“JC Bruno is more than a restaurant, it’s a relationship. It’s now my #1 spot, and I’d recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for great food, genuine people, and unforgettable service! If you’re looking for a go-to restaurant that feels like your favorite local spot and your second home, JC Bruno is it. I truly mean when I say that Marcela, the owner, is the soul of this place, and she has completely redefined what true hospitality means in today’s world. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted not just by a friendly staff, but by people who genuinely care. Marcela herself is always around, and what makes her so special is that she doesn’t act like a distant owner, but rather you feel like you’re planning something with a longtime friend. She’ll chat with you, laugh with you, and most importantly, she stands by you to help plan your perfect experience, whether you’re organizing a small dinner or a full-blown celebration. What blew me away most was how flexible she is. JC Bruno’s menu is already this amazing fusion of European, Mediterranean, and other international flavors, but if there’s something special you want that’s not listed? Just ask. Marcela will go out of her way to make it happen. That kind of flexibility is almost unheard of these days. I’ve worked with many restaurants for events and special dinners, but working with Marcela is different because she treats you like a partner, not a transaction. She’ll talk through your vision, offer smart suggestions, and help you figure out the best possible setup for your group. The way she collaborates with you makes it fun and stress-free. It’s rare to find a place where the owner is this involved and down-to-earth.”
“Love this place. They take really good care of my deafblind father who also loves their food. It's common to have the same people providing great service on every visit.”
“If definitely satisfied the craving for indian food. My boyfriend and i have nut allergies and the staff was very attentive and made sure there would be no cross contamination. The chicken vindaloo was great paired with the garlic naan and the complimentary rice they serve you. The chana masala was decent but not my favorite that i’ve tried. Overall the service was great and the food was good and comes close to my favorite indian spot in north beach. Will definitely be back!”

“This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the Bay Area. One of the reasons is because they have a good selection of banchans. They offer a small fish that comes as a standard banchan.
We ordered Soondubu seafood and fish roe with Japchae as an appetizer. The Japchae was on the sweeter side and I wish it had a little more char flavor. Overall still a good dish. Portion sizes are generous. The soondubu’s had plenty of addins.”
“Serving authentic Filipino food. All staff is very accommodating. The place gives nothing but good vibes and great food. A must visit Filipino restaurant in San Francisco California. 10 out of 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸🇵🇭”
“Omakase tasting menu was amazing. This was my second time here, and it seemed even better than the first. The colours and plating were outstanding. The flavour profiles were delectable and riddled with subtle, yet distinct notes erupting from the aftertaste. It was surprise after surprise of flavourful tones. I was grateful that I selected the 7-course menu. My significant other had to surrender at dessert. The 10-course menu would have been too much (l experienced it the first time here). Overall, a memory to relish and cherish. Only one point of deduction: one of the desserts ordered was incorrect, but my spouse had already surrendered, it did not matter. Great job!”

“If you land in SFO and you want some amazing authentic Mexican food within range THIS IS THE SPOT!
Neighborhood place, super friendly staff, and the food is delicious!!
I recently ordered the steak and shrimp quesadillas (pictured) for the first time but the tacos and burritos are 👑 !”
“Phil Taylor is a wonderful Host. He cordially welcomes songwriters from all over the globe to perform songs in the round style. It’s a great way to share one’s music and meet other like minded folks. I had a wonderful time 1/7/23. Looking forward to a future opportunity to perform my music. I definitely recommend this group.”

“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!”
“Stopped in to Newell's for a pre dinner drink. We just kind of stumbled on this place. How does one know where to get a good cocktail when you're an out of towner!?
Well let me tell you about Newell's.. The bartender was fabulous! She wasn't even sure what a certain drink was but she more than nailed it! It was right on! My Cadillac margarita was potent! I managed to wobble out of there to my next destination.. but barely! They do not serve food but our sweet bartender brought popcorn in order to save me embarrassment! It was a fun experience and I think I may have to return!”
“My husband & often dine here due to the service and food. Every time we walk in w ears greeted and they are always so nice and food being delicious is the cherry on top”
“A no-frills place for authentic comfort Chinese (and a few other non-Chinese but still Asian) dishes that is very convenient for those arriving late at SFO airport (they open past midnight). Walking distance to a few hotels or to a bus stop along El Camino Real, which passes several hotels in the area. I ordered the beef rib pho and fried oysters. I was satisfied with my meal and the beef rib was tender and flavorful. If ever I arrive in SF late at night on another trip, I won't hesitate to eat at this restaurant again.”

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out). The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will be back.”

