“I was here for the AYCE lunch on a slow weekday afternoon and the owner offered me unlimited free chai even though I wasn't doing the buffet and just ordered off the menu. The aloo naan and mango lassi were delightful and the service is so pleasant and prompt. This is my new go to!“

“Have been here a few times now, and Tiya has been consistent with the quality of food and service. I ended up taking their tasting menu everytime so can only comment to those .. and they never disappointment. Being a person of Indian origin, I must say that they have done justice to the flavours of India... a modern take on traditional flavours while maintaining the true essence.“

“Everything was so good! I took my cousin here for her first time trying Indian food, and she loved it. We had the chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, garlic naan, fish pakora, and rice - all delicious and really generous portions. The tikka masala had a rich, buttery flavor, and the chicken curry tasted super fresh and homemade. The naan was soft with just the right amount of garlic. Plus, our waiter was awesome - super friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back!“

“My family and I had an amazing experience at Sunset Indian Cuisine last night. We love trying new places and this was the one which didn't disappointed us. The ambiance was cozy for a relaxed dinner.
The food we had was so delicious. We started with the noodles, which was amazing with less oil. The Juicy Chicken Momo with chutney on the side was incredible. We also ordered Garlic naan, which was soft and warm, Tandoori chicken, Chicken curry, everything was perfect. The service was perfect with friendly and attentive waiter who was knowledgeable about the menu.
We'll definitely be back to try more of their Indian and Nepalese dishes, and we highly recommend this place to others !“

“The combination of cultural food here is great. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had combined with some unique items from Nepal such as dumplings that seem similar to something you would find at a dim sum restaurant. Overall, the food was outstanding, including high quality sag lamb and great naan bread too.
This is a family restaurant and clearly the people running it care very deeply about providing great service and great food.
Prices are very reasonable too. We had an appetizer, two main courses, and one drink each for a total of $68 before tip.“

“Started with warm greetings and complimentary little cups of Dal. Ordered 3 big beautiful meals, got served in under 15 minutes. Momo, chowmein, and biryani, a quintessential Nepali order. All tasted fabulous. Spice levels were offered, a Nepali tongue needs 8+ for mittho spicy levels. Partly because it transported me to 2010s Lhasso restaurant in old baneshwor Kathmandu, I was blown away by the momo platter. Thank you for the pleasant experience, will surely visit again.“

“I had a great experience. The server was probably busy and the one who accommodated me was actually doing dishes. Later, both of them helped me pick a palate. Jhol momo’s jhol was a bit thick for my taste but it did taste wonderful. Very good atmosphere, very good service and tasty food.“

“Of all the Indian restaurants in the Bay Area that I tried, this restaurant has the best food imo. I discovered this place by chance on the way to Napa. After having a full meal, I ordered another meal for takeout because the food was so good. I've been here twice now. It's exceptionally good.“

“The menu covers both Indian and Nepalese dishes. We ordered Tandoori Chicken Kebab, Mutton Kebab, Dal Makhani, Chicken Momos, and Naan. The tandoori chicken and mutton kebabs had a nice smokiness and rich meatiness. The restaurant is also willing to adjust spice levels based on your preference, which is a plus. The chicken momos had a juicy filling and a good texture. The Dal Makhani—a butter-rich lentil dish—was creamy and flavorful. The naan was a bit thick; it would have been better if it were slightly thinner and puffier. We also tried the Nepalese beer, but it wasn’t as good as expected. Overall, the service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.“
“One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!
Staff were beyond warm and welcoming; they shared their culture with us alongside their cuisine.
The butter chicken, mango lassi, gol gappa, chai, and everything else was perfect and in great portion sizes.
10/10, will eat again“

“Visited on a weekday night with a friend. We had the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, papadum and the wings. I also got the mango lassi which was so so good. Everything was so delicious and we've tried a couple of Indian restaurants in SF already -- this was truly outstanding! It was pretty affordable, service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back.“

“We were initially worried that the menu was so huge they couldn't do everything great and – but they did! The four of us ordered something from every part of the menu and everything was delicious and well prepared. We especially appreciated the advice on spiciness – all of us, but one love spicy food, but we were warned that their level of spice is higher than most people‘s comfort level. So we ordered medium, and that was just perfect. We tried the Momo, the tikka masala, roti, samosas, and the delicious chicken sandwich believe it or not. Everything was wonderful. The server seemed new and a little clueless, but very friendly and helpful.“

“Taj is excellent. We order from here all the time. Mainstays like tikka masala are great, as are vegetarian options, such as baingan bhartha or saag paneer. The naan is also very tasty. Highly recommend the tandoori salmon or shrimp curry if you’re looking for a seafood option. It’s all good! Super nice staff is a plus.“

