“This is a one-man show. The owner is also the cook and the waiter. We're all impressed how he got it all done by himself.
The restaurant is spacious and clean. It wasn't crowded when we came. Service was good.
We ordered many different dishes.
- Our favorite was the scrispy rice paper combo ($5.5 each), crap and asparagus soup ($12.5) and chicken wings. I also liked my flan coffee.
- The grilled sate squid was cooked well (not over cooked), the char was nice but we didn't like the squid texture (it's not his fault, I don't think, it's just the squid itself).
- The street corns was decent but it needs a bit more fish sauce and maybe sugar.
Overall, we were happy with our visit and liked our food.“

“As some have already mentioned, a downer is this place is cash only. It's located in a small strip mall with three other tenants but there's ample parking. There's limited varieties and minimal appetizers. We tried their friend spring rolls, and the spring rolls shell were cracked (almost felt as if it was previously fried and then re-fried when you order). The Pho soup was pipping hot with plenty of condiments.
One annoyance was lot of flies that want to share our food.“

“I was surprised how tasty the chicken pho was: rich, satisfying broth with fresh, tasty chicken bits accompanied by all the usual fixings. I even enjoyed the (optional) liver and chicken skin - latter had a pleasantly chewy texture. Perfect comfort food for a cold, rainy day.“
“The food was great. I got the lemongrass beef vermicelli for $15 and my dining companions got the beef, shrimp and egg roll vermicelli bowl, same price. The price appeared to include tax. Most of the meals cost that much and they had a wide variety of meals, much more than the average Vietnamese spot. The entry to the store wasn't super disabled accessible. It seems like they are doing some construction in the parking lot. The owner says he's usually there by 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. and he closes at 8:30 p.m. He appeared to be the only person in the shop. He said he said the hours online from 11:00 to 8:00 for online orders but you can go in in person before that. He accepted an order on the phone without us paying until we got there. He takes cards and cash.“

“The food is good but the service is spotty. We ran out of water and no one came to refill it. We had to waive the waiter down for the check. All in all, the food is good not the service. We ordered the chicken vermicelli and pho. Their meat was fantastic and was delicious.“

“I will eat Bun Bo at Huynh over Hue any day. Besides Beef Vermicelli, Pork Ribs Rice, Mussel Rice and Hue appetizers their other items on the menu are equally good. Today, we have Bun rieu and Vermicelli (glass noodles) Seafood and both soup are just right.“

“I ordered the chicken pho, and it was quite good. While not exceptional, it was flavorful and satisfying. I added extra chicken and received a generous portion. The service was excellent, delivered with a friendly smile.

“My go to spot for catering when it comes to egg rolls and their fried shrimp. Each time I host a party, folks ask where I got them and it's a huge hit! Good alternative other than your average pizza party.
One thing I really appreciate is they always fry everything minutes before your pickup time so it's scorching hot and fresh 🙌🏼“

“Had the yellow noodle combo dry and some hot tea. It was 1045 and they let me stay until after closing (which I find rare in San Jose). The noodles had so many textures and layers of flavors that you can't ignore the complexity of the dish. Nice sauce that gets hit with your dip in the broth. Fresh veggies and noodles.
I spoke to the owner and she was so friendly and professional. You can tell there is a lot of care for the customer and the experience.
Surprised it took me 6 years in the Bay to get to this place. Definitely recommend!“

“I've been wanting to try this place for a while, but the afternoon crowds always deterred me. So, I decided to come early on a Saturday morning, and I'm glad I did! There were plenty of seats available, and the service was quick and efficient.
The menu is simple, but that's what makes it so appealing. The banh cuon was the star of the show. The texture was perfect, and the flavor was even better than I remember from Tay Ho. The bun moc was a delightful surprise. It was simple, but the flavors were so well-balanced.
The restaurant was also very clean, with tables being cleared promptly. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings!“

“I've been going here frequently for dinner with my kids for the past 2 months since they started martial arts in the same plaza. The food is decent and the staff are very friendly. I was surprised that it's not more crowded compared to other pho places. But it could be due to the location.“

“They don't speak much English here. But I love how they just assume you speak Viet. The food was delish. Their nuoc cham (fish sauce vinaigrette) is on the spicier side. 50 for $9 what a deal

“This restaurant is nice and clean. Pho's broth was delicious and rich for most people. As for me, the broth was alright, Fresno pho's broth is better for sure, like pho 9. Combo pho, either thin or thick noodle, is a "must get" if you like the bone rib in your Pho, for appx $17.95 and an extra $6.95 for extra brisket. Vietnamese thick noodles mixed with veggies and chicken were interesting but not my favorite. The seasoning of this dish was mostly from the standard sweet and spicy sauce with a hint of sourness in most vermicelli dry dishes. The steak stir-fried dish was almost perfect. Our first steak dish has a piece of black hair on it but was quickly dressed by the owner, and we got a new dish after 5-10 mins. The steak was juicy and delicous. Flavor on point, and yes, I would get the steak again!! Stir-fried chicken with crisy noodles was alright. It's like eating a sitr fried dish with fried noodles instead of rice. Vietnamese iced coffee was nice and strong. Fried squid was fresh and crunchy, but I could use a little more salt to the seasoning based on my palate. Services were fast and worth it. We didn't have to wait longer than 10 mins for all of the dishes to come. This place definitely received my quality, but not quantity.“

