The food was securely packaged for takeout, and both my wife’s meal and mine were absolutely delicious. To top it off, the person at the front was incredibly welcoming and cordial. “I love how ethnic markets: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican supermarkets in So. Cal included a food court where everyone can sample ethnic dishes. At this H Mart, I ordered Hot Stone Bibimbap. It arrived with three sides, and two sauces. Yummy doesn’t even begin to describe this dish. All the raw vegetables were freshly sliced, warmed by the heat of the stone and rice. The cooked vegetables were perfectly cooked-maintaining their bright green color. I prefer low salt, so I just poured in a little bit of the sauce. While sitting down to eat my lunch, I thought about groceries to pick up from H-Mart. I’m a little surprised that this food court with 4 eateries wasn’t busier during the week. Bring your appetite.“

The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. “I love this pho spot! The ambience is great. The customer service is speedy and you are immediately given a warm welcome as you step in. The food is also really good (although I’ve only ever ordered number 4, the steak and brisket pho 👌🏽). I did try a bit of the shrimp pho when my mom ordered it, and it was good, but I’m more into beef than seafood, so that’s just personal preference. Definitely check it out. This was where I tried pho for the first time and it hits the spot every time.“

“Really enjoyed the dishes, ordered a broken rice plate (amazing), vermicelli, pho, spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee and flan (awesome). Everything was delicious, I would say the spring rolls were sort of bland so they should enhance those somehow. Other than that I'd eat there again and the staff were delightful!!!!“

“I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.“

I didnt expect a place in Gardena to serve superb Korean Tofu! we usually find these great restos in Koreatown. Service was excellent-- only 1 lady managed the orders. If you’re looking for quick fast-food service, this is probably not the place for you. I’ve been coming here for a while, and the food is always good quality, but it takes time. I usually order a drink and relax while I wait for my food. In my experience, the wait is typically at least 30 minutes and can sometimes be up to an hour.

Personally, I don’t mind because I know what to expect, and I enjoy having a drink while I wait. However, if you’re coming here just because they’re open late and the prices are cheap, be aware that your food may take a long time to come out.

The people serving customers are the same people preparing the food in the kitchen. They come out to seat guests, take orders, and then go back to cooking. There isn’t a dedicated waitstaff like at many restaurants, so service can be slower during busy times.

That said, the food quality is worth the wait for me. Just come with the expectation that this is not a fast-food , service type of experience.“
