“Best Haitian food in the Bay Area hands-down! This was our first time trying Haitian food and it did not disappoint. Oxtail meat fell off the bone, jerk chicken spice was perfect. All the sides were more than what we could've asked for. Service was friendly, quick and welcoming. Will definitely return soon“

“The vibes outside on a beautiful day were lovely, and everyone seemed really nice, but spending ~$125 and feeling hungry afterwards was a bit of a bummer. (Fish and chips, salad, 2 chowders, some raw and some grilled oysters. In retrospect the move might have been to order some more fries for the calories.) Came here with partner & parents and sat outside. One issue was that the music was way too loud to be able to have a conversation without yelling. After waiting a while for raw oysters checked in with waitstaff and found they’d misdelivered the order to a different table. (It was a super busy night.) I wasn’t a huge fan of the salad; it was small but pricy and could’ve used some citrus to brighten it up. Fish and chips were delicious.“

“Had a reservation, but a physical problem in late afternoon required cancellation. However there is no telephone number and no way to let restaurant know -- and a default charge of $40.

Apparently this isn't restaurant policy. They contacted us within an hour and refunded the money -- and said they're looking for another reservation service.“

“I have to say this experience exceeded expectations from start to finish.

A dear friend insisted I try the pineapple coconut cakes, ordering four and telling me “you will see.” That level of confidence immediately raised my curiosity and it absolutely delivered.

From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone. They were kind, informative, patient, and genuinely welcoming. That level of service matters, and they got it right.

I initially ordered four plates and appreciated the menu variety, especially seeing whole chicken wings offered. But the real moment came when I sampled the shrimp in my car. It was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and memorable.

I turned right back around and ordered an additional plate with catfish and shrimp, and that sealed it for me. The shrimp are 🔥🔥🔥!

This is the kind of place that earns repeat visits. The food is bold, the service is warm, and the overall experience leaves a lasting impression. I will absolutely be back.“

“Does someone who has been in Berkeley for a long time this is one of like the places I feel is a spot that if you've been in the area this will be a place you're probably going to visit. But ultimately this is a spot where me and my family for like to come for some smoothies or small snack. My mom would rather go here then to a place like Jamba Juice because of just how good it is also the location is great it feels Homey the people are very personable. Especially if they remember you because if they remember you they'll know exactly what you want every time when they see you.

And ultimately the reason why I'm finally leaving a review is quite simply we came to their place right when they were about to start closing just wanting some smoothies and they were able to make us some and they got my mom's order just a little wrong because she didn't want something in her smoothie they went out of their way at their closing time to not only make her one smoothie because she said she wouldn't even be able to completely finish the customary one they're working but another just because she talked about possibly splitting it with my little sister. The people that work there deserve this good review and I hope that they keep thriving.

“My friends favorite place, we shared general chicken, beef and chicken Fried rice, dumplings, skinny noodles chow main. The dumplings were okay, a lot of meat. General chicken was Crispy and little spicy, it is sweet. The chowmein with skinny noodle was little dry, picked the thicker noodle of you want to ordered chowmein. Fried rice was huge and they like us do a combo chicken and pork. In general, I like the food with the chili oil. The service was good.“

We’ve tried different Peruvian restaurants and have also been to Peru a few times so this place was a gem to find. The Lomo Saltado was the perfect nostalgic dish. I know where you revisit. “Atmosphere is not why you go here. It is truly a hole in the wall. If you can get over that, the fish is fried to perfection, not oily and the oil is fresh. The sole I ordered was nice and crispy and not overcooked even though dole is thin. The main problem with it though, I thought it didn't need to be as salty as it is. I don't know if they can adjust the salt level for you or not but it would be perfect if they could.“

“First of all the people that were in there getting food talked to me about how great it is before I could even order. I was excited. I ordered a Super Burrito with ground beef and everything. I also ordered a taco. When I saw how many ingredients were piled up on that taco and saw how the only way he could close that taco was to envelope it in aluminum foil I was amazed. But then when I picked up my bag containing one burrito and one taco I swear it was a couple of pounds! The burrito was huge! And delicious! I recently visited this hot pot restaurant and it quickly became one of my new favorites in the area. From the moment we walked in, the experience was outstanding.

The dipping sauces are customizable and addictive — we couldn’t stop dipping and refilling our bowls. Everything was so tasty that we kept ordering more rounds.
