“Eating here was one of the highlights of the Trip! Gorgeous decor and well dressed serving people who were so friendly and fast ! Very authentic Mexican cuisine awaits you. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the meals were ! We drove from Los Angeles to the restaurant and it was well worth the trip with the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean along the way. We were so glad to eat here.Parking: A safe , large paved parking lot free for customersKid-friendliness: Lots to eat here for children and service is so fast they will not get restless.“
“The good:My husband will rarely say no to Chipotle. I got a chicken bowl with brown rice and a few of their self-serve agua frescas. I also tried a steak burrito with guacamole (yes, that's extra). I love the variety of agua frescas they have and how it's self-serve so you can try them all. They have both an indoor and outdoor seating area. I like that they have many meat options and options for vegetarians as well. I liked how fast the workers were at assembling the food and how they have an assembly line setup with a server designated for a different aspect of the bowl. Chipotle is always a satisfying and filling meal. They have a kids menu with quesadilla and tacos as options. The bad:The chicken's spicy even though it isn't listed as spicy. I love spice but was trying to share my bowl with my toddler who can't quite handle that heat yet. Next time I guess I can order from their kids menu but I don't know what protein options exist for the kids. The interesting:I've been to their first location in Colorado. The layout and style is very similar still! I feel like their burritos are smaller than they used to be? Either that or my appetite has just grown.“
“Our waiter was friendly and fantastic. The venue itself is very cool. But cool in temperature too. The whole front of the place is open with no wall and we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. The food was very tasty and we loved the trio of guacamole. The filet tacos were too smokey flavored. We finished with the flan and it was amazing. Big enough to share!“
“ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!! One I was able to schedule a large party of fifteen 3 days prior, where I wasn’t able to elewhere. Others restaurants required someone to call me back, a contract etc. Sasual took my large party not once but twice that week. You really kept me out of a bind where I was hosting a group of executives from Boston and New York. The service and food was out of this world. I moved to California 6 years ago and this was hands down THE BEST Mexican food I’ve eaten since I’ve lived here. Our servers were so accommodating and fast, I don’t know how you did it with such a large party. It was so good we came back a second night the same week. You are now my favorite so I will be back with the wife and I will recommend to every person who asked me. I get a lot of people who ask, where should they go to eat and this will be my #1 recommendation. Thank you Sausal.“
“You might have a doubt when you see where this place is, but go!! You're in this restaurant that is nice, clean, and cool and the decor feels so at home. It's beautiful! Being Mexican-American, I know these dishes and how delicious they are but let's be honest, HEAVY!! But these dishes hit the taste spot for some good Mexican Food! The Mole, the Tacos, the Suace, it all brings back memories, and when you think these are all Vegan ingredients you are just more enamored. The waitress, Alejandra, was so nice and so passionate about the restaurants and the dishes, it makes you smile. And always giving a shout-out to the cook for making delicious food but also very aesthetically cool dishes!“
“We ordered Tamales from here for the holidays and they were absolutely delicious! Great flavor with just enough spice. The server was extremely friendly and got our order fast. Not to mention they were super hot so it tasted so fresh. We were able to freeze some as well for later. We can't wait to go back to try other food!“
“Enjoyed a relaxing outdoor brunch at this popular Mexican restaurant in the Torrance Hollywood Riviera. We picked a nice corner spot with partial shield under the umbrella. It’s a dog friendly restaurant but we wanted to be away from others with our young puppy. The food came fairly quickly, we highly recommend the Octopus Ceviche if you like octopus. I had the Wednesday Burrito special, and my wife had two tacos specials with Asadas. Both were delicious. Our server, Anthony, was prompt and friendly, multiple other servers stopped by multiple times made you feel welcome and made sure we have what we needed.Parking: Parking: a bit of hit and miss in this popular district, once you find a street parking spot, I recommend using the QR code and pay electronically, it’s relatively painless. Another person tried to mess with the meter and sometimes the screen is hard to read, especially under the sun.“
