“Panda Express is a fast casual restaurantchain which serves American Chinese cuisine. With approximately 2,000+[5] locations, it is the largest Asian segment restaurant chain in the United States,[6] where it was founded and is mainly located (in addition to other countries and territories in North America and Asia). Panda Express restaurants were traditionally located in shopping mall food courts, but the chain now operates units in many other environments and formats, including stand-alone restaurants, as well as universities, casinos, airports, military bases, amusement parks and other venues.“

“On a Tuesday night 7pm, there is still 15 minute wait. This place is popular. You order off a QR code and the system supports multi user ordering for the same table. The skewers are tasty. I wish the skewers are spicier so next time I will put in an extra request. You get a birthday gift bag if you show your ID on the day of your birthday!“

“The food here was absolutely delicious! The soup was a bit on the sour side, but it actually paired really well with the bamboo shoots and still tasted great. Although the restaurant is supposed to close at 8:30, we went in around 8:15 and had no trouble ordering. It’s really close to AMC, so it’s the perfect spot to fill up before catching a movie. Super satisfying and definitely recommend!“

“Solid food that's centered on a Taiwanese menu but mixed in with a bunch of other Asian cuisines, like Korean Army Stew. They have a super extensive hot pot menu, and the spicy dishes are truly spicy.
Prices are very reasonable and quantities are large. Service is solid too. I'll definitely be coming back!“

“Nothing too special - it’s authentic and tastes great but I wasn’t overly impressed and wouldn’t come out of my way to come here again.
I think my favorite was the beef pancake, it was stuffed with beef and the dough was fresh.“

“Vast menu of vegan Chinese food. Sweet & sour pork had great sauce but meh fake meat, basil eggplant and tofu was excellent, scallion pancakes were crisp and tasty, pot stickers and spring rolls were good, and the vegetable fried rice was truly outstanding. Service was prompt and efficient. Atmosphere very informal with soothing soft music in the background. I’ll definitely go back again.“

“The most memorable: 1) fresh garlic in a bowl on each table for self serve! Super authentic chinese northerners way of eating noodles!! I love it. 2) the texture of size 2 (second thinnest) is mind blowing good for someone like their noodles Al dente. Don’t get the most thinnest in noodle soup unless you like super soggy mushy texure.“

“First I came with my friends. Then I came with my parents and their friends.
This place is so yummy and a hit no matter who you come with.
My favorite to order in order is
1) sweet and sour fried fish
2) sauteed eggplant with fish flavor (idk why it's so good here)
3) house special fish
4) Brown sugar cakes
Everything is good but those are my favorite go to.
The staff are so friendly and kind as well. It's my go to family style restaurant.
Parking: Right in front of the restaurant there's plenty of free parking. I've never had trouble parking here even at peak dinner time on a Saturday night“

“There is a chicken with saliva that is a bit weird, but the other side dishes and noodles are good, and the service attitude is also good. My good friend and I ate for less than 100, two noodles and four dishes, which was great. Support store“

“Received a recommendation from a friend and was very thankful for it. I ordered the Hot Spicy Beef Stew Noodle Soup and the name says it all. The broth has a rich beef flavor with a kick from the spice. But the noodles have a great texture and a wonderful chew. Will definitely be back again!“

“We arrived for an early dinner at 5:45 PM with easy seating and parking available. Was seated quickly and ordered via QR code. We ordered the Large Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish ($27), which came quickly and was piping hot. Fish was tender, vegetables and other ingredients cooked well, very flavorful. They have varying levels of spice for different palates, but the single chili pepper soup was just right for us. Pretty reasonable price for two people in the Bay Area. Would recommend!
Wheelchair accessibility: Someone with a wheelchair should be able to get in. There are no stairs required.“

“First time visiting. Delighted to find a hand-pulled noodle soup place in DT MV.
Noodle portion is good. Would love the width of the flat noodles be half of its current size.
The on-the-house cabbage appetizer could serve w/o jalapeños as my mouth was burning even after I took them out & put the cabbage into my Chef’s Beef noodle soup.
Friendly staff. Glad to see fe/male restrooms.
Frozen dumplings made-to-go.
Will be back to taste other items!“

“This family owned restaurant is a gem. Food is delicious, I highly recommend their handmade pork with Napa cabbage dumplings. They are so good that I buy the frozen ones to enjoy at home. While dining, I can always hear others coming in to purchase them too. Also try the soup dumplings! Authentic Chinese food with great service. The restaurant owner Allen makes you feel right at home.“

“No extra fees or surcharges. Thank you Yan’s Garden for the honest, inclusive menu pricing and please stay fee-free.
We enjoyed the food. Lunch special is a decent deal with a filling portion size. We ordered the Tofu and Black Mushroom a la carte and it was huge, enough for two and a half meals. Salt and Pepper Eggplant appetizer size was also substantial, tasty but somewhat on the salty side.
Outdoor seating: There are a handful of four-top tables outside the storefront, shaded by an awning.“

