“One of the best Filipino food to go to if you need a quick fix! Also very friendly staffs. School street in Daly City, CA.“
“Today was my first visit, and I got films, cleaning, and a follow-up appointment to fix/expand two old fillings.
Everybody was very friendly and even sweet. I'm not afraid of going to the dentist, but (like any normal person) I'm not exactly a fan of the whole thing, either. Dr. Yeo and the staff made it as (metaphorically) painless as it could be.“

“Mama Go’s at SFO is such a gem! The Filipino food here is absolutely delicious and comforting, which is rare to find at an airport. I always go for the pancit sotanghon—it’s flavorful, light yet filling, and reminds me of a true homemade dish. The portions are generous, the service is quick (perfect for travelers on the go), and the food quality never disappoints. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I’m flying through San Francisco. Highly recommend if you’re craving something tasty and authentic before your flight!“

“Cheap good food. Tapa was bland, rice portions have really gotten smaller. I'd say in the last ten years portion sizes have been cut in half. So if you haven't been there in a long time, maybe order two meats or just two plates per person with a big appetite.
No indoor seating for eating.“

“I went to a Starbread at a different location a few years ago and fell in love with the señiorita bread. I was in San Francisco for a few days and found out there was a Starbread here as well. I wanted to go back and get the bread that I remembered being so good. Well, this place did not disappoint! The señiorita bread was actually better here, it was fresh and sweet and buttery! Because I was traveling back home, I only got 10 for $6 however next time I will be getting a bigger box to bring back home!“

“Irma's food is delicious and the price point is something that cannot be beat ! Thank you Irma for being a part of my 2020 New Year's Eve celebration ❤❤❤ We will be seeing you in the New Year and Beyond 🙏🙏🙏“
“This is one of those deceivingly small places, but it packs a lot of big bold flavors and hearty meals.
It is a highly efficient mom-n-pop restaurant, with an open kitchen and a food-prep operation in plain sight. Often you'd see fresh dishes poured right into the food warmers directly from the stoves. And with everything out in the open, you have the sense that everything is honest, as simple as a home kitchen.
And in spite of their tiny operation, the selection is ample on any given day in this turo-turo style, so much to pick from, and it seems as if point at anything, even from their shelves, everything is for sale.
These folks are hard working, kind people who try to send you off with as much food they can pack into to-go overflowing plastic containers. They are earnest at what they do. This is a fine example of a small business with big dreams.“

“This was our second visit to Avenida. We decided to return because our first experience was outstanding, but unfortunately, this visit fell short in both food and service. We ordered the beef bulalo, which had good flavor, though the beef shank was not as tender as expected. The pork sisig, which was the highlight of our first visit, was noticeably dry this time. The salmon inasal was enjoyable, especially the garlic kangkong that accompanied it, but the mashed potato on the side felt mismatched with the dish. Service began well but became disappointing as the meal went on. Staff asked if we needed boxes while I was still eating, then proceeded to clear dishes without checking if we were finished. Even the extra rice we planned to take home was removed without asking. The bill was brought promptly, giving the impression that we were being rushed, despite the restaurant not being full and with no guests waiting. A more attentive approach like asking if we were finished before clearing plates, confirming whether we wanted to pack leftovers, or checking if we were ready for the bill would have greatly improved the experience. Sadly, this visit was not as enjoyable as our first, and we may not be returning in the near future.“

“I'm fortunate to live in a region of the Bay Area where there are a lot of Filipino restaurants and each of them do so much to sustain the cultural significance of the Philippine population of the area.
For years in having this restaurant as part of my rotation of Filipino cuisine, one of their superpowers is their consistency for delivering good tasting food. Time and time again, I find their offerings to be as good or better than their competitors.
Their service is great and you can count on being warmly greeted by the staff. I also feel that their portions are more generous than their counterparts. So if it's good food you're after, I highly recommend them.
And as is typical of a lot of Filipino joints, decor, atmosphere and aesthetics aren't their thing. As you'll see in the accompanying pictures, this place is about as basic, utilitarian and modest as a place can be, as stripped down as an apartment of newlyweds. But then again, you don't come here for the furniture and art on the walls did you? If you did, you'd be richly disappointed.“

“Where do I start. The food is so flavorful, the staff is so friendly, they remembered me after only going one time. I love the atmosphere! It's just nice and cozy. All the food I tried is delicious, but I'm just obsessed with their pork sisig. And of course they have kareoke! Lots of song options.“

“I've been here a few times, and I recently brought my mom. It's her favorite Filipino restaurant now. We've ordered and enjoyed: lumpia, chopsuey, beefstik tagalog, and pansit miki bihon combo. Our latest visit, we tried the Hawaiian oxtail soup. The meat was tender, and the broth was light and flavorful. And we always get my favorite dessert: mini bibingka, always warm and yummy.“

“Great small place for Filipino desserts, and I've been a customer for a very long while now. Make sure to bring cash since the place does not take cards. Also, you will have to circle around for parking since this place is concentrated in the neighborhood.“

“Someone recommended the Goto here, and since we were in the area, we had to give it a try.
My husband and I arrived around 9 PM on a Monday night, and I was surprised by how busy it was for such a late hour. Luckily, we only waited a couple of minutes before being seated, and we were given menus right away.
We weren’t super hungry—just curious to try their Goto (beef tripe rice soup)—so we ordered that along with Lechon Kawali (crispy fried pork belly) on the side. I was hoping they had Tokwa’t Baboy to pair with the Goto, but the Lechon Kawali would have to do. Their menu is quite extensive, but we kept it simple.
Our food arrived after about 15 minutes. Despite how busy it was, our server was very kind and attentive throughout. The Goto was solid—the tripe was impressively tender and made the dish. The Lechon Kawali, however, was a bit underwhelming compared to versions we’ve had at other Filipino spots in our area. It also felt a little pricey, hmmm maybe pork is more expensive in Colma?“

“Whenever I'm grocery shopping here, I make it a point to stop by here. The food is always fresh, and you get service right away. I typically get lechon kawali or the bagnet. My dad loves the crispy chicken skin, or depending on the mood, they get chicharon bulaklak. This time around, my dad tried the crispy bangus.
I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad. The food and service are good.“

“This restaurant has very good food all around. The tadyang was crispy but moist. Their bangus sisig was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t dry. They even serve a little bit of soup to start and whet your appetite. The service was also very attentive. We’ll be back to try more.“
