“Super friend staff and amazing food! Everyone was so friendly and helpful but, most importantly, the food was SO good! My husband and I both got different omelets and both were so good. We ate until we were beyond stuffed because the food was THAT good! He got a Bloody Mary that was one of the best I’ve had out here and I got a mimosa. Perfect little brunch atmosphere and set up! ❤️ You can not visit Lake Tahoe and pass this honey up!“

“We had a small wedding reception here on August 19. We started in the garden until rain moved in and MacDuffs quickly moved us inside and upstairs. The food and service were excellent. Our waitress was awesome and working with MacDuffs beforehand was great too. We were a party of 18 from Michigan and everyone was very complimentary! Highly recommend!!’“

traditional and family-owned Mexican restaurant. there are six or seven tables to eat inside and they only take cash. super burrito is like a giant burrito and the ingredients are fresh and good quality. it's not a fancy place but I like the vibes of home atmosphere. prices are 20 to 30% lower or even better than other local Mexican restaurants.

“We enjoyed Red Hut for a 'brunch' morning meal. Eggs, hash browns, pancakes, french toast all nice and refills for tea and coffee too. The service was attentive enough and the decor felt traditional and homely which we liked. The portions are large (as expected!) but we were given a box to takeaway our leftovers. Overall - simple fare done well.“

“Best Bakery from the Nevada to South Lake Tahoe, and possibly all over Tahoe! Amazing family run bakery with quality savory and sweet treats! They also catered an amazing desert table this past weekend for a family event. My only complaint is the deserts were so good, they were completely gone by the end of the night and I wasn’t able to take any home. I guess my loss is everyone else’s gain.. next time I’m hiding some for myself.“

“Will start off by saying the food was great! However the hostess was another story. Recwntly had dinner on 8/11/24. The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.“

My Family and I have been going to Tahoe for all of our lives and somehow we have missed this A+ Chinese Restaurant.

We were in the mood to try something new, and we decided on Chinese food. After we did a search on google, Hunan Garden caught our eye. With a wide range of food from hearty soups to flavorful dishes of rice, orange chicken, chow mein, shrimp (tons of different variations) and the list goes on!

The service was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask for drink refills, our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything.

From the time we placed our order to receiving the food was fast. When it comes to portion sizes Hunan Garden doesn’t hold back. We order a variety of things to try out. We are a family of 5 but when the food came, it look like they were serving an army ?. The food tastes as good as it looks. Everything was cooked to perfection!

You can tell the workers have a lot of pride in what they do. Waiters giving A+ service, the cooks making amazing dishes, and to the busser making sure the restaurant is spotless and it was!

“Great local pizza place. We ordered a supreme and cheese pizza and a Caesar salad. We got our order to go and they were fast and the quality of the pizza was good. The lettuce on the Caesar salad was wilted and seemed like it had been sitting in the heat which may have just been us getting it for takeout. The dressing on the salad seemed homemade and we enjoyed it.“

“We came thinking it was a buffet of Chinese food, but it was a fast food small restaurant with few tables. The food was surprisingly very good and cheap, with generous portions, served in foam containers. There was no bells and whistles, with basic service, but the place was simple yet clean, with burning hot delicious Chinese foods. We definitely will come back with our next trip to Lake Tahoe. Yes, we had plenty of left over to take back to the hotel. Parking was ample and right next to the place.“

“This is a fun, family-friendly, dog-friendly place, with an ever-changing selection of fine beers brewed right on site. Seating inside and out.
They have a weekly trivia contest, and sometimes sponsor special events with outside food vendors and various expert artists and craftspeople.“

“Grabbed a sandwich and went to El Dorado Beach for lunch. I got a roast beef with everything on Dutch Crunch. The sandwich was a little bland for my taste. I should have added jalapeños or pepperoncinis for more flavor. Their lemonade was pretty good ?. The sandwich held up well on the ride to the park. I might try a different sandwich next time.“

“Absolutely in love with this restaurant! They are incredibly dog-friendly. We were even able to order a special meal for our pup. The menu has drinks named after the staff’s dogs, which we thought was such a fun touch. The whole place has a cozy, treehouse vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. They took wonderful care of us and even surprised our dog with free treats.

The food was delicious, the service was lightning fast, and despite being busy, they seated our party of five (plus a dog) immediately without a reservation. I’ll be back every time I’m in town!

A few extra notes: parking is limited, but free street parking is available nearby. Plenty of vegetarian options, and you must try their biscuits!! They’re unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!“
