“Pleasantly surprised to have this experience of flavor, ambiance and service. We normally go to Nico’s or Marlena because of its consistency of flavor and location to home. Viaje is the equivalent and then some. The chef is from Mexico City and is the real deal. The food, starting off with the ceviche 9/10, ribeye appetizer 10/10, branzino 10/10 and then the dessert of the tres leches 10/10. Ok, so you don’t quite believe me, well, try 11/10 for the consume broth for the lamb appetizer!! David was our server recommended we just try the broth since we were so full. We were dipping tortilla chips into the broth like little kids it was so good!! It didn’t matter how full be were!

Food all came out timely and together nice and hot. It’s rare to have everything taste that good from start to finish. Price may be an obstacle for most, but doesn’t break the bank like a Michelin Star place. Viaje is one of those restaurants that need to stay on 2nd St…it is the very best on that strip if not all of Long Beach.“

“As you walk in birds chirp to welcome you in. I ordered the carne en su jugo, it was delicious. Born in Jalisco, and eating this dish at homemade, it definitely hits home! I also tried the red pork pozole and was ok for my standards,but for my American friend it was a 10. The bigest disappointment was the Tamale de Rajas ( cheese with jalapeño slices) it had no cheese, but had tomato, onion and jalapeño. I would not recommend it. Service was excellent, very clean establishment. Only recommendation is to offer a desert, like churro, flan or arroz con Leche. I would come back, I would like to try the albóndigas next time.“

“This place is SO good! I got the breakfast burrito and added cheese and avocado. Omg it was so big I had it for two meals. It was just as amazing for the second meal. Everyone that worked there was so nice, it had such a great family feel. A few customers came in while I was eating outside, and it was clear they were regulars - as i would be if I lived closer! Also, I dont eat meat and there were plenty of options!

The food is good the customer service is good I have no complaints I'm giving it a five-star review prices are excellent you can ask for more there's nothing fishy about it you need to get out and try something and if a place is good of course they're going to have all good reviews I feel sorry for you never seen a good place or tasted good Mexican food and I'm 100% Mexican so get out some try something new unless you're from another nearby restaurant trying to put a negative spin on something but don't revenge is excellent five stars for sure!“

“I have come here multiple times at this point with so many different people and have never been disappointed. My go to is the breakfast burrito. The price is so affordable considering the huge portion sizes. I highly recommend the chorizo, sausage, and bacon burrito. They also have other items like burgers which are also great.“

“Had a really good time with my friend group. The food was really good. I would get the enchiladas again 100%!! The asada tacos are okay. Regular asada tacos. We also got the watermelon hibiscus pitcher to share, but its honestly not strong. Very watered down. The Margarita on the other hand, very strong. I would get that instead. Guac was also very good. Overall I would definitely come back and eat here. The vibe is good, the food is good, the service needed a little help though. There was several times our table needed something and there was no server to be found. Other than that, great spot. I’ll be coming back again when I’m in town.“

They have soups, tacos, and special dishes such as costillitas con nopales. I was left very much happily satisfied. Parking is a nightmare, they have a small lot. It is a mom and pop shop, so please keep that in mind when you arrive. Seating is extremely limited, but they have a couple chairs out front to ensure you're taken care of. Please tip if you can as I'm positive a place like this is not common anymore these days. The ladies who serve and take orders have the most cute uniforms and friendliest of service. Anything upon request!!! Please ask before you do. They have a specific seating order and will be happy to accommodate when you ask! Oh they do serve alcohol, beers and margaritas 😬“

The Green salsa is so tasty/savory. They don't have a kids menu so we ordered the pancake plate that included eggs, hash browns and sausage for our toddler. She also loved it! The coffee stand is unique and I like their selections. Staff were all great.
