“The green beans and kung pao chicken were the favorites. The xiao long bao dough was a little thick for our liking and didn’t hold together well so we didn’t get much of the broth sadly. Great rice noodles as well! Would come back just for the green beans, kung pao chicken, and rice noodles. Quick service and very reasonably priced for the amount we got!“

“Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. In all, don’t expect anything extraordinary, but great value and certainly above peers.“

“Surprised by the best kung pao shrimp I’ve had in my life. Fresh julienned ginger, scallion, garlic; a brown sauce that showed care and layered attention - not some slapped together mass processed food. The young lady serving was kind, precise, and sat to clean green beans in any down time. Reminded me of my family in India, the women’s hands busy all day with preparation,
with the food from the earth.“

“I've been dining at Vege Valley Restaurant for many years, and it was here that I first discovered how incredibly delicious vegetarian dishes can be.
Now, as a dedicated vegetarian, I can confidently say that Vege Valley remains the best vegetarian restaurant in the California. The flavors are consistently amazing, the variety is impressive, and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
Whether you're a long-time vegetarian or just curious about plant-based cuisine, Vege Valley is a must-visit!“

“Went here for take out lunch boxes, food is good considering the price, and there’s a verity of items to pick from. It’s like a mini version of KangKang XiaoMei that was closed a while back. Only thing is that the server lady is usually at the back preparing/cooking, so you might not be attended to right away, sometimes might need to wait a little.“

“Good Alley is a welcome addition to the area for authentic dumplings! If you're craving traditional Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), this place is an excellent choice. As someone with high standards for soup dumplings, my all-time favorites are Ma Ma Lu and Thumbling in West Covina. I’d say the soup dumplings here are slightly better than Thumbling's, with fresh, high quality ingredients and a rich, flavorful broth. In addition to the soup dumplings, the Beef Rolls and Sichuan Dan Dan noodles are fantastic and worth trying.
I’m deducting one star for the price-to-portion ratio. The portions are small, and the prices are on the higher side, so you may feel like the value isn't quite there. However, the pricing is still more reasonable than Ding Tai Fung, so it balances out a bit.
Quick tips: This place gets packed during lunch and dinner hours. Use the tablet at the entrance to sign up for a table. Be prepared for a potentially long wait.
You can scan a QR code on your table to start ordering on your phone, but payments can't be made directly via the QR code. To finalize your bill, you'll need to review it on the tablet and confirm the total with tips included. When the server brings the tablet for you to pay, ensure you don’t tip twice. Always double-check the final receipt to avoid accidental overpayment.“

“Nem Nướng Khánh Hoà is widely praised for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine and warm atmosphere. The restaurant’s specialty is nem nuong cuon, a dish of grilled pork meatballs wrapped in rice paper and served with fresh herbs and vegetables. “This place is nice and spacious, service was good. The Pho has good flavor. The wonton noodle soup was okay, but not sure what was in the wonton. ? …not a fan. Watch out for the tip calculations at the bottom of your receipt , it is done after tax is added on, which is wrong, should be calculated BEFORE TAX is added. Do your own calculation. Park in the parking structure in the back.“

We were looking for a local Japanese place to eat and we finally found one minutes away from us. Can't wait to go back!“

“Delicioussss food made to order by one person!
This is a tiny little hidden gem with amazing empanadas de camaron! (You really cannot leave without trying them.) We shared the langostinos and they were also suuuuper flavorful but you have to watch out for the spice it packs; I really appreciate that they give you the option between mild, medium, and very spicy. The only items I wasn't crazy about were the tostadas de camaron (we got the raw options as well as the cooked); they weren't bad by any means they just do not compare to the other first two dishes we tried. The chips & salsa are a nice tasty bonus.
Darla was our server and she was lovely; she answered allll of the questions we had and gave us a ton of information and recommendations. This is when she told us that her grandma is the one that cooks everything herself.
This is a great spot to catch up or grab a quick bite because it's so small. Last comment, they sell beer and an assortment of fun drinks to accompany your meal.“

“Me and the husband went here for the first time. We chose the premium as we didn't like any of the meats or broths in the prime option. I ordered the sukiyaki broth and the native chongquin Mala. The Mala was very spicy as soon as I got it. I removed all the chilies, and it was still spicy but delicious. I started mixing both broths to balance spiciness, and it was delicious. They have a self-serve buffet with many options, and the meats are ordered at the table. My favotire was the pork belly, shrimp and the fish filet. My mouth is watering just thinking about it ?. Their service was great, for sure we're going again this weekend ?“

“This place has good Korean food. It's a good place to bring your family or friends. Your mother or grandmother will not complain about the food. They give large portions and the side dishes are really good. Services quick and very friendly. Not many people seem to know about this place which is kind of nice because you don't have to wait in line to get a table. There's plenty of parking in the back. Definitely I will come here again especially with my mom.“

“Their Tan Tan Men Ramen are the best! I love how I have the opportunity to customize our ground meat choices (I.e. ground pork or ground chicken). Topped with nori, baby bok choy, bean sprouts, hard-boiled egg, and ground meat, the ramen have the perfect flavor. Their chicken karaage were the best too!“