“This restaurant is very spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly. We ordered taquitos dorados and they were HUGE. They were very flavorful. The pupusas were also HUGE! These were also delicious. The last plate was garanachas these were ok I’m not a fan of the cheese I believe it was cheddar. The meat was a little salty. Their prices are average and very worth it based on the size of their meals. We would definitely come back! They also have home made tortillas for tacos and have aguas frescas as well as sodas.“
“I love trying new vegan places but finding a new one where you would least expect, is awesome! Showed up around noon and the place was empty. The employees were really courteous and helpful and recommended a few items I should try which made ordering an easy choice. We (family of 5) ended up ordering 2 Chinese combo plates and a taco plate (one of each). Took about 15-20 min to make which isn’t too bad considering I didn’t call ahead. The Chinese food was good but the Taco plate was excellent!!! Definitely going back to try out more of the Mexican dishes. Plenty of parking.“
“I've been coming here a few years and food is good, but yesterday it was great. Came out hot n fresh. The star of this visit was ERICA she was best waitress hands down. She made the whole experience. Loved her customer service. She a 100 out of 10. Ask for Erica she's the best.“
“I came here for lunch. Parking lot is very small. The place was very busy, but the service was great. We were greeted immediately as we walked in. I like shrimp, so I got the Al Mojo de Ajo (Shrimp sautéed in garlic). The plate was big and came with three tortillas. The food was very tasty (although the garlic should be more on the shrimp than on the beans), and I was very full at the end.“
“Ordered a falafel burrito and the hummus with pita, and cheese quesadilla with chipotle sauce on the side via Uber eats.I wasn't crazy about the pita bread itself and the hummus was just ok, but the falafel burrito was great! I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!“
“Great place for dinner time. I would recommend for quick local Mexican food. Food is good. Nice ambiance. Drinks looked good even though we didn't have any. Service was great! Our waiter is either a manager or owner and is usually there. He is kind and attentive, also very helpful with menu and for food suggestions. They serve a good serving size for each dish. Would recommend this establishment!“
“After running an errand in the area, G's popped up on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking, G's was not hard to find. Upon entering, it was plenty busy for 11am on a rainy day (a good sign.) I was pleasantly surprised they offered $1.25 tacos for Taco Tuesday ! In addition, they offer this special on Thursdays and Sundays! I ordered two asada and two al pastor tacos. After ordering, I helped myself to the salsa/condiment bar which had many of the usual suspects (red, green and an avo salsa along with limes.) The tacos came out freshly cooked and were served on heated yellow corn tortillas. The meats were well seasoned and topped with onions, cilantro and red sauce. I've been on a taco crawl all over LA the past few years and these rival some of the best around. While scarfing down my tacos, I was looking over the handwritten whiteboard menu and noticed that they offered complimentary consome. How awesome is that?! This along with the fact I skipped dinner the night before prompted me to order two birria tacos which along with the consome totally hit the spot . Safe to say I will be returning again and again!“
“What a great place, we flew in from Mexico & we felt like we didn't get enough Mexican food. So we came here & this place did not disappoint. We got chilaquiles, machaca and eggs, and huevos divorciados, and two cafe de hollas ? I got the huevos divorciados & would have liked them a bit spicier, but that's just me. The machaca and eggs might have been a little dry according to my husband, but delicious. The portions are pretty big, we took some chilaquiles home. The place is super welcoming & I loved all of their attention to detail. Great place to enjoy a wonderful breakfast.Vegetarian options: Lacto-ovo vegetarian friendlyWheelchair accessibility: First floor, wide space to maneuver between tables & chairs can be arranged for wheelchairs“
