“Stunning Pastries That Look Like Art — Pizza Croissant Was the Star

If you’re looking for beautiful artisan pastries and creative croissants, this bakery is definitely worth visiting. The pastries look like edible art... the glazing, colors, and design are absolutely mesmerizing.
The service was excellent. One of the owners was there interacting with customers, which I really appreciated. It shows pride in the business and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
Flavorwise👀.. some pastries were fantastic while others looked better than they tasted for me. Here’s my honest ranking of the ones I tried:

Light, fresh, and nicely balanced.
2️⃣ Strawberry Cream Pastry – 8/10
Soft texture and pleasant sweetness.
3️⃣ Raspberry cube Croissant – 10/10
Beautiful and delicious. One of the standouts.
4️⃣ Chocolate Croissant – 4/10
Looked great, but the flavor felt a little bland
5️⃣ mini heart Strawberry crossants- 8/10 Beautiful and delicious mini treat
6️⃣ Strawberry croissant – 5/10
Decent, but it didn’t leave a strong impression compared to the others...
7️⃣pistacho Croissant – 4/10
Beautiful glaze, but the flavor didn’t stand out much.
For drinks, I tried the hibiscus coffee that was recommended. I may have misunderstood the drink because I expected coffee with hibiscus syrup. Instead, it tasted more like a lightly carbonated hibiscus soda mixed with coffee, and it came across a bit watered down for my taste. It might just be the style of the drink, but it wasn’t quite what I expected when ordering coffee.
Overall, I walked out spending over $80 on pastries and coffee, so I was hoping for a bit more flavor to match the incredible presentation.
That said, the creativity, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, and the pizza croissant alone is worth coming back for. I’m looking forward to returning and trying more pastries and exploring more of the coffee menu.“

“Overall great customer service only problem is them staying open when there’s literally no more cookie flavors anymore but the cheesecake ones they can at least put a sign saying there’s only cakes left that way I won’t be in line only to be dissapointed, anyways I love this location because they are very friendly and their secret menu flavors are always excellent!!“

“Yummy fresh healthy scrumptious mouthwatering dense fluffy flaky buttery sweet morsel teeth sharpening tongue lapping are just some of the word’s adjectives that I would use to describe peninsula pastries. You don’t stay in business for 23 years by being average. So above average quality baked goods that will make you return time after time. Great customer service as well and more importantly you can place specialty orders or simply be surprised by what treats you may discover on any given day.“

“They always have what I want. Buns, sweet bread, flan, cookies. $6.50 for a cake made of ham or turkey with everything! They accept EBT Yummy, fruit eaters made right in front of you. I love the green juice. Nice, sweet ladies always there. Neighborhood store that I will miss when I leave Salinas.

“Alexis is an absolute wizard when it comes to concocting drool-worthy cakes and patisseries! My husband and I were referred to her, Tart and Tin, by our venue as a preferred vendor for our wedding this November 2021, and boy did she understand the assignment! She is incredibly kind, accommodating, and delivered far above and beyond our consultation and expectations. My wedding guests gobbled up everything so quickly and people are still talking about her cake design for us. Alexis was a dream and we cannot recommend her enough! :)“

“Trader Joe’s in Marina is one of my favorite grocery stores. There’s plenty of parking, so getting in and out is always easy. The store is well organized, and the items I buy regularly are consistently in the same place, which makes shopping quick and hassle-free without wandering the aisles looking for things.

The staff is always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Overall, it’s a clean, convenient, and enjoyable place to shop. Highly recommended!“

The crust was flaky, the lemon curd filling was not too tart, and the meringue was perfection! Everyone really enjoyed it! “One of THE best bakeries in Salinas. Every cake we've ordered from here has gone abive and beyond our expectations. Our last cake we ordered was a moon cake in which we were expecting something pretty simple. Well the gal that runs the place did a frosting painting of a night sky with moon on it. Looked way better than what we were thinking about to begin with. (We were alsp pretty vague when we ordered and literally just said "moon cake") All I was expecting was a grey cake with some black circles, instead I get a Monalisa moon cake. Put far more effort than we ever expected. And the cake is incredible by the way. Frosting so soft its hard to even feel it. Best cakes and this is for sure our main bakery both for aready and going forward.“