“Excellent food served by volunteers who are part of this wonderful monastery. This is a nonprofit organization. You can also go in and meditate. The food is delicious. The volunteers are kind and helpful. They accept Venmo or cash donations for the food. Outdoor seating available. Extensive menu. Pork and Thai coffee was delicious!!!”
“Best pizza ever! I’ve been eating totos for 50 years! In my opinion it’s THE BEST!”
“We’ve both dined in and done takeout couple times, and every time the food has been absolutely delicious! Super flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. It’s family-owned and you can really feel the care in both the food and service. It’s one of our favorite places now !”

“This restaurant has very good food all around. The tadyang was crispy but moist. Their bangus sisig was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t dry. They even serve a little bit of soup to start and whet your appetite. The service was also very attentive. We’ll be back to try more.”
“Authentic chinese food. We ordered pork dumpling with green chives, shanghai soup dumplings, beef roll pancake, pork potstickers, spicy beef tendon, and fried mashed taro cake. Except the fried mashed taro cake, everything was delicious.
The shell of the taro cake was a bit tough for us to chew, I wish they make it with some other kind of pastry wrap or best yet just oil fry some taro filled buns .”
“Family run spot in San Bruno. Located on El Camino Real, it's easy to miss if you drive by.
The restaurant itself isn't too large, but there's seating for groups of all sizes. The menu is pretty extensive and has a good variety. We ended up getting a sashimi combo, one roll, and the lamb appetizer.
The sashimi itself was pretty tasty with no fishy smell. We got a good variety of sashimi, but my favorite was the salmon. The lamb was delicious as well and we're a good size.
Service is good and the staff is nice. We got our drinks refilled often without us asking.”
“Good taco salads here in their San Bruno location. It was $11.29 + $2.49 for the added steak. That crispy flicky taco shell revivals the best of them. Free chips! If you want to mix it up, their mango salsa is a very unique La Salsa thing. They tend to get rid of the mango salsa during the holiday season though. Plenty of seats and service was excellent for a counter ordering restaurant. The cashier is also the chef.
About La Salsa, I used to visit their SF Battery St. location near my office in the 2000's before they closed. Also previously in the 2000's, I used to visit their Mountain View location every other Saturday before going to Fry's Electronics. Their food is healthy if you order the right things.”
“Ordered pickup for my family this afternoon and we were blown away by our dishes. The garlic five spice chicken noodles were impeccable. The curry soup with chicken was scrumptious. And the barbecue pork rolls were to die for. We will definitely be coming back again.”
“Wanted to try a new Korean restaurant. This was definitely a hidden jem. We got here around 6:30pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025. There was no waiting and seated us right away. The restaurant seating is spacious with plenty of chair space and legroom. They cook everything for you. It was cooked to perfection. The Kalbi was tender with the perfect seasoning. Their Bonchon is some of the best we have ever tasted. Especially, their Kimchi. We have tried many different brands of Kimchi from Korean supermarkets. This has become our favorite Korean restaurant now.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Super friendly and welcoming staff! Had the bacon and turkey deluxe sandwich on a Dutch crunch roll. Bread came toasted and meat and cheese melted. Was going to save the other half when I saw how huge it was but I shamelessly devoured the whole thing. Cannot wait to be in the area again. Highly recommend.”
“We were visiting friends and decided to eat here. Its a great little gem. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the sever was great. The food didnt take long at all. The place was clean and not too loud.
I noticed quite a bit of locals here which is always a good thing.
I dont know about parking as we took a Waymo here.
I had the enchiladas with green sauce with an extra taco. My wife had the really big burrito. I was able to eat all mine, which was the perfect amount and my wife had to take half the burrito home.
Overall well worth a visit of you like no fuss great food.”
“Sesame chicken was the best in town and very large portions. What sucks is the parking?
Parking: Parking sucks on the street. You have to pay or you’re get a ticket. There’s no free parking only at Starbucks for 10 minutes but everywhere else you have to pay. It’s a big mess for San Bruno.”

“Ricopan impresses with more than its delectable pastries; it stands out for its remarkable community engagement. Each visit feels like a warm embrace, highlighting Rico’s role not just as a bakery but as a community pillar. Their commitment to giving back is evident, making every bite of their exquisite desserts feel even sweeter. Ricopan is truly a beacon of both culinary mastery and community spirit.”
“Pros: Fresh and good food. friendly staff, very affordable Cons: Hard to find a place to park in that part of town.”
“Love their service and their sashimi and sushi. Very good and !”

