“Best pho place in San Jose !! I’m not even exaggerating. Other places charge the same amount and give way less. This place will give you a big bowl. Customer service was the best I’ve had at any restaurant in all of San Jose !!!!!! Well definitely come back again!!!“

“The food was very delicious and I highly encourage the Villages residents to come support this restaurant. It's cheaper and has more food than what the Village Bistro provides. I'm planning on coming back soon to try out more things.“
“This is one of my family’s favorite restaurants in the world!!! The staff is incredibly friendly and sweet, the food is out of this world, and the presentation is so nice! It has charming outdoor seating and is so cute! We recently moved to this area and were searching for a nice lunch spot when we found this place. The location is a bit hidden, so you won’t see it on the main street, but the food is absolutely amazing. I 100% recommend coming here.“

“I was surprised how tasty the chicken pho was: rich, satisfying broth with fresh, tasty chicken bits accompanied by all the usual fixings. I even enjoyed the (optional) liver and chicken skin - latter had a pleasantly chewy texture. Perfect comfort food for a cold, rainy day.“

“Absolutely amazing pho, super delicious and the beef was perfect too. So yummy and a large portion, super reasonable price! The mango smoothie with boba is also delicious. Very nice service, super fast and nice people. Loved it and want to come back!!“

“We ordered Pho, egg rolls and spring rolls and everything was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and good portions. My only complaint is that we only got one single packet of hoisin sauce. Good thing we had a bottle at home. Definitely recommend“

“A lovely spot for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese food. The dishes are full of flavor and clearly made with care. Portions are just right, and the pricing is more than fair for the quality you get.
The staff are friendly, fast, and attentive, which adds to the overall relaxed and welcoming vibe.
The interior could use some refreshing—the chairs and overall decor feel a bit worn and dated. That said, the experience is still very positive, and the food absolutely makes up for it. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!“

“This is my favorite pho broth in San Jose, hands down, and that says a lot considering the many options here that are way above *ok*. The owner is super friendly, the dining area is clean and comfortable, food quality is fantastic, extensive Vietnamese menu.“

“Ordered a few starters and rice from here for dinner and was surprised with the yummy taste with which they had made vegan food so deliciously. We had ordered spring rolls which were stuffed well and mildly spicy, a perfect combination with fried rice. The other two starters were equally tasty and went well with the rice, particularly the mushrooms.“

“It’s a small restaurant, but nice and clean. The staffs are friendly andextremely helpful in recommendation of the favorite dishes. This place might not gaining popularity yet; but oh my, the food is so fragrant , delicious and tasty. We ordered Bub Bo Hue, Bánh Ram Ít, Banh Xèo, Banh Bot Loc, Bánh Bèo, and we finished them all. It’s our first time at this restaurant and we love it. We strongly recommend to all who love Vietnamese food. We will ne back soon“

“One PHO place in the Bay Area. The Pho House Special is so good. Shrimp (jumble) Garlic noodle is the best. The spring rolls are always good. Very fresh and tasty. Modern Restaurant Concepts insides. Perfect place for private party.“

“This place deserves 5 stars just because of one thing: egg rolls. This is probably my favorite (Vietnamese) egg roll place in the whole Bay Area. They look super simple and just like any other egg roll but once you eat one you can't stop eating them. What makes it even more amazing is that they still taste good even after they become cold. There are so many layers of taste within each bite of the egg roll it's hard to describe the taste. Just go there and buy some egg rolls and judge yourselves. No other egg roll places even come close if we are only taking about taste.
This is operated by the parents of the now closed LP egg rolls so I'm so glad they kept this store open. They also have other interesting snacks but for me egg rolls are why I drive an hour for.
This is not a restaurant so you can't eat inside but order the egg rolls to go and enjoy in your car or your home.
This is a very small strip mall so parking can be difficult.“

“They don't speak much English here. But I love how they just assume you speak Viet. The food was delish. Their nuoc cham (fish sauce vinaigrette) is on the spicier side. 50 for $9 what a deal
Parking: It's a pretty small share lot.“

“I've been going here frequently for dinner with my kids for the past 2 months since they started martial arts in the same plaza. The food is decent and the staff are very friendly. I was surprised that it's not more crowded compared to other pho places. But it could be due to the location.“

“This is one of those places you just want to rate super low so people who don't know stay far away from it. It's that good. Should not be shared with the world because the food is incredible on every level. The more people know the longer the line and the lines are long. Expect a 20 minute wait at least. About the same amount of time to get your drink order.“

“This restaurant is nice and clean. Pho's broth was delicious and rich for most people. As for me, the broth was alright, Fresno pho's broth is better for sure, like pho 9. Combo pho, either thin or thick noodle, is a "must get" if you like the bone rib in your Pho, for appx $17.95 and an extra $6.95 for extra brisket. Vietnamese thick noodles mixed with veggies and chicken were interesting but not my favorite. The seasoning of this dish was mostly from the standard sweet and spicy sauce with a hint of sourness in most vermicelli dry dishes. The steak stir-fried dish was almost perfect. Our first steak dish has a piece of black hair on it but was quickly dressed by the owner, and we got a new dish after 5-10 mins. The steak was juicy and delicous. Flavor on point, and yes, I would get the steak again!! Stir-fried chicken with crisy noodles was alright. It's like eating a sitr fried dish with fried noodles instead of rice. Vietnamese iced coffee was nice and strong. Fried squid was fresh and crunchy, but I could use a little more salt to the seasoning based on my palate. Services were fast and worth it. We didn't have to wait longer than 10 mins for all of the dishes to come. This place definitely received my quality, but not quantity.“

