“I love this restaurant!! This place is probably my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. They have so many options and everything on the menu is delicious! Their vegan pies are amazing!! They have an extensive brunch menu with the flexibility of adding a pancake or french toast side dish to your order. I love sweet and savory for brunch but I can never finish those huge breakfasts so this place is perfect for me!! On top of that the cafe is so cute and the staff is so friendly. I loved it so much I went twice during my one week stay!“

“A bit hot inside but it's ok. Got lumpia, sweet potato fries, pot sticker, thia tea boba, and milk tea boba with mom. Nice staff. It's great that there's pictures of some of the food and drinks on the windows because you get to see what they have before you come in. Even more pictures near the register. Menus without pictures are kind of boring.“

“Tacos Oscar is such a cool little spot — laid-back vibe, friendly staff, and seriously good tacos. Everything tastes super fresh, with creative toppings and bold flavors. It’s the kind of place you stop by for a quick bite and end up hanging out longer than you planned. Simple, tasty, and totally worth it.“

“Hidden gem for new parents. This place is awesome for lunch. They have a few dishes eat day and they change it up frequently. I’ve never gone and not wanted what I’ve seen - and I’m picky.
Great place to meet up on maternity leave.“

“Elegant, delicious, truly artisan donuts. The unique flavors and beautiful products show off a love for the craft of baking that goes far beyond mere donuts. I highly recommend Doughweime for any time that your sweet tooth is active, but especially for special occasions when you want your desserts to stand out. Awesome!“

“#1 Fan ~ The food is amazingly delicious and healthy at moonbowls. I get a bowl at least twice a week, have turned many friends onto moonbowls, and have even had our staff lunch catered by them. I will say the pickup experience is a little weird but I'm slowly getting used to it. Using Doordash makes it super convenient and helpful. Regardless of the latter, the food taste and quality far outweighs the pickup experience so it is what it is.
Vegetarian options: Do it!!
Dietary restrictions: Most diets should be able to find something on the menu
Parking: This is a pickup location only
Kid-friendliness: Nope, but you can order for them if they like what's on the menu
Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure“

“I've been here a few times and have not been disappointed. Every flavor I've had has been amazing.
My favorite is the key lime cupcake because it has lime curd inside, a graham cracker crust bottom, and lime zest on top. PERFECTION!
A similarly tasty cupcake is the lemon cream pie.
The cookies and cream is also really good.
I also enjoyed the double chocolate flavor.
And the best thing is that they have locations in ATL, so I can have them when I go home!“

“Love, love, loooove this cafe! Nomad is everything that you could ever want in a local neighborhood cafe! They’ve got delicious drinks, incredible food, outstanding service, great vibes, and they know their customers. I’ve been coming here for quite sometime now and I’ve never had a bad experience here.
My ultimate fave: Enjoying their chai latte and a pork chop banh mi on the patio. This combo is a win-win for me every single time. Recently, I’ve branched out of my norm and have become obsessed with their matcha latte and other banh mi’s as well. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything that you try here. It’s always gonna be the bomb.com!
What really seals the deal for me is the excellent customer service. The staff is so sweet and efficient. The owner Bee is an absolute gem! That fact that he remembers me and goes out of his way to say hi even when he’s busy working is truly an honor. I’m writing this review as I’m sitting here on the patio having lunch because I’m just so impressed.
Thank you to Bee and the wonderful staff of Nomad Cafe who make coming here so enjoyable! The neighborhood (and I) truly appreciate you all!“

“If you're a breakfast burrito fan, Southie serves one of the best I've ever had—anywhere. I've eaten great burritos across the Bay and in L.A., and this one easily ranks at the top.
It's perfectly constructed: ripe avocado, fluffy scrambled eggs, cheese, chorizo, and an onion-pasilla pepper relish, all wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. The flavors are bold and balanced, and it’s finished with a smoky chipotle aioli that adds just the right amount of kick.
One of the things I love most is that it doesn’t include potatoes—just pure flavor, no filler. I keep coming back for this burrito, and it never misses.
If you're anywhere near College Ave, it’s more than worth the stop.“

