“I stopped in for a lunch to go and was blown away by the quality. Holy moly, this is great sushi! Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared, and I appreciate the little details like fresh shiso leaves and great ginger and wasabi. The staff was great, and super welcoming. They are about to add a sake menu too! 🍶 I walked a few blocks to Orinda Park and enjoyed my lunch there. Heads up Orinda- there is a very high standard of sushi being made right next to Zamboni’s pizza. I should have taken a photo of my maki and sashimi but I devoured it before I had a chance. 🍣 🍱“

“I have to say this experience exceeded expectations from start to finish.

A dear friend insisted I try the pineapple coconut cakes, ordering four and telling me “you will see.” That level of confidence immediately raised my curiosity and it absolutely delivered.

From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone. They were kind, informative, patient, and genuinely welcoming. That level of service matters, and they got it right.

I initially ordered four plates and appreciated the menu variety, especially seeing whole chicken wings offered. But the real moment came when I sampled the shrimp in my car. It was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and memorable.

I turned right back around and ordered an additional plate with catfish and shrimp, and that sealed it for me. The shrimp are 🔥🔥🔥!

This is the kind of place that earns repeat visits. The food is bold, the service is warm, and the overall experience leaves a lasting impression. I will absolutely be back.“

“Delicious oysters are available for $1.00 ea with the purchase of a bottom of wine or champagne. Good burgers, good vibes,friendly staff, and relatively easy street parking; there is also a parking garage nearby. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars for atmosphere is that it has high ceilings, and probably would have been loud if it were crowded.“

“I had a takeout pizza from this restaurant last night first of all the customer service was absolutely excellent. The person that answered the phone had a really pleasant customer focused manner , nothing was too much trouble and he was so polite. “Walk 10 minutes from MacArthur BART and you’ll find paradise in the form of a wine bar. Zach (head chef) and Emilio (line cook) are formerly of Verjus in San Francisco, and let’s just say we followed them across the bridge for a reason. Their expertise and attention to detail are evident in every bite — or sip! ;) On top of this, the service is impeccable. Our waiter, Nico, was a real gem! Thank God he moved from SoCal! “My friends favorite place, we shared general chicken, beef and chicken Fried rice, dumplings, skinny noodles chow main. The dumplings were okay, a lot of meat. General chicken was Crispy and little spicy, it is sweet. The chowmein with skinny noodle was little dry, picked the thicker noodle of you want to ordered chowmein. Fried rice was huge and they like us do a combo chicken and pork. In general, I like the food with the chili oil. The service was good.“

“I’m new to the neighborhood and this is my second time trying the food here. The food was hot and fresh. I really enjoy the fried chicken it reminds me of my hometown (Baltimore). I don’t eat fried chicken often but when I feel homesick this will be my go to. The fried fish I had the first time was amazing as well. The owner/chef is very kind hearted. The first time I came she thanked me with the most genuine smile. The second time she did the same and even chatted with me for a moment. I truly appreciate the delicious food and friendly customer service!“
