“For years up until now, this place is still very generous with the huge portion sizes that they give, for such a super affordable prices.
The set up and food options are super similar to a Panda Express, but imagine actual authentic Chinese food, with way more variety (example: they have fish options and eggplant while Panda Express does not) and cheaper prices & bigger portions where the to go box barely closes.
My first go to here was the hot and spicy chicken, but I tend to get the hot and spicy fish nowadays, and I don’t eat fish, generally. I’ve always appreciated how their food is no where near as oily as the general Chinese food buffets I used to go to growing up.“

“My personal favorite dish is their House special pan fried noodles. The portion of this was insane, this itself can feed 4 people. Love the vegetables, squid, shrimp,…. on top of the noodles. The toppings are cooked with this slightly thick sauce which drenches the fried noodle making it some parts of it crunchy and some of it soft/soggy. I grew up eating this dish and so I’m almost always ordering this dish.
My second favorite dish is their honey walnut shrimp. This is always a hit at every family dinner I have and so I just had to order it. Their shrimp had a bite to it and a bouncy texture. It was cooked perfectly.
Everything we ordered:
- $20.95 Honey Walnut Shrimps
- $25.95 Beef cubes and scallop with teriyaki sauce
- $24.95 Pickled dried vegetables/Braised pork belly with sweet potato leaves
- $20.95 House special pan fried noodles
- $19.95 Salt and pepper pork chops
- $9.95 Marinated tofu“

“Pho or Yunnan? Yunnan for me. I think it’s healthier. Nothing like a bowl of numbing soup in the winter. The rice noodles go down so nice and the toppings are more elegant in taste and texture. The soup base really takes it. Can’t go wrong with the fish fillets.“

“I have been coming here for years and have always had great service. When I call in my order the lady knows my voice and always asks if I want the mushroom chicken (my usual) or something different. Went today and hadn't been here for months, and she still recognized my voice“

“Don't be fool by it's appearance. It used to be you can dine in before pandemic. However, they offer to go only. Food is very tasty ,and you get a good portion for a decent price. Lunch rice plate is around $9:00,is served until 3:00pm. Credit card accepted. Let's support this tiny place with good food ,good price by a good family always with a smile.??❤️

“Been going to this restaurant for years! Our favorite by the way. Friendly owners, service and home delivery.🥡🥢“
“Very authentic cantonese and other chinese food. There is only one woman working at the counter doing table service and making drinks, which was very impressive and she did excellent service. The yogurt drinks with purple rice were my favorite. We got the crispy noodle with chicken, which was great and not too oily. Everyone seemed to be getting the clay pot and the hand shredded chicken so we have to go back to try that. They also do a fun nine dessert sampler that let us try a lot of things. Great experience, will be back again!“

“The food is quite authentic. I've went there multiple times and the dishes are very consistent. Decent taste, not too much flavor. Just right. Price is relatively affordable too if you are eating with multiple people. I would recommend this place to others.“

“I love the food here. The chowmein isn't as saucy as others I've had, but everything else is great. I still get chowmein, lol. The spicy orange chicken is so good!!!! And after 7pm, you buy 2 plates and get 1 free. Best deal out. The whole family eats with $24 and still have leftovers“

“I come here often when I get buns for friends or family, great price to get a wide assortment of buns to share. I recommend the coconut buns (has custard filling) and baked bbq buns. They have steamed bbq buns if you call ahead. Not the greatest vibe for dining in, I recommend just take out, it can get busy and makes the place feel cramped. Can be sold out of a lot of breads later in the day, so come early or call ahead.“

Vegetarian options: I did not buy a vegetarian option, but if you want vegetarian options then the staff will surely make it for you.
Kid-friendliness: I didn't bring a child, I just brought myself to pick up the food for my nursing staff's birthday party.“

“Things have changed a lot at JL over the past 15 years I’ve been going there, including an updated menu and of course pricing.
In spite of inflation, their prices are still very reasonable especially the lunch specials. Taste and quality have improved dramatically for a joint like this.
Inside the dine in options are limited — just a few small tables usually 1 or 2 people in a rush. Most of us take to go.
Which is fine by me, cos it’s good portions, parking is easy in their small lot, the guy at the counter is super nice, and price and taste are good enough especially for lunch. Love it!“

“Old school dim sum. Good prices. First time here, but have eaten dim sum for a long time. Items ordered: Gai lan, BBQ pork buns baked, pan fried shrimp and chive dumplings, rice roll filled with BBQ pork, Shanghai dumplings. Tasty food. An option we chose was a tea service at the table (<$6), worth it. I saw some remarkable dishes that I will be returning to taste.
It was packed with people and even more in another dining room (mostly Asian people, although there were some Latin, Black and White people as well).
This place is family run and demonstrates that they want to be above your average hole in the wall dim sum house for the inside: fancy curtains, nice chairs, and stage for entertainment, the outside needs some TLC. Good alternative if you don’t want to deal with Chinatown congestion.“

“I have stomach aches from laughing. There is an old lady working there. She is really funny and cute and affectionate, her laugh is really funny, when she laughs you have to laugh too. Because she laughs so beautifully that she spreads a great positive energy around. I definitely want you to meet her, her food is delicious, bon appetit. Don't forget to say bye bye to her, you may have a laughing fit while she says this.????“

“Great place to have a hot noodle soup. Their special rice noodle dishes are the bomb.
They have complementary hot water and hot tea that is self serving. Plenty of room for seating and also very clean. Mostly no waiting time. Plenty of parking“

“1st time there. I have the pig feet soup noodles, the meat is tender n marinated perfectly. My father have the Hainan chicken rice plate; also good. We have the pumpkin fried mochi thingy. ( IDK wat it's called) . I loved that one. The place is pretty crowded for a weekday lunch. Kind of stuffy in there. Will be back.“

“Pretty easy place to pull up, grab food, and be on your way. The selection is varied and the combo plates are a solid price. They are quite generous with the portions and the mains are all quite great. I especially love taking the salt and pepper fish home and throwing them in my air fryer- their batter gets so crispy this way! Service is really friendly.“

“Today, I discovered a Taishan-style restaurant. I haven’t seen it for a long time. It’s the taste of my childhood. You can add your favorite salty soup balls and ingredients according to your own taste. Their steamed rice is also pretty good, nutritious and delicious. Nothing I ordered was too bad, the dishes were rich and colorful, and the service was very good. I will try their rice bowls and skewers next time. The ones ordered by the next table looked very good, and they also have several nourishing soups. I recommend everyone to try it!“