“With Wahoos closed where we gonna go for tacos after going to the beach. We could overpay for “tacos” where Wahoos used to be, or walk a block here for something authentic.Service was he, greeted by the owner at the door who was having dinner with friends.Food was decent. Needed to add some salsa and hot sauce, but they probably do that to appeal to a wide range of spice tolerances.“
“Great experience all around. I took my friend from Kansas who is not a huge Mexican food fan. I told her to come to Palmilla and give it a try. We had the caesar salad (I loved the capers in it) Ceviche trio, and the carnitas. The food was so good, not greasy like a lot of Mexican food and deliciously elevated. The Serrano cilantro margarita was amazing too. Service was friendly and prompt. Thank you“
“After church, the family decided to go out and grab a bite to eat. We checked out a local spot in Carson and it was a pleasant surprise. I've drove pas this restaurant for years and never went in until now. The staff is very friendly, attentive and give quality service. The food was delicious. I went with the shrimp & grits with a voodoo ranger beer on the side. Now that I know this spot exists, I will definitely be back for more.“
“We have eaten at Salsa Verde several times. The food and service were excellent each time. Sit in a window table for wonderful sunset views!Parking: There’s plenty of free parking both in front and also on the street behind the restaurant.“
“The brunch is amazing!!!!! The food is fresh and they have shrimp!!!!! The waiters are pleasant and Ivan the host is friendly and has knowledge about all of the food. The waiter who took our orders was Higinio was great to get our extra sauces and bring us delicious drinks...keep them coming....from the food to the service and the location no complaints about this location........thank you for a wonderful experience and meal..........“
“My wife and I come to this location often. We come to this location specifically because the staff are so caring, nice and the service is outstanding! Our favorite waitress is a young lady named Jocelyn My 6 yr old granddaughter loves her and loves coming here. Jocelyn always makes sure she makes herself available to take a picture with our granddaughter everytime we go. All of the staff are very nice and that all starts at the top. The management/owners are very attentive and hardworking. This El torito location should be the example of excellence to all the other El toritos in the southbay. Keep up the good work guys and gals!!- Happy Customer 2024“
“Delicious food with large portions and excellent quality! The atmosphere here is very cozy and friendly. Almost feels like you’re dining in mom’s kitchen. There’s a nice seating area in the rear too that’s great for larger groups. I love this place!“
“The breakfast burritos here are my favorite! Maple habanero is SO good! :) I just wanted to write a review because I’ve been coming here for years now & the owners, employees, & food are the best in San Pedro. One of the owners even gifted me a shirt after noticing my consist business, how sweet!! I’ll definitely continue to tell others about this place & it will forever be my favorite breakfast spot!“
“Ordene los chilaquiles rojos con carne asada y huevos estrellados! Estaban deliciosos la mesera que me atendió muy eficiente con bueno modo y no se diga el señor que esta recibiendo ala jente el la puerta muy amable y muy servicial! 100% recomendado!“
“Definitely a 5/5 experience overall. My wife and I ordered:- Mushroom Choriqueso: the chips it came with were freshly delicious. The size of the bowl the dip came in was just right. The dip was not too oily. Also came with a small salsa, though it needed something more solid in it.- Dos Gringas (al pastor tacos): the highlight were the tortillas - perfection! Lots of meat. Lots of delicious sauce though a bit too much- Mexican Kale Salad: I’d say this salad is more American than Mexican. For my wife this dish was perfect though for me it was too subtle, though still very good- El Verde mocktail - perfection & refreshing. Try it- Chef Jose’s flan with rompope - seriously the best flan ever. You can taste the alcohol from the rompope, which complements the flan. A serious must try!Our server was great, though they overall were grabbing our old dishes too quickly. The place has nice private booths.“
“(Translated by Google) I love it, everything tastes very good, the birria, the menudo, the quesabirrias.... ? everything is delicious. They serve quickly and you can talk to save your order because everything ends early because of how delicious it is.(Original)Me encanta, tiene muy buen sabor todo, la birria, el menudo, las quesabirrias.... ? delicioso todo.Atienden rápido y puedes hablar para apartar tu orden porq todo se acaba temprano de lo rico que esta.“
