“From the super nice lady that took my order over the phone, to the friendly person at the register, I was impressed by the amazing service.

The food was tasty and fresh- especially all the veggies in our curry and garlic chicken - big pieces of fresh broccoli, carrot, and cabbage. The yellow curry was my favorite. I think I will ask for extra garlic on the garlic chicken next time- I love a lot of garlic.

“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!“

“We love Hangetsu for our family sushi dinners! The sushi is excellent, and my kids adore Chef Charles who always whips up something special for them. The ambience is lovely for date nights as well!“

“This taqueria is famous for its burrito, and even has some old Michelin stars—deserved by the food but the service was far from ideal. I waited for 45 MINUTES for a simple burrito, which was big and awesome, but way more than what the counter employee had told me it would take. It’s worth going if it’s not a weekend day, but the service gotta improve a lot on their timing to be a regular spot which I would consider going often.“

The owner John is super friendly and hospitable as well as Yakup who regularly works there too. They also make homemade Turkish Delight that’s the best we’ve had. “After spending some time at half moon Bay Area, we were discussing which ice cream place we would go, so we decided to try a new place and l started to look on Yelp while on the road. We found this fantastic place, we loved the welcoming and the good energy. The place was so clean and the staff were friendly. I believe was the owner who took our order, he was so nice to us that we ended up talking about soccer, it felt so much like home. Flavors were amazing, we could taste the fruit in each ice cream, not so sweet, just perfect for our palate. I’m sure we will come back.“

“Gillian & Gina run a beautiful business. My favorite thing to do is to make a reservation and bring friends to get the traditional Afternoon Tea Service. They also offer a more casual walk-up menu. This menu includes assorted Tea Sandwiches, Scones served with Clotted Cream and Preserves, Crumpets served with Meyer Lemon Curd, Assorted Sweets and a large variety of Loose-Leaf Teas. Everything is delicious. Also this past year they have been generously hosting Pop Ups for local makers. They also have lots of treasures for sale. Lovey's is a wonderful place.“

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. “This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! To Kai and the incredible staff, you are truly THE BEST.“

“We travelled from Maryland to experience San Francisco, found this local restaurant within walking distance of our hotel, and decided to give it a try. It was well worth it! The staff was accommodating, attentive and very friendly. The food was exceptional! If you haven’t tried Mediterranean cuisine or love it, this is the place for you!“

“I love this spot! My sister used to work here while I was growing up as well as a few friends while I was in my teens. It has always been a peaceful place to draw, read, catch up with a friend, and sip coffee with a snack. They have changed ownership a number of times and always retained good quality! From time to time a man will come in and play piano on the out of tune wooden one. Mostly 60s-early 80s music, he knows all the lyrics too! The landscape artwork by Pam Anderberg is really phenomenal and matches the coastal energy of the cafe. Couldn’t speak higher of a cafe in Pacifica!
The line can be a bit overwhelming on weekends if there is an event. When there was a running event I think it took 20 minutes to get a coffee and muffin.

Reducing a star because of a female barista here that gave terrible service. I asked if I could order two separate single shot espressos, instead of a double shot to which she responded “take your scam somewhere else this is a small business etc.” and generally took a harsh tone. I still ordered and just got a double shot. When I gave her cash for this, she tossed the change back across the counter from my purchase which slid onto the floor. This interaction has stuck with me as I’ve never had a problem visiting this cafe before. Anytime I see this barista behind the counter I decide I’ll just have coffee at home instead.“

Great for lunch/dinner (Turkey club is my fave) but the breakfast is where they really shine. Love the popeye scramble with several cups of grat coffee. Very old school local vibes.
