“My husband and I had an excellent experience tonight. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to snag 2 seats at the bar. Arturo, the bartender, was precious. He was so friendly, happy, and was extremely attentive… he refilled my soda water multiple times without me having to ask. That kind of service used to be an expectation, but the industry today isn’t quite what it was. The food we ordered was delicious too! Definitely order a cocktail, the burrata, and pappardelle (we got a lamb one and a veggie one)! We will be back.“

“Our visit to Stoke's Adobe last weekend produced the best meal I've had on The Peninsula in a decade! Restauranteur, Sarah Orr, has hit one out of the park. The dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Bryce Hansen, were flawless, my favorties being the seared scallops and truffle chicken. Loved the nod to former occupant and socialite, Hattie Gragg, with the inclusion of the Hattie's Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu :) Looking forward to our next visit and an opportunity to sample other items on their ever evolving menu.“

“I'll start off by saying I love dive bars. So naturally, Alfredos is my type of bar. It's a cash only bar with an ATM inside. They don't serve any type of food. They do, however, have a menu from a business that's right across the street. They do deliver! Awesome! Bartender and company are very friendly! 5 stars from me! Cheers!“

“This place was highly recommended. Everything was Great! Lots of character. And lots of characters! walked in and sat right down at the bar. Bob, The bartender, When asked, provided some great information on where to Visit along the coast. He sent us to a perfect place and we had the best time. The drinks were amazing. An old-fashioned and a vodka tonic were ordered.Enjoy having conversation with several other people from out of town. I feel like I made a lifelong friend. Thank you, Bob.“

“Everyone should have the full dinner at least once but once you get the vibe then sit at the bar or the super comfy patio and order a la carte.

Service is absolutely charming and worth the price of admission. The menu changes a lot but if you see the abalone skewers then they are a must have.

“This is definitely a dive bar. Not a young crowd and me and my boyfriend felt a bit out of place when walking in and seeing only 3 older men sitting. One was smoking as well. Drinks were cheap and made well. Cool atmosphere and nice fire place.“

The hotel is in a weird part of the neighborhood that made me think there might be some seedy businesses nearby, the small parking lot behind the building is accessed by an extremely narrow alleyway and I was afraid I might have trouble turning the car around, and the rooms are small. —- BUT —- The hotel has tons of charm and they work hard to make your stay memorable. Our room was thoughtfully appointed with hardwood flooring and a heated tile bathroom, supportive pillows, an electric fireplace, a wireless charger, a jetted tub, and Charmin toilet paper! The window opened out to a small hint of a balcony. As we were coming and going throughout our stay I was touched to see the cleaning staff spend so much time cleaning just one room, and even at one out I saw one of them polishing the baseboards. The breakfast was delicious, with freshly baked popovers hot out of the oven accompanied by butter and homemade jam. The lemon ricotta pancakes were very good — I had no idea lemon could taste fragrant and floral without being sour. The polenta was buttery and delicious. We got to meet the owner Nick, who was very nice. Tony checked us in and served us breakfast with a smile every morning.“

“We had very nice anniversary dinner at Stationaery. We sat outside, since we still do not feel comfortable for an indoor seating due to pandemic. The evening was cool, but heating lamps made it comfortable for longer and leisure meal. Both food and service were excellent. “Our first visit to Lalla Grill Del Monte and it was fabulous! The food was delicious. Our waiter Tino was friendly, professional, and on top of everything. Later we went to the bar. It was fully stocked and the bartender, Rae, was the bomb! Worth a visit if you are in the area! Highly recommend.“

“We chose Seventh & Dolores for our second wedding anniversary dinner, and had a really great night. They surprised us with two complimentary glasses of champagne 🥂 a sweet gesture that set a celebratory tone. We sat outdoors under the heat lamps and fire pits, which made for a cozy, romantic vibe. ✨

We ordered the Seafood Tower that had shrimp, oysters, tuna tartare, grilled octopus, and caviar, plus a white red & bleu salad and a massive tomahawk steak (around 40 oz) with broccolini. For dessert, we went with the Copa Banana cocktail, the Bougie Pear Cocktail, and the Valrhona Chocolate Terrine. Now, this dessert... layered chocolate decadence topped with honeycomb. So damn good

The seafood tower had highlights. Oysters were fresh, tartar was delish, shrimp was juicy, and the caviar was a nice touch, we definitely did some caviar bumps 😆. The octopus was a little on the salty side for me, but the texture was perfect. The tomahawk was a showstopper. We ordered it rare and it delivered. We even joked about taking the bone home to grill and gnaw on later 😆.

Cocktails & Desserts were next-level. The Copa Banana had that espresso-banana vibe that hit just right. Next time, I'm ordering that UP. The Bougie Pear was exactly what my wife wanted. That Valrhona Chocolate Terrine though…easily one of my favorite bites of the night.

Our server & bussers were friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations. The atmosphere was upscale but not stuffy. Vibrant, playing some beats I like. What an enjoyable evening all around.

Pricey? Yeah. Regrets? None. Would we go again? Absolutely. Next time, I’m going for the filet mignon 👀🤤“

“My husband and I spent several days last week visiting the Monterey Bay area and had several people recommend Lalla Grill Oceanside as a great place to dine. They were so right ... the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch! Our server, Serena, was an absolutely delightful young lady and helped us order a selection of foods that were all amazing! The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water offered spectacular views. Next time we visit the area, there will definitely be a return trip to Lalla Grill!“

“Very good breakfast food. Very quick service. Plenty of seating options. Would recommend this place for a good brunch option even if you’re not staying at the hotel. I think the buffet is a little over priced, but the menu options are correctly priced and taste very good. We stayed at the hotel for 10 days and got breakfast every morning, the head chef and the manager came out and talked to us every morning to make sure we were okay. They were accommodating to allergies, and overall was very good experience.“

“Really pretty set up, both inside and outside. Been here three times now and have sat outside each time and it's been really nice each time. The menu is seasonal, which is nice, to try some new things, and it's a generous amount of food. We've enjoyed our food each time but really hoping the dessert options and quality picks up in the future, that was unfortunately a miss for us on both counts.“

“The food was really good (clam chowder and lobster roll). My less than 5 stars comes from the atmosphere and cleanliness. I was expecting a slightly nicer place given the location, photos online and prices but this really gave me sports bar vibes. Our table was sticky and the empty tables around us were still dirty from previous patrons. It is possible they were understaffed because I only saw one server while we were there. He was polite and the food came out quickly.“