“Always wanted to go to Lever. I work right near here, and I came here on New Year’s Eve.
It is a very cute coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be difficult as it is small and tight, but there is parking in the back.
The coffee was great here. Their lavender ice latte was amazing. I believe they are known for their syrups, and I also got to try their orange rosemary syrup. It was unique, but I think the safe bet is to go with the lavender syrup.
It can get very packed here, and they seem to have a smaller staff. Things could move slow, but be patient as it is worth the wait.
Parking: Limited space so look for parking outside the lot or in the back“

“A friend ordered my dream cake for my 75th birthday party. The Death Star with carrot cake base. The bakery was willing to follow my Grandmother's recipe by adding golden raisins and crushed pineapple. It was beyond delicious! And the extra cake froze beautifully and is still as delicious as when first cut. The bakery did an awesome job replicating the Death Star into a cake. The cake made my birthday and everyone who attended the party thought the cake amazing. I am so grateful to Ladyfingers for making my 75th birthday so memorable. I will never forget my Death Star cake.“

“The very long line of happily waiting customers was the first clue that this place was going to be something special. Then we had the delicious bagel, later we had the yummy vanilla strawberry birthday cake. But the next day we popped the buttermilk biscuits into the oven to warm and WOW... BEST BISCUITS EVER! EVER! We still have a baguette and sandwich rolls waiting, but THANK YOU for making a safe and absolutely delicious place for my celiac daughter to enjoy. ( and me too)“

“The Hidden Cafe is a true gem in Berkeley! The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, with a cozy library-like interior and a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the park. The pastries are delicious, especially the sweet potato brownie and the vegan options. The coffee is excellent, and the Kokuto Latte is a must-try. I especially appreciate the friendly staff and the welcoming ambiance. To elevate the experience even further, I recommend The Hidden Cafe consider using Tuneast to create a unique music space. With Tuneast, you can easily curate playlists and allow customers to vote for their favorite songs, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to this already wonderful cafe.“

“This place serves joy by the cup and happiness by the bite. The coffee? Bold enough to turn any morning around. The tea? A perfect hug in a mug, no matter the weather. And the pastries? Golden, flaky bites of pure magic that might just ruin other desserts for you. The vibe is cozy, the staff is friendly, and my taste buds are still doing a happy dance. 10/10, would abandon my kitchen for this place again.“

“A new contender for the best kalamata olive bread (4/5 Green Stars). It’s Day 3 of Shelterfest, sponsored by Coronavirus, and I was feeling kinda satisfied (i.e., less guilty than yesterday) after making an earnest attempt to work remotely. So I took myself off for an afternoon stroll and, landing in the vicinity of College and Alcatraz Ave, decided to pick up some bread if there was any to be had. La Farine was quiet and there was plenty of bread left, even at 4 pm. (So pop in to support them if you’re in the area!) I usually get their rustic baguette but this time bought a loaf of olive bread. The servers were super friendly and one asked me if I wanted some free pastries. Ya-ha I did! I scuttled home with my bag of goodies and heated up one of the freebies – a chocolate croissant (toaster oven, bake for 3-5 min). The croissant doesn’t look that amazing, I have to admit, but it tasted wonderful. Buttery, flakey pastry and just the right amount of good quality chocolate. Later I had the bread – I’m a big fan of Semifreddi’s Kalamata olive bread so the bar was pretty high. I have to say that it was up there with my favorite bread – it was a little fuller than the Semifreddi’s loaf, but that wasn’t a bad thing as I sometimes feel that I’m eating a lot of air with the latter. In summary, I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed La Farine before because I’ve gone there many a time. I recommend the three things mentioned above and also their Irish soda bread is really good and pretty authentic. I just found out that La Farine started out in this location in 1977 – almost as old as I am, said Bilbo. I'm also giving La Farine 4/5 "green stars" for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons: • It seems that they use conventional white flour and organic whole wheat flour. • Their website is lacking on information on ingredient sourcing (compared to, say Acme). I’d like to know more about their flour, eggs, butter, chocolate, etc. • La Farine donates leftover products to area food banks and senior centers • They also support Bay Area schools and other local causes • Their bags are made from post-consumer recycled paper and printed with water-based inks. • Most of the menu is vegetarian and some of the breads are vegan. “Clean, nourishing food from a local (growing) business. Been getting my dinners from Alab SF for a month or so now and have no intention of stopping.
I especially appreciate that Mikki's meals come in reusable glassware! Most of the other meal-prep services create heaps of plastic waste.“