“I had the shrimp, cod and chicken fried rice. First time I had shrimp w heads on, and it was very good. My favorite was the cod with tofu. The chicken fried rice was a little burnt so after tasting it I was sad I wasn’t able to enjoy this one. Over all I was happy with the service and fresh food.
Vegetarian options: Tried the green beans. They were fresh.“

“The price is low, the food is tasty and the portion is large. We ordered a few and none is very spicy. The whole fish, black bass is very fresh and cooked with flavor. Smoked pork has strong smoke flavor. The husband-wife team is from Sichuan. The chef cooks slowly with care. Our cold beef mixture dish came out last after 40 minutes.“

“I came here with two friends and it was mostly empty at 7:10 pm on a Tuesday night!
Good:
- Food came out fast and it's as good as I remember!
- The egg tofu was so chewy and soft, and savory!
- The veggies here are tasty and healthy
- The fried rice was flavorful and well salted
Bad:
- It was hard to flag down a waiter
- Not a big fan of the salted egg yolk dish in the clay pot - just had a bit too strong of an aftertaste for me
Overall it's a casual place with good Asian food and predictable quality!“

“My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant on Thursday night, and it was a fantastic experience. During dinner, there were only about five tables occupied, making for a relaxed atmosphere. The decor is authentically Japanese, while the playlist had a chill vibe with American pop hits.
We ordered one sake and a few skewers, and I highly recommend trying the Beef Tongue—it’s incredibly tender and flavorful. The other BBQ skewers were also delicious.
Another highlight is the happy hour from 9:30pm to 11:30pm, where you can get buy-one-get-one-free beer.
Overall, I’d rate the food 5/5, drinks 4/5 (the sake was a bit strong for us), and the restaurant itself 5/5 for the ambiance and experience.“

“When the food first came out, it was quick, warm and tasty! However, the next day I ate the leftover for dinner I am quite shock from the amounts of cooking oil. I know that good Chinese food doesn’t need a lot of cooking oil for it to taste good, so I am disappointed by that. I had to throw away the rest of eggplant dish because I am pregnant and isn’t good for me. Although the service and setting/environment was great. I might try again but I will request to limit on the oil. To me it’s more of a Chinese-American food, almost like Panda Express.
The 3 dishes plus 18% tips, appx $75.“

“It is one of the best place to purchase to go Chinese food in Foster City. They always have eight different type of dishes to choose from. Most importantly they are price very reasonably and they always stuff as much as possible into the box.
The flavor of the dishes are your typical authentic American style Chinese food. If you're looking for gourmet Chinese dishes, this is not the place.“

“First time here and it won't be my last. This restaurant had great service with delicious, wonderfully presented Asian dishes. Vast selection of menu items. Beautiful upstairs and downstairs dining room. Great for small or large parties. Bar seating with an extensive collection of wines and some beer.
A little pricey, but that goes without saying if you're located in Menlo Park /Palo Alto Bay Area.
Honestly, the food and service is worth the price though.“

“Friday afternoon business lunch and it wasn't an encouraging start as the restaurant was almost empty with no life upon arrival. Our orders went in smoothly and the food came out in time. Everyone liked their meals as we all went with the lunch special - 3 items. There wasn't anything exceptional but the food was tasty, portion size was good and the server pleasant. Be aware that Open Table reservations may not work - I was told that the system didn't "talk" to the restaurant so I made a phone reservation as well. The review request came 3 days after dining later so I believe that there is a problem as this typically comes the next day. As a destination it appears to be a good place for a quiet lunch as the bustle that I've previously seen at PF Chang's seems to be missing here. It isn't real Chinese food but good for what it is and we were all satisfied.“

“I feel cold little bit, so I needed GOOD CHICKEN SOUP to warm up. Their hotpot soup is made of chicken that has been cooked over 15-20 hours (based on their Manager). Best Soup ever!!
Moreover, the owner came to me personally and warmly asked about the service, as well as their upcoming holiday dish for Mid-Autumn Festival!! Highly Recommend to my friends and ppl here“

“One the best, higher-end Chinese restaurants in Palo Alto. They serve Chinese dishes from all over China, but impressively every dish tastes authentic and delicious. We had Peking duck and pork served with tissue paper thin crepes, cucumber slices and scallions (from China’s capital city), juicy pan fried pork buns and sweet and sour squirrel fish (from the east of China), spicy cabbage stir fry, pig intestines in spicy sauce and beef stir fry (from Sichuan and central China). They carved the duck in front of you and then used the duck carcass to make a very tasty tofu and Napa cabbage soup. The sweet mochi cake dessert was also some of the best I have had in the Bay Area. It’s a very popular restaurant and reservations are recommended. They have a couple of private dining rooms for large parties (at least 10 people). The prices on the higher end for Chinese food, but the taste and the quality of the food absolutely makes up for it.
Parking: Free street or garage parking on the next street
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and kids usually love the buns and Peking duck“