“This place is a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese food! The moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and the smell of fresh herbs and spices made me feel like I was in Vietnam. I ordered the pho and the spring rolls, and both were amazing—the broth was rich and flavorful, and the rolls were fresh and crispy. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, which is always a win. The staff was friendly and attentive, though the service was a bit slow, probably because it was busy. The only downside was that the place is pretty small, so finding a table during peak hours can be a challenge. Also, the parking situation wasn’t great, so I had to circle around for a bit. But honestly, the food more than made up for it. If you’re craving real Vietnamese flavors, this is the spot!
Vegetarian options: Yes, there are a few vegan options on the menu, like vegetable pho and vegan spring rolls, but the selection isn't huge.“

“I went in to get some baguette for my bo kho but forgot this place is cash only and I didn’t have any cash with me. The sale lady was so nice, she said “just come back and pay me tomorrow” with a big smile. I was thankful but a little embarrassed so I respectfully declined her offer but she already told the kitchen lady to give me a longer piece. The other sale lady also said “give her more so she can enjoy her dinner”. Luckily, I found some quarters in my car so I went back in to pay her. Thank you so much for your generosity nice ladies. I will be back to support your business ?“

“Overall super tasty broth, came out super hot up until the last bite. I am only giving one less star because I feel like the meat should be a little bit more quality. It’s was a bit tough and bland. I also got the Thai tea! Cold and refreshing, not super sweet which how I prefer my Thai tea. My total was $25 not including tip.
Staff super friendly especially I was eating alone and they made me feel welcomed.
Overall it’s in a prime location, will come back again when I have to kill time at the dealer and super hungry.“

“This place is great!
It is a low key place with about 12+ tables.
Our table of 4 all ordered the hieu tieu with different noodle combo
It is excellent 9/10 star
We all had the dry type with side of soup. What’s special here is you get up chose up to TWO different noodles and they have 6 GREAT choices.: original rice (banh pho), thin egg wheat noodle, thick flat wheat noodle, clear (taro starch?) noodle, large fresh flat rice, fresh banh canh (large tubular rice noodle)
I specifically had the fat flat wheat noodle and the clear noodle. Nice fresh noodles It is dressed in a nice brown sauce topped with pork meat and 2 quail egg and a large shrimp with some veggies. The flavor was excellent. The broth was also packed with flavor but very light and the pork bone also very clean taste.
Highly recommend!
I also like my other favorite hieu tieu restaurant. They are different but both excellent. This is lighter with great noodles choice.“

“A pretty decent pho place in this area thats accessible around the neighborhood. They have many different types of pho dishes with a small, medium or large that range between $11 and $15. They also have rice plates which aren't too bad and come with a nice soup as well as a salad. The cube steak that I ordered kind of felt a little dry and tasted flat, but as I poured some of the sauce onto the rice, it made it a little bit better. I really like the chicken soup they had on the side which made it nice. This place doesn't get too busy so it's easy to find a place to sit down. And apparently I guess there used to be more restaurants with this name. However, as far as I can tell, some of the other locations must have closed, but it looks like they got a pretty glowing review from the newspaper years ago! It also has the same owners that have been running this place and they seem to take a lot of pride in running the whole place and make sure you're taken care of even if they don't speak good English! I don't mind trying more of the dishes around and especially maybe the spring rolls they make!“

“One of our comfortable food spot, especially when no one is open in the afternoon.
No 6 is just a bigger portion of no 5. The soup is thick but warm. Full of flavor. The only downside is probably yes you can see there are crab meats but no, you probably won’t be able to taste them anyway but the soup is strong flavored. Make sure you add Chinese donut to it too.
We also love the hot crepe roll during the weekend. Perfect between the crunchiness, favor, and freshness.
Cash only. Tips are appreciated.“

“I love it here. I love their Banh Beo (Steam rice cake) and I usually order 2 orders for myself, the Cha Hue (Steam Sausage), Banh Ram It (Shrimp filled chewy mochi on top of crispy fried dough), and if I’m going with my husband he’ll get the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup).
I think their BBH here is average at best, but I’m strictly here for the appetizers.
HOT TIP: I always order an extra bowl of chicharrones cause I’m a fatty and then as for sate (fried chili in oil) and dunk it in the fish sauce. I let the fried pork skin soak in the sate fish sauce a bit and voila, deliciousness and artery clogging goodness awaits.
I always leave a happy kid.“

“4 stars for food because the taste is inconsistent. The first time I went here the food was delicious! It made me want to go back for more. The meat was tender and flavorful. The pate had a lot of flavor too. Overall the first time was amazing, and great service from Jack.
The 2nd time I went the meat didn't have flavor, like there was no sauce or it wasn't marinated. I'm not sure. It was still tender though. The pate was still great!
Out of the two Bo Ne places I've tried, I prefer this place over the other one because there's more flavor. The other place had no flavor in their pate or meat so it was really plain.
About the location:
This place is inside a food court with NO AC or air circulation, so on a hot day in SJ, you'd be sweating while eating. It can get crowded during lunch time, making it hard to find seating. There is someone there who busses the tables so you don't have to worry about cleaning up.
Service-wise is a hit or miss too but typical of an Asian place. It is what it is. I don't expect much lol.“