“Lovely customer service, she recommended us her signature dishes. I got number 9 and 11. 9 is bbq pork wrapped in rice roll and 11 is Vietnamese crepe. The crepe has bean sprouts, shrimp and pork inside. So good wrapped in lettuce with the sauce drizzled inside.“

“We came pretty early and the place was quiet; lots of parking in the lot. It was most delicious pork noodle soup I’ve ever had! The soup was clear and non greasy which is uncommon with pork broths. I ordered the H5 soup and the bowls were massive! I was about to explode by the end of it. Staff were incredibly friendly as well and very attentive! Highly recommend!“

“I passed this restaurant all the time but never gave it any through. Being a rainy day, my wife wanted to try it. I had #5 on the menu, WOW !! Just like how mom uses to make it. It's an authentic original flavor from Vietnam. Not the fusion BS food that's pop-up restaurant is doing now a days. When I went to pay the bill, i looked in the kitchen and saw all the cooks were old in their 60s +, I understood why the flavors brought back memories of the pass. Yes, it's $$, but it's about the same as everywhere now.“

“This place is amazing. I am so glad that I found it and now I know where to go when I have to order or dine in Vietnamese. The owner is super sweet and so nice. And the soup is exactly what i needed. Full of nutrition, no grease or useless oils to make it shiny and fresh steamed vegetables. Tofu is super fresh.
This is first time I am reviewing a place while eating, couldn’t wait till I finish my meal!
I am going to be their regular customer. Highly recommend this place!“

“Overall super tasty broth, came out super hot up until the last bite. I am only giving one less star because I feel like the meat should be a little bit more quality. It’s was a bit tough and bland. I also got the Thai tea! Cold and refreshing, not super sweet which how I prefer my Thai tea. My total was $25 not including tip.
Staff super friendly especially I was eating alone and they made me feel welcomed.
Overall it’s in a prime location, will come back again when I have to kill time at the dealer and super hungry.“

“A great lunch @ Com Tam Thanh
If you're in search of an unforgettable Vietnamese dining experience, look no further than Com Tam Thanh .Their vermicelli with grilled pork and Eggrolls are nothing short of a culinary masterpiece, and every bite will transport you to the bustling streets of Vietnam.
From the moment you step into the restaurant you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. I love their vermicelli with Egg rolls and grilled pork. The vermicelli noodles are perfectly cooked, light, and refreshing, providing a delightful base for the dish. The grilled pork is the highlight—juicy, tender, and expertly seasoned with a smoky char that enhances its natural flavors.
Accompanied by fresh herbs, crisp lettuce, and crunchy peanuts, each mouthful is a symphony of textures and tastes. The dipping sauce, a harmonious blend of tangy, sweet, and savory notes, ties everything together in a way that's truly mesmerizing.
In addition to the outstanding food, the service at Com Tam Thanh @ Bascom is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure you have a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Vietnamese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is a place to go !“

“Your local, not-so-hidden gem. If you're into fresh tofu, soy milk, or legit viet snacks, Hung Vuong Tofu is the spot.
Tucked away in an unassuming plaza in San Jose, this place is small but always busy and for good reason.
This no frills spot is basically a grab and go. The service is fast and efficient but don't expect an amazing atmosphere and sit down vibes. This is not what the spot is about.
Their house made tofu is amazing. The silken tofu is sooooo silky. The fried tofu is crispy on the outside and custardy on the inside. Don't forget to grab soy milk, as well.
Overall, this is a great spot to get your tofu and soy milk in San ose.“

“We stumbled into this restaurant while walking through the mall. It’s a fairly large and clean space with a plethora of tables to accommodate customers. Their key dish is the Cambodian style noodle soup which we ordered, dry, with soup on the side. The soup and noodles were quite delicious and I would certainly go back to eat there again.“

“Bowl was small and I was left hungry. The #2 dac biet dry $16.25 is the same as #1 but with an extra bone. There weren't a lot of meat on the bones. It is pointless to get an extra bone. The egg noodles tasted fine and that was the best part of this bowl. The other stuff were boiled and needed the sweet soy sauce on the table to taste good. Service was weak. No water refills and the restaurant was not busy.“

“Bò Né Phú Yên is a solid spot for sizzling Vietnamese steak, offering filet mignon, eggs, pâté, and fresh baguettes on a hot iron plate. The rich flavors and tender meat make it a satisfying meal, and the presentation adds to the experience. The food court setting can be noisy, and seating is limited during busy hours, but the quality of the dish makes up for it.
The portion sizes are fairly generous, making it a filling option for breakfast or lunch. However, some visits can be inconsistent, with slight variations in meat tenderness or seasoning. Despite that, the restaurant remains one of the better choices for Vietnamese sizzling steak in the area, especially for those who enjoy bold flavors and interactive dining experiences.“
