“Didn't fail to meet our expectations. We had a table of 4 and we were good to go in just about 30 minutes. The noodles and meat were so good and the staff were very attentive. Our server, Evelyn refilled water and broth as well as bringing us our food. As a fellow food enjoyer I would definitely have to put this hotpot place up there it was so good. Very great place and I will definitely be coming back.“

“Joon Shabu Restaurant is a hidden gem! Their lunch special is an amazing value, offering high-quality ingredients at an affordable price. We opted for the Large lunch combo. The service is top-notch - our server was attentive and friendly.
The meat is sliced thinly to perfection, and the variety of options is great. We loved being able to customize the broth to our taste, which added to the overall experience. The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it easy to get a table even on busy days.
Overall, Joon Shabu Restaurant is a must-try for Shabu lovers. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and generous portions makes it a standout in the area. We'll definitely be back!“

“As a hotpot foodie, by far, this is the most authentic place in town. Not only loved their main menu, hotpot and dry pot, but also enjoyed cucumber, fried sweet buns, and lamp skewers. With icy beer, yum!
The place was welcoming and clean. I also appreciated the prompt service.👍“

“Amazing find, theit sushi kaiseki is the best and the middle set at $160 is one of the best values in town. Reminds me of places we went to in Japan. Sit at the bar and get an authentic omskasa experience for way less than comparable restaurants.“

“Both employees were nice and patient, surprised there were only two workers though, they had to do a lot. The food was good, they explained that the creamy spicy base wasn’t really spicy, which I picked, and I liked it! The meat was good, decent atmosphere, not loud, no smoke from the cooking in your face as well, which I was surprised about because that normally happens in some shabu shabu restaurants.“

“If you’re looking for a dry hot pot place, you should check this place out. It’s very tasty, and I’ve been coming back many times. They also close very late, so you can get late-night snacks here to go. Valet parking only for $5 within 1 hour.“

“Definitely my top 5 favorite restaurant in Ktown!! The food is so good, probably because the selections here are always so fresh and so clean. It’s always a pleasant experience to dine in here. The people working here are also very kind and helpful.
Btw, if it matters to you, they have THE cleanest restroom I have ever seen in Ktown.“

“First of all, coming from a Chinese person - extremely good food, the ultimate male spot for you. secondly, to the person with literally a Chinese last name that left a whole review calling this “Korean” comfort food - this is Chinese and you being Chinese but going around saying that and not even know this is your own people’s food is so baffling to me and this is how we get our food and culture taken. The reason why the have Korean language in store is because Malatang had gotten very popular in Korea and this store IS in Ktown, maybe do some research before posting an AI rewrite of an review here and act like a google influencer 💀“

“We recently embarked on a three-week west coast “foodie” vacation, spanning five states and six major cities. Along the way, we dined at everything from Michelin-starred establishments to small mom-and-pop restaurants. By the end of our trip, everyone in our group unanimously agreed that our experience at Tensho was one of the absolute highlights.
From the warm hospitality and the evident pride in food preparation to the impeccable service and outstanding flavors, everything about our visit was memorable. We left the restaurant on a true “food high,” feeling as though if the entire world could experience what we just had, it might inspire world peace.
Be sure to order the wagyu—it’s an absolute must and a true indulgence!“

“Their wagyu beef is so delicious! I cannot believe how soft they are and flavor is unbelievable. My recommendation is sukiyaki, but shabu shabu is good for variety.“

“I ordered the SP D Combo with army stew, spicy chicken feet, corn cheese, and seaweed rice ball — everything was delicious! The flavors were rich and well-balanced. The spicy chicken feet at level 1 were just the right amount of heat for me — super flavorful without being overwhelming. Definitely a great spot for Korean comfort food. Highly recommend for late night meal.“

“Jing-gee Skhan is there specialty. I only come here for this. Save room for congee at the end.“
“Interesting experience. Might be our new hotpot place to go. The restaurant look great. Love the Japanese fast food concept. Not sure about the Japanese pop music, bit didn't bother us. Servers very nice and attentive but didn't have same taste (recomendations). We ordered the spicy tonkatsu and the another 3rd infantry division spicy soup, and the octopus balls. The food is great. Love the individual hotpot. Yet, I prefer more traditional hotpot without hotdogs, cheese, and spam. I will never order that 3rd infantry division soup, LoL. But definitely the tonkotsu one. I recomend this place.“

“This place is absolutely delicious. The food is fresh and tasty. The fried rice is tasty and so is the orange chicken, which is soft and tender. Noodles were a little little oily but that's okay because they are super tasty. My lady and I really enjoyed our dinner. Thank you!“

“Nice restaurant in Westwood Village that is close to UCLA. The hotpot here is solid, though the portions of meat are a little small. When you come in the staff indicates to you that you can order from the QR code on the table. While you can pay seamlessly with mobile payment options, the staff were extremely inattentive after this, while things like napkins were not located in easily accessible places nor offered to us. Besides that, the interior was a nice place to sit in and enjoy our food.“

“On the 3rd floor above Kinokuniya in Little Tokyo. This cozy restaurant serves shabu shabu and kushiyaki with options of beef, chicken, pork, and seafood. Different dipping sauce for each type of food and served with miso soup and rice. You have the option of ordering half size, full size, or all you can eat.“

“I’ve eaten here about 5 times now and easily is one of my favorite places to eat in LA! They offer all you can eat shabu for affordable prices in comparison to many other places, it’s about $28 a person but the selections are good and completely satisying, and even include sushi. The veggie/buffet bar also has delicious things, plus tasty sauces to go with your food. If you ever go do not fail to get the tom yum broth and sukiyaki sauce for your meats! It is insanely delicious and flavorful. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxing too :) Thank you Shabushi for the great service and eats!“

“Mr. Rice is my favorite restaurant in Westwood! The service is so friendly and sweet (they’re a mom and pop shop). The shop itself is cozy and food comes out fast. The soup is hearty and flavorful with a generous serving size. My favorites are the double chilli beef and the kimchi beef soup mixian.“
