The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. “I’ve been struggling to find a decent Tonkatsu, but this one is among the best Ive had in the US. I’m not an expert in Japanese cuisine but I have been to Japan a few times an this place is within striking distance of the average tonkatsus I had there. I’ll be back when I’m in the area“

The music level was on point , low enough to talk loud enough to appreciate. The staff is very kind , they give off family vibes . Food came out quickly and hot . “Ordered the Galbi-jjim and it was so tender and flavorful! The ribs were fall off the bone. Add cheese for extra flavor and a fire show. The side dishes were tasty. Service was good.

“I didn't actually dine this time. I went to reserve space for the weekend for my ladies social club. We HAVE eaten here many times. It's one of our favorite spots! The food is plentiful, the service is good and the staff is very accommodating. For the amount of food they provide, the prices are EXCELLENT! You get such a large amount of deliciousness for the simple, singular prices. LOVE the food quality and quantity! If you haven't already, you should give it a try. “I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.“

“We had the combo 3: 1-fish taco, 1-shrimp taco(battered), the fish and chips and the ensenada (surf & turf) burrito. This damn food is ridiculously delicious!!!!! The steak was tender and everything was nicely flavored. They are NOT overly priced either. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because: 1. Even when you are busy (and this place is busy), you have to have clean tables AND seats. The lady wiped the table and we had to have her come back for the seat. 2. The line goes through the restaurant, so if you're eating at one of the first couple of booths, someone's butt could be in your face/food. I did notice that, most people order to-go. Again, the food is absolutely delicious and they are fast with orders.“

We were a bit sad that the samgye tang didn’t have ginseng in it. I think it might be in the broth when they cook it but we usually get the real ginseng our dish too when ordering this. The hostess and wait staff were extremely patient and welcoming towards them but also the parents that were staying to observe.
