eight core beers and four rotating seasonals, which have become staples in bars all across the Central Coast. These include: 1066 Pale Ale, Fat Lip Amber Ale, Big Sur Golden, Monk’s Brown Ale(a personal favorite), Pendragon Strong Ale, and Dragon Slayer IPA.
They do offer a flight of 11 mini pints for sampling their range, from light ales to porters.
English Ales truly is a “Cheers-like” bar where staff and regulars create a welcoming, homey environment. Despite its unassuming location in a business park, the interior features a cozy bar, comfy chairs, and a dartboard, with Mug Club mugs adding to the neighborhood feel.
They have a full kitchen offering food like Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, onion rings, and Italian wedding soup. s feel like locals.
In April 2025, the Blackwell family retired and sold English Ales to Mark Francis who will carry on the English Ales tradition.
English Ales has charm, personality, and a welcoming atmosphere. Parking is limited. They keep their restrooms clean.“

“I have had various smoothies, and acai bowl, and a small combo of chicken wings with potato wedges. They all were really good. The combo came with some delicious homemade ranch on the side. It had the texture of cream cheese and was not processed like regular ranch. It was so good and complented the lemon pepper on the wings + the salt on the potatoes. Best lemon pepper seasoning I have ever had! The acai bowl was also really good, it powered me up for the gym. If you like dates, the smoothies are for you. They are a little runny, but tasty and healthy.“

“We had a two yo with us so we sat on the patio for the oyster and drinks offering. It was nice to sit outside but a little chilly so they offered blankets, which made it cozy. We had some wine, oysters, clam chowder and garlic fries. This menu was enjoyed by all and the bill was a little over $100. The experience was fun and the service good. Around 9 pm we called in a pick up for dessert and the only thing offered was a lemon cake and gelato. The cake was so so but the gelato was good. However my grandbaby and I had to wait awhile for the pickup order to be ready. It wasn't the best service.“
