“My brother and I went to Pho Hoan Pasteur with high expectations as they had high ratings on Yelp.
He ordered the regular sized steak and tendon pho. He found one piece of tendon in the entire bowl, so he was disappointed. The taste of the pho broth was just OK... not the best, nor the worst he's ever had.
I had the grilled shrimp bun and it came with two egg rolls. I was disappointed as rice noodles were all broken. It felt as though the bowl was filled with the rice noodle scraps at the bottom of the bag. The fish sauce wasn't remarkable either. I added lime juice and samba.
We tried it. We probably won't return.“

The food is plentiful, the service is good and the staff is very accommodating. For the amount of food they provide, the prices are EXCELLENT! It held true.
Soups are thicker and more flavorful.
I try the steak Gorgonzola pasta dish when I go to other locations & Torrance blew the rest out of the water.
Service was amazing.
The manager attended us and everything was on point.

“Let's be real, sometimes restaurant names escape me. But when my wife says "Korean soup place with all the Korean senior citizens," I instantly remember she means Tofu Village in Gardena.

Here's the thing: if you walk into a Korean restaurant and it's filled with Korean senior citizens, you know the food is legit. And Tofu Village? It's always bustling with them, which is a testament to the authentic, soul-warming dishes they serve.

Their specialty is Soon Tofu, and it's honestly the best value on the menu. A bubbling hot stone bowl filled with flavorful broth, silky tofu, and your choice of protein (I'm a beef guy, through and through)? It's pure comfort food.

But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the banchan. Those unlimited vegetable side dishes? They're a feast in themselves! Fresh, flavorful, and constantly refilled. And even when you order to go, they don't skimp. They pack up little aluminum foil containers with the best of the bunch, which is a thoughtful touch.

Tofu Village isn't fancy, and it doesn't need to be. It's authentic, delicious, and makes you feel good from the inside out. It's a 5-star experience, and I'll keep coming back for that warm, comforting bowl of Soon Tofu. And those banchan, of course!“

The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. “A nice restaurant for Korean comfort food. The bibimbap was good. It feels less Americanized than most restaurants, which was a good thing. We were a bit sad that the samgye tang didn’t have ginseng in it. I think it might be in the broth when they cook it but we usually get the real ginseng our dish too when ordering this. It’s a small place and they have a restaurant in the back thats pretty big never tried their food so I can’t tell anything but I see a lot of people there . Parking is very small and annoying but I live like 35 minutes away and I will go out my way to go there .“

“We ordered 2 jalapeno kimbap and 2 beef bulgogi kimbap and they gave us 4 little spicy soups that I thought was miso at first but it's not it's a delicious bean sprout jalapeno soup. So good and spicy 😍 The owners were so nice and asked our daughter if she wanted to take a book home 💚 definitely have to go back for a date night with hubby and try their other items“

“The food and vibe here are definitely old-skool healthy and delicious japanese food. it's not like all the other ramen restaurants popping up where the ingredients and broth are much heavier whereas at Asa, the masterful simplicity of the broth complimenting the toppings is something to be appreciated. “It’s only 4 stars because of the initial service. I ordered online for delivery, I was feeding 10 people and ordered 12 items. Delivery went as well as expected, but an item was missing. When I called to ask if the item was being brought to us I was told that we needed to go pick it up. I explained that I couldn’t and that was the reason why I had ordered for delivery and wanted the item. The lady said they couldn’t deliver it so I told her I would be writing a negative review and she genuinely felt nervous but she still couldn’t deliver the orange chicken. Eventually my wife drove over to pick up the item and they were more than apologetic, gave us two extra dishes and free sodas. We’ll definitely go back as our favorite restaurant closed down and needed a new go to place. Hopefully service will be better next time and I’ll update it to 5 stars!“
