“The Korner Store is a private event space now. I sent an inquiry in for a Saturday night booking, and received prompt response with a quote and some options. There's a minimum food and drink amount. I coordinated a walk through of the space and made a deposit!

The hosts and owners (Ina and Nick) are incredibly helpful throughout the booking and night of the event. My ~40 guests enjoyed the Korean food and full bar. We had a fantastic time in the private space. The venue has tv screens, music inputs, DJ and dance area, karaoke, and an optional photobooth. I highly recommend considering The Korner Store for your next event.“

Surprisingly, many big names have played at this tiny beach venue, like The Mummies & Supersuckers! This place continues to create new memories for me each time!“

“Love The Halfway Club!! Great food and drinks and super friendly staff here. It’s also extremely dog friendly! There’s an outdoor patio that’s great for dogs.

The food is truly delicious. I was a big fan of their new menu with the miso maple brussel sprouts. Their chicken sando and grilled cheese are also fantastic. They have excellent drinks as well. Staff here are super nice and welcoming. Love that the excelsior has this place.“

The decor is “nautical decay,” the IPA tastes faintly of salt and regret, and every surface looks like it survived both a hurricane and a beach boys metal tribute band.

There’s a surfboard on the ceiling signed by someone who might be famous, but no one’s sure.

“My family and I decided to drop by because my mom had come here with a friend before. Upon entrance, I was sort of confused until we were led into an enormous seating area with decorated walls. We were sat down and the server, Natalie, met us with instant kindness. The menu consisted of a lot of cool dishes, but we decided on a simple meat-glass noodle combination thing that was put over one of those black circles that heats it up. After the meat was cooked, I tried some with the rice tthat was given to accompany it and everything tasted soooo good! I would HIGHLY recommend this place.“

“We had an incredible experience at wunderbar last night. Firstly, we didn’t have a reservation and despite being fully booked they accommodated us which was incredibly kind!

Next, enough good things can’t be said about this hidden whimsical speakeasy.. magical vibes, delicious concoctions and a cozy ambience, very creative menu both design, concept and combinations..

A cool thing about their menu is that they have a light/dark magic theme.. the light magic is the classic cocktail for example an Old fashion, the dark magic is Wunderbar’s take on the classic cocktail in this case it was Poison apple this month.. fabulous idea.. because sometime you just want your regular with a twist! They also have a nice selection of White magic Non alcoholic cocktails..

They were originally going to fit us in for just 20 mins but we ended up staying over an hour and had 4 cocktails. 1 was a special cocktail for the night which was a pandan flavored whiskey.. a tiki drink, the dreamcatcher and the poison apple.. highly recommend all four..

“My family and I were searching for a great pizza spot near San Carlos and stumbled upon Impasto through Google Maps. I managed to snag a reservation just an hour beforehand, and I’m so glad I did because there were only two slots left. Shortly after we arrived, the place packed out—in the best way possible.

The interior is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I couldn't stop admiring the color palette and how well the entire design came together. Even the small details, like the flower vases on the tables, were incredibly thoughtful.

Our server, Jackson, was fantastic. He gave us great recommendations and, refreshingly, didn't make us feel uncomfortable when we decided to skip drinks that night—something that happens way too often at other places.

Every single thing we ordered was incredible, from the pizza and the roasted beet salad to the veal cannelloni special and tiramisu.

It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. “Stopped in to Newell's for a pre dinner drink. We just kind of stumbled on this place. How does one know where to get a good cocktail when you're an out of towner!?
Well let me tell you about Newell's.. The bartender was fabulous! She wasn't even sure what a certain drink was but she more than nailed it! It was right on! My Cadillac margarita was potent! I managed to wobble out of there to my next destination.. but barely! They do not serve food but our sweet bartender brought popcorn in order to save me embarrassment! It was a fun experience and I think I may have to return!“

“Super cute rooftop. Pizza one is one of the best pizza I've ever ate. The rooftop smash cocktail is now my favorite drink. I took a picture of the ingredients and made it at home ‍ that's how good it was. Definitely coming back. The customer service was outstanding. “This place is located in Burlingame downtown. It's a pretty big place and I loved the decor. Not very intimidating but has a good vibe. We made reservations but don't think it was needed. We ordered drinks - aperol spritz and a german beer. Both were very good. We ordered the korean sliders, a butterbean side dish with toasted bread and the risotto as the main. The butterbean side was nothing special but really enjoyed the sliders and risotto. (Just a note about the sliders, although they are marked as spicy I didn't them to be the case). Although the risotto was a main, the portion size was small. We also had the chocolate and vanilla soft serve and really loved it. I think that was the best item of the day. The restaurant did treat as with that as we were celebrating a special occasion.“

“We had dinner here after work event. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but it was early. The food was fantastic, the presentation was excellent, and the employees were very kind. I would definitely go here again, I had the ceviche it was superior. I also had a mango drink which was delicious. Parking can be a little tricky but we lucked out and pulled in right as somebody pulled out and were able to park right in front of the restaurant.“

The food was great. The wings came out hot, fresh, and had a fantastic kick to them—definitely hit the spot. It was a nice, civilized way to spend an hour before boarding.

The only reason I’m not giving a perfect score is the service. Our server was incredibly nice, but she seemed to have about ten things on her mind at once. She kept coming back to our table before we were ready, practically hovering while we tried to decide on the wine, and seemed eager to rush us through the process. It wasn't rude, just very distracted. A little patience goes a long way, and I wish we hadn't felt so hurried. Great food, just hope the service is a bit more relaxed next time.“

“The hangar is a fairly new food Hall and is quite beautiful inside. Many who work nearby come here for lunch. The options include coffee, Mexican food, breakfast and burgers as well as a salad and sandwich shop. With soaring ceilings and subtle lighting, the atmosphere is very pleasant. I had had a carne asada burrito that was delicious. We also had guacamole and chips and the guacamole was very good. Overall everything smells delicious inside it should be a great spot to grab a relaxing lunch. There are a few booths as well as tables for four in the front section. There is a larger section in the rear of the building with lots of tables.“

We made a reservation for 8, but didn't need to, even though it was a Friday night.
I used to come often, but took a break, but wanted to give it another try and it did not disappoint.
We had 2 burgers, a blt, the shrimp scampi, 1 rib eye, and 2 fish n chips. Everything tastes as it should. Appetizer platter with brussel sprouts wings and potato skins.
Jesus read our minds on several occasions.
I'll have to put this back in my rotation. As far as hotel restaurants go, this is one is a hidden gem.
Reluctant to share my opinion bc I want to keep it to myself, but doing it for Jesus, since he was such a delight tonight.

I will say, it was a little pricey. $480 for a party of 8, with 1 kids meal. But a really nice experience overall.“
