“Sushi Hama is honestly the best sushi spot around here. It’s my go-to and still my all-time favorite in the area.

The fish quality is seriously so good — super fresh, clean, and just melts in your mouth. You can really tell they care about what they serve. The sashimi is a must. The cuts are thick and generous, and it just hits every time.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole vibe even better. And the portions? So generous. I always leave completely full and happy.

It’s also the perfect place to grab a glass of sake and just enjoy good food with friends. I’ve brought so many people here and it has never failed. Everyone ends up loving it.

You honestly can’t go wrong with anything, but the Langostino Roll is my absolute favorite. If you go, definitely get that — and don’t skip the sashimi.

“Our party of 20 came in on Christmas Eve and they were able to accommodate us. The food was definitely made with love. Sushi, bento box and ramen was phenomenal!! The (picky) kids got chicken and fries and they loved it as well! Big serving sizes and great prices. Oh, and the playlist was fire. Can’t wait to come back!!“

The staff were so kind and friendly that we instantly felt like regulars, even though we’d just walked in off the street. “Been here a few times. Food has always been good quality. They recently re-did their menu; you get to pick which handrolls you want in their set now which is nice. Since my little one only eats the crab rolls, I can get the 4 piece set with all crab rolls and save a little bit vs buying them individually. Very nice little feature over other handroll places where the sets come with specific handrolls only. Staff and chefs are always nice and friendly and will accommodate preferences. Will definitely keep coming back.“

“This is my favorite sushi place in Long Beach. That being said, it's also the only sushi place that I've been to in Long Beach. I've been three times now though, because I like it so much that I make it a point to come here every time I'm in town.

They're known for the AYCE sushi, but I come back for the quality not just the quantity. It is all very fresh, very well made, and beautifully presented. I'm afraid I might never try another sushi place in this area since I have no reason to look elsewhere.“

“​I drive by this place all the time. It's right off the 405 freeway. And I finally got to try this place. I ordered the #8 Supreme plate. It came with a small lobster tail and Angus steak which were both nice and tender. It also came with fried rice which was good and buttery. It came with mixed vegetables: onions, carrots, and zucchini. I really enjoyed the service here. The guy working the cash register was extremely nice and attentive. He made sure everyone in there was properly taken care of. I really enjoyed this place and I can't wait to come back here and try other items on their menu.“

“Solid 4's all around. We came in at 4pm right when they closed for lunch and they were super generous to still let us eat.
From the outside it's deceiving and looks like a square building and black our windows but inside is really nice. You can sit at the bar style right in front of the sushi chef (we did) or in the dining room.
We had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna and the special roll with Salmon sashimi.
All with great quality and presentation.
Me personally thought it was a touch to spicy and the salmon sashimi was a tougher piece but everything else was great.
The only reason for the 4 stars are for that and the $85 bill afterwards.

“Came here to try 88 Katsu and I’m already planning my next visit. The inside is super clean with plenty of seating, and I loved that you can order directly from a tablet at your table — so easy and convenient.

I got the Jumbo 88 Katsu and wow… it was HUGE. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and definitely left me stuffed. I also tried the cheese katsu and it was so good — melty, savory, and perfectly fried. Everything comes out on a tray with a full spread of sides like kimchi, curry, soup, and different sauces, which made the meal feel extra satisfying. The rice + curry combo was honestly a highlight for me.

I also ordered the zaru udon, which is a cold udon dish. It was light, refreshing, and really tasty — a nice contrast to the heavier katsu. That said, the jumbo katsu completely stole the show.

Overall, in my opinion, this is the best katsu in OC. Great portions, great quality, and a comfortable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Hidden gem in Cypress. I am pretty picky when it comes to Sushi and this place is recommended. Specially their lunch box is amazing. Packaged very neatly and my 9pc salmon sushi lunch box comes with tempura,side dish, miso soup and even few sashimi! Love it. Current owners been here for 2yrs or so and they were very kind. And I am there for pick up for passing by I see regulars there so some already know what is good. They have lots of options so I am going try all of them. Inside is not big but very cozy which is perfect for casual dining. Glad I found this place !“

“I was going back to the yard to part my semi and I thought I’d get something quick to snack on at the corner store but it wasn’t open. The next thing open beside it was LUCKILY Tokyo Grill! I was hungry and I was going to wait til I got home but I decided to get the chicken bowl because I saw it was 9 bucks. I didn’t expect much as I took it to my truck and man was I blown away. The flavor of the chicken was so delicious and the amount of ingredients they put into the bowl is unbelievable. It had green beans pineapple carrot slices cabbage and some other vegetables. I was amazed for how much food they gave me for the plate only being 9 bucks and they put a lot of chicken in there which was a big plus. I didn’t have to dig around for any chicken.That’s why I’m writing this review, hopefully it helps anyone thinking coming to eat here. Oh and I also had really dirty hands and the lady at the cash register which I believe was part owner, gave me some wipes and was really nice. I’m pretty sure their other dishes are great too. I didn’t take a picture of my food because I was really hungry but it’s worth each penny I wasted.“

“I had an amazing experience at the Kobe Gyukatsu restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the service was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming without ever feeling rushed. “This was such an incredible experience, my group sat at the sushi bar and this was all our first times having Omakase. We couldn’t have asked for a better and more delicious experience. The couple that owns this restaurant is so sweet and absolutely incredible with customer service. We felt like we had been coming here for years, and ordered more food at the end of our 12 piece meal bc it was all so delicious and we couldn’t get enough. I think we each got 3 more pieces.