“This Vietnamese restaurant is worth visiting. The food was savory and mouthwatering. We ordered phō of course, but also the viet time sampler, which includes four delicious items. It was not crowded and wasn’t loud. They have a TV screen showing the food being made, which was different but also entertaining for those of us who love the Food Network.
I cannot express enough how delicious the food was! I will surely be returning here. Enjoy 💕”
“I've been to a couple Shari's locations, mostly up in the northern parts of California and have always had a positive experience and impression. This particular spot was no different and in fact, have not enjoyed a Shari's more than this one location.
The premises are great, yeah, a bit dated, but clean and the views from here are spectacular. It is an easy on & off place from the freeway in a not too congested part of town.
The service was spot on and the food that me and my buddy had was good. Seriously, there was nothing to complain about. And so to those who expected more from a chain restaurant, I don't know what you were envisioning, but I think you'd have to recalibrate your expectations.
These folks did a great job with our food, efficient service and providing a good atmosphere. I'd definitely put this place on my regular rotation now that my friend introduced me to it.
So here's a solid 4-star rating. Good luck Shari's and my best hopes for your continued success.”
“The staff at this branch are wonderful! I took my summer camp group this this iHop, the manager told me they don’t usually take bookings but him and his team when out of their way to accommodate us. From the moment our group set foot into the restaurant to the moment we left the team was attentive, friendly and accommodating. Our very big order was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and the ingredients were fresh and tasty! This experience was amazing and the staff here are amazing”
“Recommended by a friend and I tried this place just now, and IT’S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: the foods’ freshness/portion-wise worth it/prices are reasonable!!! Authentic Chinese Cuisine.
(Take note the name of the place outside will say: Ichi Ramen [former restaurant’s name])
Try this place.”
“Every time I’ve gone there it’s been a great experience! When there’s a line, the employees are super efficient and the wait times are never bad. It’s super fun watching them make the ice cream. I recently went there to get my mom a smoothie and the guy was super nice (I didn’t get his name sadly) I tried a bit of her smoothie (WITH PERMISSION!) and it was delicious. Wonderful place to stop and grab a lil treat while you’re shopping 😊”
“I’ve been to many MANY different Cajun seafood boil spots ALLL over the Bay Area and let me tell u guys… this was the most flavorful more delicious restaurant I’ve ever been to !
I got the Mac n cheese and the shrimp that comes with the sauce . And it was absolutely perfect ! I’ll definitely be going back next week ! And the customer service was also top notch! If u like flavor and great service GO HERE !”
“Great Sunset neighborhood Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Friendly service. Accommodates my spice shy palate. Recently introduced thali lunch boxes perfect for single diners. Reasonable prices.”
Cheap Eats
“I have been here a handful of times, and usually my pit stop for something quick when I am in the area. This location is basically a hole in the mall where you might drive past and not even notice there is a Quickly there. The shop is compact where it is strictly to go only, you can either order from the kiosk or a staff can help you at the counter. Their menu consists of milk tea, slushies, specialty drinks, snacks, etc. The staffs here are well trained and quick with orders. I typically get a milk tea and a popcorn chicken when I make my visits. I recommend this place to all boba enthusiasts, if you are on a limited time or if you just want something quick. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.”
“This is a licensed partner inside of Mollie Stone’s Market. I was greeted as soon as I entered, and found myself inspired to try a new beverage. In addition to my standard double espresso, I ordered a Baridi Mule. This is an iced coffee beverage that warmed my heart. Special thanks to Chris and the shift manager/trainer which was on staff that day. The service was top-tier and the drink was absolutely outstanding. If you have not seen this season‘s additions to the Petes coffee menu. I encourage you to download the app and visit a location. Specifically, this one!”
“A young gentleman took my order for a Chocolate Mood and two pretzels. He warmed the pretzels, brought them to me, and then made my smoothie. When he was blending, someone came from the back and offered to help, but he replied that he was fine. I remember when these tasks were split between different staff members, so I was impressed to see him handle everything so smoothly on his own. I think his name was Calvin. Great job! — well done”
“I didn’t like to eat inside because it’s kind of all and looks not too clean but if you order to go it’s fine. Food is delicious and the Coca Cola is wonderful.
The service depends of whom is taking your order. I have 2 good experiences but the other one was not so good, the lady who was placing my order was rude.
What I liked is that the restaurant is open until 11 and starts the service at 6:30 am”
“I really liked the Binagoongan Rice. The flavor was there. It’s a meal by itaself and the portuon was large.”
“Awesome little joint! It’s called Texas BBQ but it’s actually quite authentic for its Chinese Northwestern / Halal style BBQ and other dishes. Make sure to get the meat burger & lamb skewer & lamb offal soup, so good!”
“Staff was attentive and helpful and the items we ordered were all delicious”

“I came in on (9/1) right before 7 pm with 3 of my friends. It seemed a little busy for a monday…well, it’s labor day. Our server, Betty (i think) made sure to keep bringing us fresh biscuits while we waited on our food. Betty was exceptionally sweet. I think we were her last table but she went out of her way to be nice to us. One of my friends had a togo order and she waited to make sure the burger got to us before she left her shift. she was so genuinely gracious, pleasant and accommodating We all hope she is working the next time we are in. she’s a great server.❤️ we’re already planning our next trip”
