“Great choices of food, tasty Chinese bbq with reasonable prices. Almost the same taste as in China. I always come to this place whenever I want a little treat at night. Recommend if you like Chinese bbq! Probably one of the best in the Bay Area.“

“Cute little BBQ place in Mountain View, close to the 101 freeway. The brisket was moist and flavorful, and the Mac and cheese and bread were both delicious. However, the tri-tip was over cooked and not seasoned well. The parking lot is small and undergoing some construction, so limited parking spots.“

“I ordered food for a work luncheon holiday party. I spoke directly with the owner, Tim, and he was very kind and was able to accommodate us at short notice. I ordered about $1500 worth of food but was a little nervous since we had never eaten South Smokin before. Also, I had a couple of last minute changes and it was NO PROBLEM for them.
My nervousness was not needed because everything was wonderful! Tim delivered the food himself, on time, and the food was hot and absolutely delicious! Everyone was happy with it, and there was PLENTY! We had a lot of leftovers for everyone to take home a plate or two.
For reference, we ordered tri-tip (a tiny bit overcooked, but still delicious) chicken (great), ribs (PERFECT!!), mac and cheese, hot potato salad, lumpia, beans, cornbread, and probably a couple of other things I'm forgetting, but everything was yummy.

“I could not be more stoked about a restaurant than this one. This place has the best tandoori meats and today I got to try a pani puri too and man!!! did my taste buds transport to New Delhi days or what!!! I ordered a combo plate with lamb chops and lamb sheesh kabob. Perhaps the most tender and meatiest lamb chops ever and amazing value for money. The owner himself is vegetarian, yet seems to have perfected meat and veg tandoor dishes. this place is Magic!“

“It was kinda slow as I was there a little past their rush but a great time to get good service. Sadly they close way way way too early for me which was quite disappointing as I personally feel there's so much more potential for late night revenue if they stayed open even after closing the kitchen. I basically had 3 different people serving me and would go back for any one of them. They were all super nice and attentive. Food and drinks were great and prices are favorable. It's not a cheap place to eat but for the type of establishment it is they're priced fairly and not overpriced like many places of the same class. I had a Hickory BBQ bacon cheeseburger myself which comes with a side of your choice. I asked for the meat to be cooked medium rare and medium rare is what i got. ❤️ The flavor? Mmh! Amazing! I'm looking very forward to my next trip there. They also have a full bar at that location. I know they're a family oriented business but I feel they'd also do well after family hours but maybe they're satisfied with what they got and aren't needing the money. I understand many establishments prefer to cater only to specific clientele and that's understandable but many would love to see them expand and would support it. ?? For now they close at 8:30 which seems to be a typical norm for that area so get there early and enjoy. ?

Vegetarian options: It's not a vegetarian establishment but there's salads etc with no meat and I believe a meat free burger choice

Parking: Parking can be somewhat limited if it gets busy especially since there are multiple business establishments that all share common parking areas. I happened to get there at a slower time and had no issue with close up parking. There's also a shopping center across the road that could be used if parking is scarce.

Kid-friendliness: It's definitely family oriented and have games there to confirm it. Might be a great place for birthday parties, etc.

Wheelchair accessibility: Most definitely ADA compliant with handicap accessible amenities.“

“Yummy BBQ for reasonable price. Their flavor is spicy sweet but not too spicy. Liked Pork Belly and Beef BBQ the most with good meat to fat ratio. Very good Chicken hearts, not gummy at all. Chicken skin was very crispy and thin, not oily. Chicken wings were also crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the right amount of seasonings to make it yummy.“

“I came here with friends for the first time. Everything was good except the beef back straps. That dish was super rubbery. We spit that thing out. Please avoid this dish! It was a deal, but totally not worth it at all. The 10 piece lamb bbq was good along with the lotus root and chicken feet. I had the lucky beer, which was good, too; I loved the bottle. I bought more outside to use as a planter lol

“Now, this is the way BBQ ribs ought to be served! I get the FULL rack here, none of that trimmed off St Louis junk with all the nice meaty ends all trimmed off. These ribs are smoked right here in the restaurant and served with a great brown sauce. It's NOT a gravy like come people say, it's a beef broth reduction that pairs perfectly with the pork ribs, heck even the fries! No place serves real ribs like this place or any of the other Emil Villa's out there.“

There was 9 of us. 3:30pm. Perfect time to go. They opened at3:00. We did the 49$ per person. We got everything on the menu. Started with the beef bone marrow for all. Tasty stuff , if u like that kind of thing. Not so much 4 me. We continue with bulgogi, short rib, rib eye. And kept going. U cook it yourself. Service was excellent, but missed a few repeat items. We hammered them of soooo many side dishes. All in all we ate a ton ;). Must check it out once. We did Gen bbq many times, but wanted to try the next In” thing As always, post wherever you end up. “I just discovered this place near the Cisco offices. I had the brisket, smoked cabbage (!) and honey-roasted brussels sprouts. Love the decor! Very Texas: Shiner Bock available, and a Pepsi fountain with syrup add-ins. Collin, the friendly pit-master recommended the ribs, which I will try next time. He's relocated to the Bay Area from Texas and is bring that experience here. Also like the BBQ sauces (mild and spicy), and the house-pickled jalapeno peppers. Ask for honey butter!“

“Yo, just hit up this spot the other day and gotta say, it was pretty solid. First off, the service was quick – like, I ordered on my phone and bam, food was ready before I even knew it. That's clutch.

They also got this cool little fish tank and some chill lighting that kinda sets a nice mood, you know? Not super fancy, but definitely adds to the vibe.

Now, the food itself was tasty, no doubt. Just a heads-up, it was maybe a tad on the salty side for my taste. And one other thing – they use bamboo skewers instead of the metal ones. Wasn't a big deal or anything, just something I noticed.

“The best Korean food I’ve ever had in my life! Their beef stew exceeded my expectation so much, it was super flavourful and tender. The best thing about it was it was full of big chunks of meat, so it was definitely enough for 3 very hungry adults, no need to be shy about taking the meat from the pot into your bowl! We added the cheese for extra flavour and performance lol! Also, their kimchi had the right spice level and of course you can refill them! The staff were nice too. “First of all, let me say that the service was kind and friendly. I went with my daughter, who the employees engaged with in a sweet manner from entrance to exit. It helped that we were the only customers, but for the employees to be so engaged at a slow time says something about the establishment. Now, the location is old and not the cleanest. But L&L has always been more of a grab n' go place. For the 20+ years I've been to these restaurants, from Southern to Northern California, I've rarely seen people eat in them. None of them have been very clean. We come for the generous portions, macaroni salad and luau luau pork they cook upon order.“

Meats were of decent quality, but some or the marinated beef was too sweet. Plenty of sauces and other herbs and spices to make your own dipping sauce. Service is super fast, but each portion is relatively small. Plenty of street parking and also several nearby parking lots.“

“This is a nice Thai BBQ place. We got Phad See-Ew with chicken, Chef's Special Seafood Combo Plate which came with Shrimps, scallops, mussels, squid. Fried shrimp & fried calamari, with a chicken fried rice. Everything was good except I felt the fried calamari and fried shrimp had to much breading on them we ended taking some of the breading off. Overall everything had good flavor, also the prices listed online are not the correct prices in store.“

Skibidi toilet rizz was playing cuz the owners kid was here. Classic Chinese restaurant. But otherwise, there were some interesting collections on the walls. Giving underground restaurant vibes, but not quite


Meat was juicyyyyy and love the enoki mushrooms. Some of the other skewers like the asparagus and 土豆丝 could use some more seasoning though.