“First time eating here was delicious ? great ? taste ? on my food tostadas de camarón ? where fire ?.. my boyfriend fish ? tacos ? where fire ? as well .. my shrimp ? cocktail ? was tasty ?… I would definitely recommend it .. there’s plenty of parking ?️ the agua fresca de jamaica so yummy ?…“
“In town from Texas, and these might be the best pastor tacos I've had in a very long time.. So good I came back the next day. Good prices, the red salsa is delicious, all the right condiments, cebolla, cilantro, rabano, ? the horchata was very refreshing, and they made our order super fast ? Def coming back on future trips to LA (AND THEYRE OPEN LATE!!)“
“I'm writing an update, after having not visited in 7 years. Things have changed greatly. The front has been renovated to include a bar seating area. There is still a small rear dining room. The patio out front has been covered and new seating installed. Parking is still a headache. I dropped a star because they took my favorite pescado ranchero off the menu. Everything is still tasty as ever. Prices have gone up, but that is the case most everywhere these days.“
“I stopped by this evening with my sister in law after a Dr. Appt down the street when putting gas I could smell the cooking. I ordered 3 tacos and champurado basic of asada my sister n law ordered 2 de tripas and 1 lengua and a large jaimica. Wow the food was really really delicious like it was made from your home kitchen very tasteful. The service was very fast and they were polite and helpful. I am definitely coming back even though I'm about 30 min away it's worth it. They are located on Redondo and Vermount Gardena.“
“Absolutely delicious and great service! You can pick two meats in a burrito which was music to my ears and my carne asada and el pastor burrito was amazing (and huge). If you are in the area, stop here, and apparently you can order ahead as well.“
“Great food and service! I believe it's family owned and operated. Easy to miss, it's not a large restaurant and kind of hidden with surrounding businesses. The first time I had chicken tamales take out, delicious! Couldn't wait to go back. Next time,I had the combination of tacos, tamales, rice and beans. I get something different every time and have not been disappointed! Just writing this review makes my mouth water!“
“We stopped here for coffee and dessert, the place is a bit old and needs to be cleaned and dusted, in general the restaurant is cozy, there are only three tables inside but more seating is available outside, but if you stay outside be prepared to smell smoking or weed from people passing by. We ordered Expresso and sweet bread, the coffee was really good and the bread was okay, not really amazing, lots of pictures on the wall from famous people, specially Jeni Rivera, but this area is dirty and definitely should be cleaned. The restroom is clean and lots of free parking is available.“
“Great, quick spot for Mexican food in Hermosa Beach! Got the Asada Nachos for only $11.50. The nachos came with plenty of meat, cheese, guacamole, and salsa. Some of the best nachos I've had in awhile and for a price you can't beat!“
“Carneceria (meat market) chicken, beef, pork, wings. Marinated and non marinated. Fresh hot food bar. tacos, burritos, ceviche. Fresh Mexican drinks, Mexican sodas and variety of Mexican candy. Only thing it's missing are Mariachis. My go to favorite is the marinated carbs asada and marinated chicken. Those two meats chopped and served in tacos will make your party complete.“
“Finally tried this spot out a few months back and it's now a 3-4 visits/month kinda place for us. Food is fresh, hot, not greasy, and not over salted. Love their fresh corn tortillas, portions are solid, salsas are on point, and service is friendly and efficient!“
“We were overwhelmed by how delicious our meals were that I forgot to take pictures! I ate the best carne asada torta of all time! The meat was so tender and the flavowas so spot on that I absolutely recommend everyone to try it. I was hesitant to order a torta with asada meat because you can usually expect the meat to be a bit tough or have a measly meat to bread ratio. Not the case here. I made sure to compliment the chef! We also ordered the asada taco and the Mexican pizza. We all loved our dishes. The staff were really sweet and attentive. They were so kind and made my 4 year old his own little quesadilla plate. The location is pretty small. Only about 3 main seating areas. They were really busy with takeout orders. Street parking is limited and is metered. Plan aheadParking: Metered parking. Limited street parking.“
