“Been getting to go here since the old Pleasanton location. The food has always been great and the taste has been the exact same since the old location. While the dine-in area might be a slight downgrade from the old Pleasanton location, I would definitely recommend this place to someone hoping to grab some good Sichuan food in the East Bay.“

“This is literally one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ordered from. First time I tried it I got the lunch special. Got orange chicken and chow mein. Massive portions and delicious flavor. Second time was DoorDash for dinner and there was great attention to detail in the packaging (ex/ lemon chicken had sauce separate and 2 small holes cut in the corner of the box to allow for airflow/crispness in delivery) and large portions once again with the chow mein too. Everything is done right here. Definitely my new go-to spot for Chinese food.“

Everything was delicious. We had the fish fillet in vine pepper broth, sliced beef in hot chili oil, pork blood, beef and tripe in chili soup, wontons in chili oil sauce, and twice-cooked pork.

“Fabulous from the moment we entered. The hostess is so welcoming and Sara our waitress was absolutely delightful fantastic addition to your staff. My Mom is visiting from Montreal and I knew we had to bring her to Lulu's. everything we ate was incredible. The homemade butter bread,the bouillabaisse, surf and turf wagyu tortellini in a lobster sauce. A fun twist for us were the chips in the appetizer selection served with Maytag and short ribs reminded us of a poutine style dish. We could not have finished our meal any better with a chocolate soufflé.“

“Really solid dumpling spot in downtown Walnut Creek. Dumpling Hours has more of a casual, old-school local restaurant vibe, which I personally liked. It is not the kind of place that feels super fancy or overly polished, but that actually made it feel more authentic and comfortable to me.

The food was the best part. The xiao long bao were juicy and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the larger dumplings as well. They were filling without feeling too heavy, and they had that satisfying handmade dumpling texture. One dish that stood out more than I expected was the wood ear mushroom salad. It was fresh, light, and had a nice texture that balanced really well with the dumplings.

Service was pretty typical for a busy dim sum-style restaurant: straightforward, quick, and not overly chatty, but totally fine for the type of place it is. I actually don’t mind that when the food comes out hot and the meal moves smoothly.

Overall, I liked the local feel of the restaurant and would definitely come back when I’m in the mood for xiao long bao and dumplings. It is a nice option to have in Walnut Creek, especially if you want something casual, comforting, and different from the usual downtown restaurant choices.“

A member in our group is a retired chef and said it was the best Chinese dinner he had had for a long time. Just clean Chinese cooking done the way it should be, We all agreed. “I've loved this place for many years now from when it was BBQ 85 and now YYDS99. I really like the new menu change they went through from the beginning of the year. The staff is always incredibly friendly and gives great recommendations!

My partner and I come here pretty often for a comforting Chinese meal as there are usually no wait times and service is fast. I'd definitely recommend trying the skewers and the new clay pot dish they offer now! The prices are reasonable as well for the portion sizes.

Our favorites are Egg Rolls, Won Ton Soup, Sweet and Sour Pork, Broccoli Beef, Cashew Nut Chicken, Mu Shu Chicken, And Combination Chow Mein. The portions are large; we usually take some food home. “My wife and I have been dining at Gold Chopsticks for years and we love it. They have an extensive menu and I love trying all the amazing dishes. You could easily get hooked on their Pot Stickers with their homemade sauce, Wor Won Ton Soup, Sweet & Sour Prawns, Combination Fried Rice, Broccoli Beef, etc. And I really don't know how anybody can beat their Black Pepper Beef Sizzling Platter, it is awesome on so many levels!!!“

Prices are definitely more reasonable for far better food than most of the Chinese restaurants within 10 miles. “This is a long overdue review. I had a huge party at home in June. I ordered and paid three party trays for the party earlier of the day planning to pick up the food at 3pm. Turned out we had too many food and people didn’t come. So I called ten minutes before 3pm, asking to hold off two party trays. Although they prepared the ingredients already, the noodle and veggies were not cooked yet. I picked up the roasted duck on that Sunday only. I ended up picking up the other two trays on two separate days of the following week. I’m so grateful to them being so flexible and understanding. The staff was so kind. Food was delicious. “Best authentic Cantonese dim sum in the CoCo county area! I grew up with dim sum in SF at least once a week with my grandpa and it reminds me of him every time we go. Creek House is family owned and the owners are still working every day, passing down the tradition to their daughter who runs most of the operations. Their baos are super soft and tops are perfectly toasted. Their dim sum and Cantonese dishes are cooked perfectly without being saturated in oil. The bbq pork baos are my absolute favorite and that's coming from the daughter of one of the most well known bakeries in SF (Red A Bakery, since sold when my parents retired). I love this spot because it reminds me of the good ole days :) oh and they serve dim sum at night!!!! BEST THING EVERRRRR“
