“I recently visited a bakery and tried their croissants and brownies. Both were incredibly moist and flavorful. The croissants had a perfect flaky texture, and the brownies were rich and decadent. Highly recommend this place“

“While visiting Balboa Island I stopped at Dad's Donut and Bakery for some breakfast. I was in the mood for a fresh soft donut with coffee. At first it wasn't apparent to me that the shop had donuts, since I looked up at the large exterior sign displaying their frozen banana, assuming that was their specialty. Regardless, I crossed the street, looked in the door and saw the large trays of donuts. Looking at the interior sign, I noticed they were in fact a bakery shop.

After perusing the various baked offerings, I picked up an apple fritter and a traditional chocolate donut. The apple fritter was fresh, with a firm outer shell and a soft fluffy inside with small chunks of delicious apple. The chocolate donut was soft, sweet and tasty with its chocolate top coating.

Dad's Donut shop is right near the entrance to the island and getting there early will land you with convenient parking to grab a bite to eat and enjoy some early shopping.“

IYKYK and we were in a mood for something warm and sweet, we looked up places near us and drove 45 min just to try their cinnamon rolls, we were pleasantly surprised by their variety of baked goods. Maddy the owner was there and she was very pleasant and kind 🤍. This establishment definitely gained a new customer. Wish they were closer but definitely worth my drive!“

“These are the best Balboa Bars on the island. They use premium chocolate that’s a mix of milk and dark chocolate, and they have premium ice cream. The result is that these are a lot better than the Balboa bars at Dad’s Original and the Original Frozen Banana Stand. We have tried those other places many times and they’re also very good. But if you’re ready to graduate, walk a few steps down to Too Sweet - you won’t regret it.“

“We have the most incredible experience for a birthday party for my 6-year-old. Chandra was so helpful. She went above and beyond to make this an amazing experience for my daughter and her cousins. Karen did an incredible job on the face paint and balloons. They even made sure to include my nephew and brought him out sword balloons and activities to participate as well last minute. We were so thankful for the thought and dedication the team put in. I would definitely recommend wonderland bakery to all families looking to celebrate.“

“I just went in to get a cinnamon pretzel. As I walked through the door this young kid with dark hair and glasses came running to greet me. He made my night, he was so cute. He looked very excited to welcome me and he was so over the top nice he made me laugh. It wasn't just to me either, a couple walked in behind me and he was just as thrilled to help them as well. Such a good employee!“

“Hi Pandor. My local Nisa store has started to or maybe for a while,, stocking your loaths. One particular one I've tried so far is what they refer to as the Granny Brown. Has a sort of nutty flavour and is like a full whole meal although rustic style small bloomer. It's my new favourite and a Son of a baker, let me complement you on a nice shop loaf. I wondered however. The paper bag with a transparent window, says it's 100% recyclable. I then to tear the plastic/transparent window out of bakery etcsemi paper bags and seperate transparent to landfil and paper to compost. Although I'd like to know is the peper suitable for compost. I wonder what makes the transparent window recyclable, so I can check with my local council if their recycling systems/contractors have the means to recycle it, before I tear it apart. What is the the transparent window made of if not plastic? Thanks“
