“I have worked around the corner from Bench for years. I only recently got into coffee and so I've tried pretty much ever coffee shop in the near vicinity and this is by far the best latte in the area. Don't forget there is an upstairs seating area with a table and chairs.

The only thing that I would prefer is to have a couple comfortable chairs upstairs. If I could sit in a cushy chair I'd be so happy! But it's comfortable enough to be my go to spot now!“

“The absolute best food by far. Four of us out walking around Shattuck looking for a place to eat on a Saturday when we happened by Cafe Tibet (the jazz band brought us down this street). This is a full vegan restaurant with the absolute best food I have tasted in a long time! Rich and full of flavor and you can be served either family style or order individually, this cafe will do it any way you like. I highly recommend Cafe Tibet to anyone, vegan or not, for food that is delicious and rich in flavors. And definitely try the desserts. So good!“

“I ordered nearly 300 mochi donuts from Third Culture for an event I was having, and they were FANTASTIC! We got a bunch of almost every flavor they offer, and they were all so good - our guests were raving about them and kept asking where we got them from. “If you're a breakfast burrito fan, Southie serves one of the best I've ever had—anywhere. I've eaten great burritos across the Bay and in L.A., and this one easily ranks at the top.

It's perfectly constructed: ripe avocado, fluffy scrambled eggs, cheese, chorizo, and an onion-pasilla pepper relish, all wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. The flavors are bold and balanced, and it’s finished with a smoky chipotle aioli that adds just the right amount of kick.

One of the things I love most is that it doesn’t include potatoes—just pure flavor, no filler. I keep coming back for this burrito, and it never misses.

The owners are super accommodating, friendly, and went out of there way to make us comfortable. A homely vibe and plenty of seating options make this a cozy and cute pizzeria :)“

“Always wanted to go to Lever. I work right near here, and I came here on New Year’s Eve.

It is a very cute coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be difficult as it is small and tight, but there is parking in the back.

The coffee was great here. Their lavender ice latte was amazing. I believe they are known for their syrups, and I also got to try their orange rosemary syrup. It was unique, but I think the safe bet is to go with the lavender syrup.

It can get very packed here, and they seem to have a smaller staff. Things could move slow, but be patient as it is worth the wait.

Then we had the delicious bagel, later we had the yummy vanilla strawberry birthday cake. But the next day we popped the buttermilk biscuits into the oven to warm and WOW... BEST BISCUITS EVER! EVER! We still have a baguette and sandwich rolls waiting, but THANK YOU for making a safe and absolutely delicious place for my celiac daughter to enjoy. ( and me too)“

Seating is inside the oakland food hall - it’s not a lively vibe and also the food hall is kind of in a weird sketchy post industrial area. I really recommend a quick pick up.“