“We stopped there on our way to catch our flight at SF airport. We were short on time and we placed our order. Our server was fantastic helping us to order and we were served our dinner promptly. There was a feeling that all the staff worked together as a team, looking after all the tables not just their own station. That is a sign of true teamwork. We really enjoyed our dinner there. Food and service~ EXCELLENT!“

“Beyond the absolutely delicious and flavorful food (the best I've had in a long time), the service and the kindness of the staff truly blew me away.
I visited quite close to their closing time, and instead of rushing us or making us feel unwelcome, they were incredibly patient and warm. What really exemplified their exceptional hospitality was when they went above and beyond and offered me a complimentary, appreciation cup of coffee as we were finishing up.
This simple, generous gesture speaks volumes about how much they value their customers. It’s clear they are run by genuinely good people. If you want fantastic Indian food served with heart, you must visit! Thank you for a wonderful experience—I will definitely be back!“

“Rose Indian is super delicious. Everything was really tasty and well done. Papadam and chutneys came with the meal and I ordered Mixed Pickles, Coconut Vegetable Curry and Roti. The Curry was complex and very flavorful and paired wonderfully with the Roti, which was also fantastic. Loved the Mixed Pickle and Chutneys and the Papadam was light and crispy without being too oily. Really impressed by everything here. Menu is very clearly labeled with vegan entrees and there are a lot of them. Great service as well. Definitely going back soon.“

“food overall is fantastic. really tasty.
however GF naan is absolutely not safe for celiac. I've tried on three different occasions and suffered gluten exposure symptoms three times. very tasty though.
if they can start preparing their GF naan in a safe way without contamination id come here all the time.“

“I recently visited this Indian restaurant for their buffet, and I was really impressed! The food selection was excellent — a wonderful variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, all rich in authentic flavor. The biryani, butter chicken, and paneer curry were especially delicious, and everything was fresh and nicely presented.
The restaurant maintained a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and the service was quick and attentive. The manager Sue was exceptionally friendly and made sure guests felt welcome, checking in personally to ensure everything was satisfactory.
Overall, it was a great dining experience with amazing food and warm hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family.“

“We’ve moved to different parts of SF and have searched high and low for Indian restaurants that could live up to Tilak. We’ve come close but Tilak is really in a league of its own. The butter chicken is so rich and flavorful, hands down the best in SF. Our favorites are the butter chicken and the biryani, which comes topped with strings of sweet caramelized onions. We alwayslook forward to going back.“

“I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

“This place made the tastiest veggie curry dish - I asked for the Channa Masala extra spicy and they did such a great job! Their garlic naan is very good too. I am not an expert or Indian food aficionado. However, I love the taste of their food and the girl I spoke with over the phone was very sweet!“

“My family and I absolutely love this restaurant! We tried a lot of Indian restaurants all over the Bay Area, but this is, by far, our favorite!
The tandoori is ridiculously good and the nan is so fresh and bubbly! I am vegetarian and the rest of my family eats meat so we always get the curries in vegetarian and chicken. We never have anything left over because it is so insanely good. Tonight we dined in the restaurant for the first time instead of ordering out and it was such a treat! The owner was a complete sweetheart and provided us the best customer service that we have had in a long time. It’s always convenient ordering to our home, but we will surely be back for the warm welcome and delicious food! 🙏🏼❤️“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“We got chhole and pav bhaji. I found the spices and oils were not over the top which is amazing. Bedmi poori with chhole was not oily at all but at the same it it was soft and tasty. Felt like when mom makes something restraunt style. Dahi puri chat was also nice.“

“Long touted as the best Indian kitchen in Marin, this motel restaurant packs more than just flavor, but also some pleasant surprises.
An all-you-can-eat lunch buffet (hooray!), increasingly hard to find anywhere in the Bay Area post-Covid. A window into the kitchen adds to the dining experience, but also indicative of the high-quality standards of food preparation.
Chicken Tandoori is excellently marinated and perfectly chargrilled. Bone-in Lamb Curry, Vegetable Curry, and Butter Chicken are highlights. Tastes are spicy, but subdued and refined.
Worth a stop-in when driving up from the city to Marin. An excellent meal to warm up with after spending the day on a hike or along the coast.“
“Support excellent food and a longtime San Francisco tradition!“

“We had a great meal here on a quiet Tuesday night, and I’d love for more people to know what a gem this spot is! The food was tasty — we had a variety of vegetarian dishes — and the service was super friendly. I loved the calming water feature and a lack of screens in the dining room; the presence of screens seems to be becoming the norm at more casual restaurants. Looking forward to coming here regularly!“

“Amazing place! Everything I order from here is delicious. If you dine in you receive some kind of flat bread with sauces (highly recommended). Ordered fish a few times and it was cooked just right. Lamb meatballs (hydrabati kofta) and chicken tikki masala might be my favorites.“