“It was our first time back to this place since the change of new ownership. We used to come a lot when it was under Cortez ownership. Needless to say, we wanted to go somewhere local without waiting much so we decided to come back and try this place.
It was empty when we came in on a Sunday afternoon. The server was very welcoming, courteous and attentive. It was about 92 outside and inside it was nice and fresh, cool but not ice cold. There was plenty of parking ( they have a small parking lot and plenty of street parking).
We both ordered the chilaquiles, one Red and Green plate. Came with refried beans and potatoes. The portions were relatively decent sized; not too big and not too small.
They gave us homemade chips with some homemade green salsa, fidelio soup which were all good but the salsa in my opinion phenomenal. So the free entries were good.
The chips were homemade and not too hard and not saggy, not full of sodium either. The sauces and salsa are all homemade and delicious. The red and green chilaquiles salsas that this place uses were both handmade and great. The beans were delicious, the potatoes were rather hard though and in a very small portion. We enjoyed the food, definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. THEY DON’T SELL ALCOHOL……..
The prices were relatively reasonably priced. If ur local, and don’t want to go broke or wait for a ridiculous waitlist then I’d definitely recommend coming.“

“This is the best rice noodle I have eaten in the United States. The ones in the Bay Area are not as delicious as this one. The crispy skin is super fragrant. The rice noodles are extremely soft but not chewy. The other noodles are either hard or broken. I will go there again before returning to the Bay Area. once“

“For breakfast, you can choose one porridge + two kinds of food, plus a drink. There are many choices of food combinations, the portions are sufficient, and the taste is good. Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks they provide is really poor. This can be greatly improved. space. In addition, the store is clean and tidy, and the service is excellent, which is worthy of appreciation.“

“This Vietnamese restaurant might not have the most modern interior or be in the trendiest plaza, but the food and service make up for it. The staff is always friendly, and the dishes are consistently good.
One thing I really appreciate is how vegan and vegetarian-friendly the menu is. There’s a great selection of options for different diets. I tried the bánh canh and bî cúôn and they were flavorful. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or into traditional dishes, they’ve got you covered.
If you’re after solid, no-frills Vietnamese food, this place is worth checking out.“

“LOVEDDDD the red chili oil wontons! LOVED. I always try this dish where restaurants serve it in hopes of finding the ONE style I like - here it’s very close to the Din Tai Fung style with less sugar and a better price. They also use a good handmade wonton with delicious filling. A lot of places mess up on their use of wontons and sauce.
LOVED the lamb noodle soup!! I generally love lamb across the board, and they do it really well here - clear broth style, hand made noodles, no gamey taste/smell (so my mom says as she can be more sensitive to it). Greaaat price.“

“Good Korean food but a little pricier than other Korean restaurants. We shared three plates. We started with the mushroom tofu mild, this dish was my favorite. My daughter loved the second dish- the bibimbap, it was also really good. The third dish was the spicy pork. I thought all three dishes were delicious.
The service was ok, the staff could have been a little more attentive.
I would come for the convenience in location and the delicious food.“

“The meat pies are to die for – cooked to order, with sizzling hot soup inside, and a variety of meats and vegetables to choose from. Everything else, like the dumplings, is good but not as exceptional as the meat pies (and can be more commonly found elsewhere).
The staff are friendly and efficient.
The location is simple: a counter for ordering and tables to sit at.
There is a parking lot, but it can get packed during lunchtime.
My personal favorites are the lamb with green onions or cilantro. When my friends and I go, we usually get an assortment of lamb, pork, and beef meat pies, which you can’t go wrong with.
Parking: There is a parking lot, but it can get packed during lunchtime.“

“Authentic Chaozhou noodles: rice noodles and egg noodles. Two main different ingredients and completely different textures.
1. Egg noodle:
chewy, tastes like a beautiful independent woman’s workday morning: refreshing and high energy.
2. Thick rice noodle:
Rich rice flavor that southerners grow up with. A flavor that running in their blood since they were born. Tastes like home and mommy.
The meat they put on my wonton noodle soup omg it’s sooooo good so flavorful so perfectly tender and chewy. I don’t know what it is maybe cha Shao?
3. Service & Atmosphere:
- You not here for birthday party so.
- If you speaking local dialect you will be treated like homie is really not because they are racism to anyone else is just because aunties work here only speak dialect and some English. So English should be fine flenz. (another way telling you how niche and authentic this place is)
Chaozhou food culture:
Chaozhou noodles focus on light, natural flavors. Dishes like Chaozhou vermicelli and egg noodle have a unique texture and are usually paired with fresh ingredients. The broth is often a mild bone or seafood-based soup.
I eat half of it with some white pepper, to just taste the broth the slight sweet flavor (without any of those diabetic sugar in those commonly seen Americanized Asian soup. my Asian taste buds are really not made for American’s sweet-everything-food industry okay? I hate it. Let’s be honest if one day an Asian immigrants like me become the president of United States the first law I’ll sign is put those shameless capitalist who kept adding sugar in everything in to jail.
So many things literally shouldn’t be sweet by adding sugar!!!“

“The outside of the restaurant looks kinda janky, but man, this restaurant is amazing. The food, in addition to being incredibly cheap, is also so so delicious and has very large portions to boot. “The food was great. Came here for a weekday for lunch. They are not busy at all. They mainly sell claypot rice with 2 choices of meats. There is also an option to choose daily soup or drinks with cheaper prices that came with meals. I think soup around $5 plus and drink $3 plus. After finish, we get to try their Portuguese tarts, which are quite good. Overall, this restaurant is 1 woman show. She did the cashier, cooking and serving to you. I'm not sure about washing dishes. The only things that need improvements are their bowls, have some stains and no paper napkin on tables. Other than that, their dishes are quite good.“
