“We visited idly express about 3 times in our short one week trip to the Bay Area. The food was that good!! Pongal, idli, vada combo was delicious. Chutney was super fresh and even with Togo type meals, sambar was hot and yummy. For lunch, I tried their bisibele bath and curd rice combo, and was surprised by how tasty the bisibele bath was! Authentic like how you get in a restaurant in Bangalore.. gulab jamun was the perfect finish to this meal, it was served hot and very tasty. The highlight however was their filter coffee truly one of the best I’ve had here in the US. They offer it in light, medium, or strong. Highly recommend the coffee if you’re here! Parking was very easy to find especially at 8.30 am on weekdays.“

“I really missed Outback as it’ has closed down in Singapore. Found this outlet while shopping in the Great Malls. Just to have the special bread and butter was good enough for me. The experience was nostalgic and the bread and butter were perfect. Had a light meal of chowder, burger and Mac and cheese. All food was ok but underwhelming except for the bread and butter, which was exceptional.“

“Pho & Bun is hands down one of the best spots for Vietnamese comfort food in San Jose. I've been here a few times now, and it never disappoints. The pho broth is rich and aromatic you can tell it's been simmered for hours. I usually go for the rare steak and brisket combo, and it's always served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor.

Their bun dishes are also a standout! The grilled pork is tender and perfectly seasoned, and the veggies are crisp and fresh. Portions are generous, and everything is plated beautifully.

The service is consistently friendly and quick, and the space is clean and welcoming great for both solo meals or a casual lunch with friends. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and they never skimp on ingredients.

Definitely my go-to spot for a hearty bowl of pho. Highly recommend if you're craving something warm and delicious in the South Bay!“

“I absolutely love this Yunnan restaurant!
It’s a total gem, especially for someone like me who loves bold and flavorful dishes. I saw they had some new items on the menu recently, so of course I had to come try them right away!

The food was just as amazing as always — full of aroma, depth, and that unique Yunnan spice kick. The Guizhou Stinky Shrimp Sour Stir-Fried Beef was incredibly flavorful — tangy, spicy, and packed with umami. It’s the kind of dish that keeps you reaching for another bite even when your mouth is on fire

And the Dai-Style Beef Offal Bone Broth Mushroom Hotpot was pure comfort in a pot. The broth was rich and milky, full of mushroom and beef flavor, and the combination of textures from the offal, beef, and wild mushrooms was just perfect.

Every visit here reminds me why this place is one of my absolute favorites. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Yunnan and Guizhou flavors — intense, aromatic, and unforgettable!“

Their menu is varied enough to have a great selection, but not so much that it's overwhelming. The minute you enter their diner, you're greeted with a warm Good Morning or Good Afternoon! The staff is very attentive and friendly; we felt like members of the family from our first visit! The food is priced fairly, which is hard to say about almost any other restaurant I've been in lately, and, it is delicious! There you have it...Welcoming, friendly staff, great menu selection, delicious food, priced fairly. A recipe for success, obviously since they've been there for over 20 years! Try it, you will not be disappointed!“

“I was born and raised in Oaxaca City and decided to give this place a try. I will happily say that they absolutely exceeded my expectations in terms of their flavors, service, and atmosphere.

This food truck is located within the parking lot of a local gas station at E Calaveras Blvd & S Park Victoria Dr. There was enough parking at the time I drove in. The guy who took my order greeted me in Spanish with a smile and acted very genuinely and cordially.

I ordered 2 lengua tacos. The portions were appropriate, and the meat was perfectly cooked and tasted both juicy and very, very, authentic. The onions and cilantro had been freshly diced and made me smile when I squeezed lime juice on both tacos. They gave me two small containers with their red and green salsas. Yes, their salsas immediately activated long-stored memories in my taste buds. I can say that it flew me back to Oaxaca. My whole mouth watered at the first bite, so to extend the feast in my mouth and soul, I made 4 tacos with the double tortillas.
I will be coming back with friends and family and I think you should too.“

This place is almost hidden in plain sight, tucked right behind the McDonald’s everyone in Milpitas knows. It’s one of those true “if you know, you know” spots that locals swear by.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a while now, and the reason we keep coming back is simple: quality. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

Special Combo #35 – Galbi & Seafood Tofu Soup (Medium Spicy)
The portions are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re perfect for two people, just enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed.
The Galbi is beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection with that irresistible sweet and savory balance and a hint of char.
The Seafood Tofu Soup is our favorite, clean, rich, and full of depth. It’s easily one of the best versions around.

I also got their naemmyeon (sorry if I spelled it wrong). It was tasty and cold, but the portion is huge! Hard for 1 person to finish. Their banchan (kimchis) were lacking. They don't give much and they didn't taste very good. Kind of like if you made kimchi from home not realizing it'll take a couple days to get the proper fermented taste. Staff was attentive and handled the long lines and crowded restaurant well. However, THERE IS NO AC! PLACE WAS SO HOT!!! Be ready to sweat just from heat. I like the music choice though. Had some Big Bang playing and some other pre-BTS popular Kpop. Would I go again? Probably not. You save money making kalbi jjim at home. But it's a nice little experience.“

Even tho it was busy, they had several people helping and checking on the tables. I made a special order. The Bacon Avocado Eggs Benedict but with country gravy instead of holendaise sauce!!! Both soup was rich and thick and the fried black garlic was fragrant. The pork slices were thick and soft. Have to say the ramen was tasty and satisfying, authentic to Japan. “😕Not their best showing. Waitress served me chili with onions and did not give me option to say no. She tried to over-charge me for the corn muffin that comes with the chili. Then pretty much told me I had to pay now as she was going on break, even though I was still finishing my tea. When I asked if the onions were standard or optional, the waitress said they were standard, the manager said they are by request. But how can I know they'll add onions if no one tells me. I literally had to point to the menu to show that it does not say cheese and onions can be added.“

“this is one the best sushi spots in the south bay area! huge selection of sushi and specialty rolls, nigiris, special sashimi combinations. we ordered the 10 pc sashimi special and enjoyed it so much — it was thickest cuts of sashimi we’ve ever had! we also ordered omakase box (8pc) which came with wagyu, otoro, uni, salmon belly and other selections. the portions were so generous and the fish was extremely fresh!“

“This has been our family’s favorite noodle place and we try to go at least a couple times monthly, so this review is definitely long overdue . Our kids love the chow mein, and we usually get the beef noodle soup and the tripe spicy noodles. Very Spicy but so good! They are usually busy but the tables move fast as service is quick and it doesn’t take long for the food to come out.“
