“Did a search on “best mexican food in the Coachella Valley” and this popped up. So I loaded up the wagon and brought the gang for lunch. Everyone LOVED it. Our server was delightful and the food fantastic! Best carnitas I’ve had in a LONG time. Bonus points for being a location shoot for “A Star Is Born.”“

“Had the most amazing experience at Maleza. The food 10/10 and the service even better. The host, Daniella, was so kind and made our time at Maleza worth while (she’s a great photographer if you want some group photos). My friend is vegan and they accommodated to make tacos for her that weren’t even on the menu. If you are in downtown Palm Springs, or just visiting, this place is a must try!“

“I apologize but I have been going to get food at this location ever since they opened. I should have given a review from the start, but I wanted to wait until I truly experienced all of what they have to offer. All I have to say is, AMAZING. Everything from their carnitas tacos to carne asada nachos is the best. I can say I even drink their hot sauce lol. You want food that gives every bang for the buck, you need to go here. “I totally enjoyed my recent and a previous dinner occasion at La Perlita. Service was friendly and efficient, from being greeted through departure after enjoying a delicious meal. Portions were just right in size, not too little or too much. I had the pollo asado and was very satisfied.“

“Food is great as well as the prices. Margarita are good as well. I will definitely be coming back. I’ve been here four or five times now. The waiter didn’t once ask me once how my meal was. Nor did he offer dessert. The gentleman refilling my water, salsa, and chips was awesome though. Maybe I happen to miss it each time I’m but I really would like to hear some mariachi or other types of traditional Mexican music whether live or recorded. This is a Mexican restaurant after all. “Wow!! Absolutely amazing restaurant and bar! Flew in late last night and wanted a fun place with atmosphere to have appetizers and drinks. This was the perfect place!! Outdoor or indoor patio with mist kept is cool and refreshed. Loved the dim lighting and the modern decor! So inviting and relaxing. Fresh flowers on the tables and comfortable chairs. Very good service ! Excellent food! Tasty drinks that were visually appealing!! I’ll definitely go back ! Julio The manager greeted us and chatted with us and made us feel so welcome!! Carne asada fries and beef burrito was what I ordered with everything on it, highly recommended! Their hot sauce is actually spicy too! Good portions and great flavor with fair prices! “The mole enchiladas were TO DIE FOR! I cook mole and this recipe has me stumped, the presentation is also 10/10 The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The chips and salsa were excellent as well and I had the Jamaica agua fresca and it’s was just sweet enough any sweeter or diluted would be too much!!! Definitely coming back!!!“

I had the Chile Relleno with cheese (vegetarian options available, which was super nice!) and my husband had the Enchiladas de Mole with chicken - and both were delicious! The mole sauce is definitely of 5-star quality! It was all so fresh and authentic, with the foods being beautifully presented on the plates. I also highly recommend the horchata drinks there too!“

“We’ve ordered from here several times. This is our go to place for excellent fresh high quality authentic Mexican food. Their chicken mole is outstanding, and the chicken fajitas are delicious. The fresh chips and salsa are top notch, fresh and delicious. I appreciate a full serving with rice and beans with each entree. And fresh tortillas. The price is an excellent value at about $18-$19 for each entree. You certainly get your moneys worth. We had margaritas at the bar. They were fantastic!

“So good!! My husband grew up in a palm Springs and we have been enjoying date shakes for 40 years together and have tried them all. The date shakes here are the real deal. They are the only one that uses real dates and ice cream. Not date flakes or ice milk. The pastrami sandwich is so good also and enjoy the peaceful patio. If you see the bus there come back later. It’s a small family store and can get busy“

And much to our surprise it was only a few minutes down the road so we jumped in the car and made our way to this unassuming taco truck. The gal was so sweet and helpful with making choices and recommendations for me. Walked away with 7 tacos to share, and they were all so bomb that I came back to order more the next night.Will make this stop every time I visit Palm Springs. And make sure you try all the sauces/salsas. They are all delicious. Particularly the second hottest red salsa and the creamy green cilantro.We ordered the kimchi, wasabi, grilled shrimp and chimichurri tacos. Plus some asada and pastor street tacos. All would recommend! Thank you for being so awesome and nice!

“I had low expectations, but the fish taco was extraordinary. Generally, casino food court food (Pechanga, Caesar's Palace, Venetian) is mediocre at best. I ordered a fish taco. The fish was not battered and deep fried. No ... pan fried and not overcooked as is often the base. Well presented as well.“
