“This restaurant has very good food all around. The tadyang was crispy but moist. Their bangus sisig was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t dry. They even serve a little bit of soup to start and whet your appetite. The service was also very attentive. We’ll be back to try more.“

“Cheap good food. Tapa was bland, rice portions have really gotten smaller. I'd say in the last ten years portion sizes have been cut in half. So if you haven't been there in a long time, maybe order two meats or just two plates per person with a big appetite.
No indoor seating for eating.“

“I ordered the Omnipork Spam & Vegan Egg Garlic Fried Rice Plate. It comes with rice and the spam and folded vegan egg (I believe it's Just Egg) seperate. It's made to order so expect to wait a bit longer for it compared to the dishes on their storefront menu. They even have vegan bubble tea! Both were great to bring on the plane when I know there's not in plane options.“

“I had 2 separate deep cleaning by two different dentist and they both were wonderful in their own right, yet they both had the precision touch known by this dentist team. It is the reason why I come here. I also had a follow-up as well. Great attention to detail. Thank you!“

“This place was one that I have been wanting to try for awhile, we went in and the restaurant itself was beautiful, perfect for a date night or night out with friends. The food itself was really good, the highlights for me were the pancit bihon and the adobo (which had a thick and flavorful sauce). Crispy pata was okay but such a small portion for the price. The calamansi juice was enjoyable but lacked a necessary tartness for me. It felt slightly diluted and maybe too much added sugar. My lola approved of the lumpia as well.
My main take aways from this place were the very high price point(which isn’t too awful considering atmosphere and food quality but still), and the overall service. The service was okay enough to be acceptable but our waiter in short took our order and we never saw her again. The food was brought out by kitchen and our water was refilled by the bartender. The bartender also got our check and boxes. It was pretty slow but I don’t know if our waiter went on break or something but there was a period of time where we wanted to ask for things but we had no waiter and weren’t sure if we were supposed to ask the bartender.
Overall a good spot, would recommend for smaller parties but maybe not the best for accommodating big families with higher maintenance tables.“
“Incredibly authentic Filipino hole-in-the-wall doling out a wide variety of ready-to-go stews and crispy fried specialties (e.g whole fish)Very reasonably priced, generously portioned lunch platters with choice of carbohydrate and two entrees. Highlights include:(i) chicken or pork adobo,(ii) ginataang kalabasa (pumpkin coconut milk curry with fresh veg and seafood), and(iii) lumpia rolled fresh by the house matriarch on-site.Glass-noodle pancit, while tasty, is more of a personal preference choice. An excellent option for Filipino in the Outer Mission/Excelsior — with a very strong, no-frills, friendly vibe from the islands.“

“Laing is delish, torta, beef afritada is good. Pansit bihon a little soggy. I’ll rate Via Mare 4 out 5 stars. Will definitely recommend your place and will comeback to try other dishes. Very polite staff I may add. Keep it up👍🤞“

“I'm fortunate to live in a region of the Bay Area where there are a lot of Filipino restaurants and each of them do so much to sustain the cultural significance of the Philippine population of the area.
For years in having this restaurant as part of my rotation of Filipino cuisine, one of their superpowers is their consistency for delivering good tasting food. Time and time again, I find their offerings to be as good or better than their competitors.
Their service is great and you can count on being warmly greeted by the staff. I also feel that their portions are more generous than their counterparts. So if it's good food you're after, I highly recommend them.
And as is typical of a lot of Filipino joints, decor, atmosphere and aesthetics aren't their thing. As you'll see in the accompanying pictures, this place is about as basic, utilitarian and modest as a place can be, as stripped down as an apartment of newlyweds. But then again, you don't come here for the furniture and art on the walls did you? If you did, you'd be richly disappointed.“

“I went to a Starbread at a different location a few years ago and fell in love with the señiorita bread. I was in San Francisco for a few days and found out there was a Starbread here as well. I wanted to go back and get the bread that I remembered being so good. Well, this place did not disappoint! The señiorita bread was actually better here, it was fresh and sweet and buttery! Because I was traveling back home, I only got 10 for $6 however next time I will be getting a bigger box to bring back home!“

“Whenever I'm grocery shopping here, I make it a point to stop by here. The food is always fresh, and you get service right away. I typically get lechon kawali or the bagnet. My dad loves the crispy chicken skin, or depending on the mood, they get chicharon bulaklak. This time around, my dad tried the crispy bangus.
I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad. The food and service are good.“

“Someone recommended the Goto here, and since we were in the area, we had to give it a try.
My husband and I arrived around 9 PM on a Monday night, and I was surprised by how busy it was for such a late hour. Luckily, we only waited a couple of minutes before being seated, and we were given menus right away.
We weren’t super hungry—just curious to try their Goto (beef tripe rice soup)—so we ordered that along with Lechon Kawali (crispy fried pork belly) on the side. I was hoping they had Tokwa’t Baboy to pair with the Goto, but the Lechon Kawali would have to do. Their menu is quite extensive, but we kept it simple.
Our food arrived after about 15 minutes. Despite how busy it was, our server was very kind and attentive throughout. The Goto was solid—the tripe was impressively tender and made the dish. The Lechon Kawali, however, was a bit underwhelming compared to versions we’ve had at other Filipino spots in our area. It also felt a little pricey, hmmm maybe pork is more expensive in Colma?“

“Where do I start. The food is so flavorful, the staff is so friendly, they remembered me after only going one time. I love the atmosphere! It's just nice and cozy. All the food I tried is delicious, but I'm just obsessed with their pork sisig. And of course they have kareoke! Lots of song options.“

“I've been here a few times, and I recently brought my mom. It's her favorite Filipino restaurant now. We've ordered and enjoyed: lumpia, chopsuey, beefstik tagalog, and pansit miki bihon combo. Our latest visit, we tried the Hawaiian oxtail soup. The meat was tender, and the broth was light and flavorful. And we always get my favorite dessert: mini bibingka, always warm and yummy.“
“Unadulterated Filipino recipes. Very reasonable pricing. Wide variety of choices. Great people behind the counter. Operated & managed according to the values & demeanor of the original founder & owner. And if you were lucky enough to know the lady that's all the recommendation you would ever need.
Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions don't go to a Filipino restaurant. You'll have a difficult time enjoying the food as it should be eaten. If you're willing suspend the rules, for one meal... by all means- go.“

“It’s quite a big place with different sections for group reservations that each have a different kind of ambiance. There are nights where live music from a local band plays or for special events. Food is generally ok, buffet sometimes are not a variety of selection, a good research can help decide if you want to dine here.“
