“We attended the 20th annual Celebrate the Craft. It was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the event. The waitstaff at the bar was friendly and provided excellent service.“

“After posting a negative review about the service at this restaurant, they gave me a $50 gift card to go back and try again. Unbelievably, the service was even worse this time around. We were sitting on the patio with our dogs, and the server barely made any appearances. I could see her other tables were getting frustrated, and I believed her when she apologized, saying that she was busy with her inside tables. Clearly management has not adequately staffed this restaurant, and there was never a manager checking on tables on the patio during our prolonged visit. The restaurant was incredibly popular, and I witnessed them turning multiple people away who did not have reservations while we were waiting for our table. Maybe the inside tables get better service? One of the benefits of the restaurant, though, is being able to bring our dogs, so hopefully they will figure out how to staff the patio better in the future.“

“In town for a mini vacation and we were looking for something different than a chain restaurant. Maggie's has a wonderful large menu that includes traditional meals with a twist. I had traditional French toast with eggs and homemade sausage links. My son had a very delicious, very unique eggs Benedict dish made with carne asada. Will definitely go back when we're in the area. “My roommate and I have been coming here for a while, it's easily one of our favorite regular spots. The atmosphere is stylish and gives off great vibes and always feels welcoming. The food is always fresh coming from local California farms. The drink menu is solid with all of the staples and some with added twists. The owners Chris and Jenn are amazing, they and their staff are always kind and provide incredible service. Other points to consider are the burger of the month, a rotating culinary delight often themed and always delicious, and the establishment holds many different events from art shows, drink and paint, trivia and so many others. Honestly, it's always a great place with friendly people. Chris and Jenn are leaders in the community and work to not only provide delicious food, and a great experience but also work hard to make the community better. Would recommend, and do recommend to everyone and anyone. 5/5 stars.“

“I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints! The smash burgers are always flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Not greasy and heavy. The fries and onion rings are just as delicious—crispy, golden, and the perfect sides to go with the burgers. My 5 year old loves the burgers too. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes each visit even better. I also really enjoy the cute outdoor seating area; it’s such a nice spot to relax and enjoy the food. One of my go-to places for burgers.“

“All the food here is wildly good, even if I’m biased to familiar flavors, which is what I found in their Scorchin’ Tots! “Hodad’s!! It's an iconic burger joint in Ocean Beach, but even if it wasn't, the burgers are fantastic! The onion rings are definitely worth the upcharge. And it's a great value, too. You will probably have to wait in line to be seated, but it's worth it. And you can see some really interesting characters on Newport Avenue. Try going during an off time, if you don't want to wait. The food is freshly prepared. 100% recommend!“

“This was the perfect little place near the fishing docks and on the harbor. We were at a conference at the Manchester Hyatt, and it was definitely worth the walk to come eat here. “Trying out burgers and saw this place came highly recommended. We got various burgers, one with an impossible patty, onion rings, plain chicken wings, corn dog, kids grilled cheese and chocolate shake.

Their burgers look great. However besides the toppings they add to them, the patties are rather bland. There is no seasoning on them at all. I really don’t understand this trend of not seasoning the patties. Not even salt. They also look like they may be pre-formed patties. They all looked exactly the same.

The fries are awesome. Our favorite type, battered. The onion rings are crispy, fat and tasty. The chicken wings are ok, sauce would have made them better but I wanted to try them plain first. No seasoning on those either, but deep fried and crispy.
Kids grilled cheese was just a burger bun with melted cheese. Very boring and both my kids weren’t impressed. Corn dog was standard frozen fare, but cooked well and tasted fine.
Chocolate shake was good, my daughter said it didn’t taste like they just added chocolate syrup to vanilla ice cream.
Over all it was okay. No one was left unsatisfied (after the corn dog was ordered after that lousy grilled cheese!). Unfortunately, probably won’t be coming back. Unless it’s just to get fries or onion rings and maybe to try their chicken sandwiches or sauced wings if we are in the area.“
