“Great food and service. I highly recommend this place for date night, family and friends. The only downside is parking is hard to come by in this neighborhood.“

“Could not take a vacation in USA without eating BBQ. Memphis Minnie’s was everything we expected. Good American style bbq. out of the box slaw and tasteful moist meat. If you’re in San Francisco this is a must visit place.“

“Respectable Korean bbq, good cuts of meat, nice sides, friendly staff, and nice that it's a little bit off of the beaten path and so usually it's not as crowded as other places. The spicy Ribeye is excellent.
This is not an all-you-can-eat establishment so be warned. But overall really good food.
Note: I've never had Korean TERRA beer before, but man, it went perfect with the meal!“

“I almost NEVER leave reviews but I have to after eating here. The owner and chef, Johnnie, was up front and went over some of the different options to chose from. He was absolutely awesome! We settled on a chicken parm sandwich with bbq chips, the fried chicken with ginger rice, and my son had the pastrami fries. We all LOVED our food. My wife let me have a bite of her chicken parm and it was one of these I have ever had. I will definitely be going back and hopefully I can sit on their back patio and enjoy some more food. Highly recommend!!“

“Overall rating: 4.5/5
Delicious skewers, would definitely come back!
I really liked:
- Lamb Skewer
- Lamb Rib (not the large one, was a little salty but very good)
Pretty good:
- Chicken Skin Skewer
- Chicken Heart Skewer
- Roasted Eggplant
- Smashed Cucumber
- Boiled Potatoes w/ Chili Sauce
Would probably not order again:
- Beef Skewer — Perfectly fine, but not as fatty / tasty as the Lamb Skewer.
- Pork Belly Skewer
- Fried Bun — Pretty crispy outside and much larger than a typical fried bun, my preference is just smaller buns.
- Pancake w/ Beef and Sliced Beef in Chili Sauce — Slightly on the sweeter side.“

“WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!! Smokin D's BBQ far exceeded my expectations when providing super delicious Southern food for my brother's memorial! I would give them 5+ stars if I could! First, owners Daniel and Lareina met with me at the venue a few weeks in advance and carefully went over every detail of each dish that I wanted. Since I wasn't sure if our guests could eat spicy food, they took out the jalapeños from the mini cornbread muffins and any spice from the other dishes I wanted. When I talked about wanting a sweeter coleslaw, Daniel asked if I wanted KFC-style coleslaw, which was exactly what I was looking for. Second, on the day of the memorial, Daniel and Lareina arrived on time with all of the hot and cold food ready to go. All I had to do was show them where to place the trays. Third, after our guests left, Daniel and Lareina were very quick to pick up all of their equipment, which meant that I could go home earlier than expected. Most importantly, all of our guests absolutely RAVED about all of the food, especially about the smoked pulled pork and cornbread muffins!!! In fact, many sent me texts later saying that the food was a "huge hit" and asking me for the company's name, which I was pleased to provide. If any friend wants catered BBQ for their parties, I will recommend Smokin D's BBQ in SF in a heartbeat! SIMPLY AWESOME!!!“

“Mashita Galbi Jjim, located on Polk Street in San Francisco, is a cozy Korean eatery known for its signature dish, the galbi jjim (braised short ribs). This dish, priced at $66, is a standout. It features tender short ribs served in a bubbling pot, accompanied by carrots, tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes), and a melted cheese topping caramelized with a blowtorch. It’s hearty and perfect for sharing, as one order easily feeds three to four people. The plump mandu (dumplings) are also recommended as a complementary side dish.
The atmosphere is informal, making it a great spot for casual dinners. However, the restaurant’s popularity can result in wait times, particularly during peak hours, such as evenings and weekends. Some patrons have noted slower service during busy periods but praised the staff's friendly demeanor despite being overwhelmed. The interior is compact but comfortable, with simple yet functional decor.
Mashita Galbi Jjim is praised for its authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Other menu options include pork tonkatsu and beef plates, but the galbi jjim remains the star. For those seeking a satisfying, shareable meal with bold Korean flavors, this restaurant is a solid choice. If planning to visit during dinner hours, arriving early or expecting a wait is advised.
While some diners have commented on service challenges during peak times, the generous portions and flavorful dishes make it a must-visit for fans of Korean cuisine.“

“Fantastic local spot for Chinese BBQ skewers! Meat skewers are all well spiced, and enoki mushroom, grilled corn, and tofu skin skewers are highlights among vegetable options. Beyond that, grilled squid and grilled sesame flatbread are both tasty too. Highly recommend finishing with fried mantou and condensed milk!“

“Every time I stop by this place,I pick up 1 or 2 of their baked char siu bao. I usually finish them before I can walk 2 or 3 blocks away but hey they're meant to be enjoyed. It's not a typical char siu bao because this one has a sweet soft white crust on top that's almost reminiscent of a pineapple buns top. It costs $2 each and it's worth a try if you want to experience a variant on the char siu bao.
The ladies working there are friendly and efficient. It's a small shop so it's best as a grab and go place.“

“Some of the best BBQ we’ve had in the Bay Area. George helped me out on July 4th for a small family gathering. Everyone loved the food, especially the ribs and green beans.
He told me they also do catering which we will consider for future events!“

“Muguboka is a small Korean restaurant, but the food was clean-tasting and truly delicious. It was the best restaurant I visited during my trip. Although we had to wait for a table because it was so crowded during lunchtime, it was definitely worth the wait. The food also came out quickly after we ordered. If you visit San Francisco, I highly recommend eating at this place.
Since it's in an area with a lot of tourists, it took some time to find parking.“

“Really solidly good Hawaiian food. I had family visiting from France who wanted to try Hawaiian food and they loved it! Especially high praise coming from Parisians used to amazing restaurants. It's a small place and nothing fancy but the food is really, really good. If you haven't been, you should definitely try it!“

“On days when being in the kitchen is a chore; Clement BBQ is a life safer. For a rice box with your choice of white, fried rice, or various fried noodle types, you get to choose two entrees from the cooked foods. All for $9.50. there might be an additional dollar or two for the occasional more expensive fare. It feeds two people easily. Great deal. Two meals and done. No leftovers.“

“We searched 20 min for a parking spot during peak dinner rush. It was worth every minute! Our party of 5 ordered udon, kebabs, BBQ pork, & sizzling Bibimbap. All happy customers & rated it the #1 dinner of our 4 (so far) in San Francisco.“

“Saw this place in Instagram and pinned it to my list to go to in Chinatown.
The menu is extensive and has a little bit for everyone’s craving for the day. You know it’s a good sign when you walk in and you hear the uncs and aunties yappin. It just means this place is authentic !
The Satay Beef Noodle soup was great. It has a spice in it I can’t pinpoint, but it made it unique to any other beef noodle soup I’ve had. I was expecting a taste closer to bun bo hue, but no it’s something different. Still very tasty! The cucumbers innit was a surprise and it worked very well.
The chicken wings came out piping hot and crunchy. The chicken itself didn’t have much flavor tho.
The chow fun is something I’d order again. The beef was cooked with a Smokiness flavor to it.
This spot accepts card for payment, so I am happy that I didn’t have to pull money at an ATM. The staff is very friendly and can give recommendations“