“Ordered Shrimp & Chives (turned out to have pork) dumplings, Chicken & Spinach dumplings, and Beef Roll (there's a Beef Pancake also, so make sure of your order). Took out Mapo Tofu.
Loved the chicken spinach dumplings, which had a dab of sweet sauce and with the table hot sauce (go easy - it's quite spicy), with cucumbers cut thin. They are really great: 5 stars. These guys know how to make dumplings skins!
Beef Rolls were a tad greasy, and the dough was a bit thick. They're a 4 star.
TBD on the Mapo Tofu, but this dish was said to be good by other reviewers.
Kinda hole in the wall and simple strip mall locale. If you're down for a casual atmosphere, it serves.“

“Very Americanized Chinese food. The Chinese chicken salad was very interesting, especially the hot mustard sauce (also btw, not sure why it's called a Chinese salad bc this dish isn't really a thing in China? At least not that I've seen). The Tao Tao beef was tender but a bit too salty for my taste, though it did have a mountain of rice to pair with it. Was a fan of the wonton chips!“

“Family has been going here for authentic HK style dishes for the past 15+ years. Favorite dishes are baked pork chops over rice and the baked hk meat sauce spaghetti ????
Prices have gone way up though so it’s no longer as affordable as it used to be - so we only can go as a treat. 15 years ago we would come here almost once a week.
Now: About $18 for one dish so if you want drinks also, expect $20-30 spend per person“

“As I opened up my plate—packed to the brim with chow mein, orange chicken, and sweet & sour chicken—I was nearly blinded by the golden sparkle of the orange chicken. Unfortunately, in my awe of the orange chicken, I found a short, type 2A strand of hair. I knew this couldn’t have been mine because I have long, thick, luscious, nearly curly hair (somewhere between 2C and 3A). I pulled that jawn out of my food and kept it pushing.I’m not one for formalities, so I was able to move past this. It’s up to you to decide if you’d do the same.Aside from this mishap, the food was deesh, and the service was even better. Will be returning.“

“9/23/2024
The manager contacted me the next day after I posted my original review on 9/14. He was professional and expressed sincerity and apologized. I was impressed how he handles the matter and wanted to make things right and will correct moving forward. Also he does encourage me to help them to address the problems I saw immediately which I think it’s a great attitude and philosophy that business owners shall have.
I would say if you are looking for good quality food for party and family this is still the place to go. Just pay extra attention when you pick up your food.
Thank you Home Eats.
9/14/2024
I ordered 4 party trays last Saturday for my family dinner as I had good experience when I ate at the restaurant a few weeks ago. However the party tray food quality was a big disappointment with lots of $ charged. Here are why:
1. I asked for pick up at 5:30pm. Food were made ready at 5 pm. Clearly it became lukewarm by the time my sister took them home.
2. The salt and pepper fish filet order look like a big tray and half of them are not fish, just fried dough. Felt being cheated and scammed
3. The green beans with soy sauce wasn’t supposed to be spicy and the website picture doesn’t say nor show red hot pepper. However the dishes had tons of red pepper and way too spicy
4. The only two ok dishes are the onions with lamb and fried chicken wings
I will not order any party tray there ever again. I couldn’t address it with the company either as I need to take care of my guests first and I had to apologize to them and sadly no one asked where I get the food either.“

“I have tried many Chinese restaurants and this by far is one of my favorites. Not only do they give you huge portions unlike other Chinese restaurants. Their dishes are delicious they have so much flavor and I've never been let down once. For their spicy dishes I'd order extra spicy because they're regular spicy dishes aren't that spicy to me but I also love spicy food and I'm very tolerant to it. If you've never tried this place you have to try it literally it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Bay areanow next on my list is the Mongolian beef chowmane which I'm sure I won't be disappointed.“
“The boss is so cute! Very funny and heartwarmingQuote: "It doesn't taste good just because everyone's taste is different.""I can't say it's the best, but it's really delicious.""Don't buy too much for your first time here. “I ordered Pork Roujiamo, Pork Scallion Bun and frozen wonton. Although Roujiamo is pretty mediocre, their buns are one of the best I have ever had in the Bay Area. I've been trying to find good pork bun in the area for years and this place is so far the best. The bun filling is so savory, juicy and rich in flavor, pretty typical northern Chinese style. Would definitely come again!
The best scallion pork buns I’ve ever eaten in the Bay Area! The way to prepare stuffing for steamed buns is very northern! The dough is chewy and the meat filling is salty! Highly recommended!“

“Stanford in campus counter style cafe offering a blend of Southeast Asian flavours. One has to lower expectations given that this is within the university and caters to a diverse set of diners, so the tastes are milder vs the local Asian staples. A good representation nonetheless of Asian cuisine. The dining area is soley outdoors but relatively clean and provides a good campus spot to have ones meal and to meet up. No toilets available.
Vegetarian options: Counter style gives you options but ask servers on specific ingredients used
Parking: Stanford University parking system in effect while free parking lots are further situated with the use of free shuttles
Kid-friendliness: Ample options for kid's tastes
Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious seating outdoors but ordering has to be done by counter“
