“Came here for dinner as half way from our house and half way from friends house. Ate outside which was nice but they should have four people tables instead of just 6 people, could fit more tables. Service was great and food was really good. We loved the wine and beer slushes! We will be back.“

“My wife and I stopped in for a brunch cocktail, staff was very friendly and very accommodating.

Football games were on, volume on one game, which I appreciate.

Wasn't too busy on a football Sunday, although very early in the day, could be a hidden gem for the 10 o'clock games.

“What a great restaurant at the Bernardo Winery. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch before walking around the cute winery and do some shopping in the boutiques on site.

There are lots of outdoor tables to choose from and most are shaded. It opens at 11am and it was busy soon after. We went on a weekday too.
You can get wines from the tasting room or delicious coffee from Manzanita next door.

You order from the counter and your food will be delivered to your table. Everything we had was delicious though the pizza was a little on the burnt side from the wood fired oven.

Parking: There are two small parking lots and plenty of street parking.“

“We wanted to sit and enjoy the beautiful golf course over breakfast and we’re so glad we did! We had the pancakes with crispy chicken and it was delicious with coffee.
The staff was so friendly and we enjoyed watching the golfers too. Lovely golf course, beautiful trees, and landscaping. We explored the patio, and it would be a nice place to invite friends for a lovely time.“

“The beer is awesome of course, the sculpin is my go to. We ordered pizza, a wedge salad, and the birria tacos, everything was great but believe it or not the salad was the most enjoyable for us! It had a generous amount of crispy pork belly along with gorgonzola, fried onions, tomatoes, and a creamy dressing. It was so good and I’ll definitely get it again.“

“Burgers are delish!! They also offer sliders but I didn’t see them on the menu. Beef is cooked to order. French fries are crispy and cooked just right. Also, ordered the shrimp taco. Tacos are small. They offer meals to go.

“We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the chicken panini. Both were great. Chicken was thick and tasty and the vegetables inside the sandwich were tasty too. The pastrami was lightly burnt around the herbs and spices edges just how we like it. Service seemed on par with a nice upscale steak restaurant (good thing) and decent selection of beer and wine (though we did not have any alcohol this time). The menu was priced according to a nicer lunch experience, so it's not the bang for your buck, but being able to have garlic fries instead of regular with no extra cost is a positive tick in the $$ column. We will have to come back for a glass of something!“

“Food options have seriously decreased. This really is a place centered just on beer. Getting together with friends would be ideal if you just want appetizers. Beer as always for the past couple decades is really good, so that is a plus. Very loud inside - outside in the evening is a better option if you want to have conversations.“

“Like many of the other posts have mentioned, the staff stands out from other luxury hotels I've stayed. Extremely friendly, and very helpful. They were helpful in ways I wouldn't have anticipated but very much appreciated. I played the Grand Del Mar golf course on property and left my scorecard on the cart. I wanted to keep it as a souvenir so called the pro shop and asked if it was OK if I came back up there to look for it. They said, "no problem, we'll find it and drop it off at the front desk." And they did. Not sure a lot of other resort staffs would have done that. Another example would be Justin, a member of the main lobby wait staff who tipped us to the incredible selection of books in the library bar, gave us some good recs on bars to visit in the SD area and was just overall very pleasant and fun to chat with while dining. Overall, the resort is beautiful, the Carmel valley is beautiful, but the staff is the biggest reason I would not hesitate to recommend this resort. Room Tips: If possible get a room on the first floor facing the adult pool. Really nice to be able to walk out on your private patio and have direct access to the pool. 1st floor rooms are also right next to the spa and gym, both of which are what you would expect from a 5 star resort. General Stay Tips: Use the car service. John is awesome. He'll take care of you.“

“Very small menu. No one in our party ordered a hamburger, but that most likely would've been best. We had wings, salads, pretzel & fish & chips. I wish the waitress would've told us about the specials. We didn't notice the chalk board out front with the specials on it until we walked out.“

“Chef and staff (back of kitchen to wait staff) were fabulous with their service, courtesy and attention to details. All courses from Starters to Entrees were all presented beautifully with memorable palates. Cocktail and wine pairings were delicious and enjoyable. Outside became chilly towards the end of our meal. Host Michael provided a light hotel blanket to keep my legs warm and upped the heat lamps for an even more enjoyable dinner.“