“Came here for the first time with my godbrother and family who come here all the time. Had told me to try the wings and shrimp quesadilla. O...M...G! DELICIOUS! The food was delicious and the service was great. We were a large party and everyone's order was correct. I was impressed. I will definitely be back!“
“I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The cozy atmosphere, the welcoming staff, and the exceptional cuisine combined to create a perfect evening. The menu was a delightful blend of traditional and modern dishes, each executed with finesse. The presentation was artful, and the taste was simply sublime. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.“
“easily the best Mexican restaurant we've eaten at, and that includes the time we lived here in the 90s when there was a place down the street on 2nd St in Hermosa that blew everyone else away at the time. The guys are super friendly, the food is the best, the chips don't come in a bag like they do elsewhere, they showed me fresh ones waiting to be cooked up, the prices are really cheap for what you would pay elsewhere, while I ate there were people queuing (lining) out the door for pickups. It's a long way from Australia, but trust me I'll be back here for sure next time we're in Southern California, and oh loved the different bank notes from around the world on the wall!“
“I have eaten here at least ten times over the years. My favorites are the barbacoa torta and keto tacos. The place is small. I have never eaten there which why atmosphere is only four stars.Service is usually good but there was a couple times they made me wait after calling in an order. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this place.“
“Love El Amigo! There are a few locations around the South Bay. This one is a little snack just under the 405. A few tables for indoor seating and a few additional outside in a shaded outdoor area. The tacos are a staple in the workday lunch rotation, and the fellas working the register are always fast and efficient. Food comes out very quickly even for giant taco orders. Chips and salsa (has a decent heat) come with the meal! The parking lot is very small and the neighborhood parking is a bit tight, but there are street spots if you're willing to walk a block or so.“
“Coni has my Heart. What a delicious place to eat some delicious seafood. Everything is authentic and fresh..their service is very good and plates are a nice size. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants fresh seafood that tastes delicious I also really like that it's a small restaurant and we try and support local Businesses .“
“I had to try the red meat burrito, I was told it was way better than Ramona's and it sure was! Prices are decent, the line is pretty long, bring your Spanish speaking skills with you (makes ordering easier), and order you a red meat burrito. I will definitely try the green meat burrito next time. I recommend.“
“Excellent service, good size burrito. Not too small and not too big. The only thing is I wish it had a just a little more bacon strip bits. I definitely reccomend this location for breakfast. It also had good coffee. Oh and hazelnut and French vanilla creamer, some breakfast locations don't carry them and I'm glad they did.“

“Wet burrito with Al Pastor was enough for two people. Chips fresh and extra crunchy. Friendly and fast, looks like a favorite for locals.Parking: In residential neighborhood, but street parking is free.Kid-friendliness: Clean and bright dining space“
“Great authentic Mexican food. Fantastic views right on the beach. Great service. Reasonable prices. You'd never expect such an authentic family run place right on the beach, but I'm very glad we stopped in and enjoyed lunch. Such a pleasant surprise! They're tamale was amazing!!! A must order. Fresh made chips for the table, decent salsa, delicious guac! The chicken in the enchilada could have used more seasoning within the enchilada, but that is my only complaint and it's being picky.“
“Sweet hole in the wall place. Super friendly service. Fresh chips and super delicious salsa. Tacos al pastor were amazing- spicy and savory. At some places, beans and rice are an afterthought. Here they are a worthy side. It's not fancy, but this place is worth a stop!“
“My wife and I love the Birria Ramen!! We come here on Wednesdays before going to Bible Study. It is a very small restaurant. Don't let that be a deterrant!!! The bowl is hearty and perfectly filling on a chilly evening. You can add a hot sauce if you lean toward spicing it up. There is a surprising amount shredded beef that completes the wonderful mixture!! The employees are kind and attentive.“
