“My comfort food. Orange chicken, Beijing beef and fried rice. Vegetable roll was superb. The chicken roll was too strongly flavoured with Shao Xing wine. Would have preferred lighter taste. Service was good as staff was patient with me downloading app to get 15% discount. Portion generous.“

“On a Tuesday night 7pm, there is still 15 minute wait. This place is popular. You order off a QR code and the system supports multi user ordering for the same table. The skewers are tasty. I wish the skewers are spicier so next time I will put in an extra request. You get a birthday gift bag if you show your ID on the day of your birthday!“

“The food here was absolutely delicious! The soup was a bit on the sour side, but it actually paired really well with the bamboo shoots and still tasted great. Although the restaurant is supposed to close at 8:30, we went in around 8:15 and had no trouble ordering. It’s really close to AMC, so it’s the perfect spot to fill up before catching a movie. Super satisfying and definitely recommend!“

“Just had a dish of soybean seedling and it was surprisingly good! They had a perfect little crunch on the outside but stayed tender inside. The seasoning was spot-on—a nice savory, garlicky flavor with a hint of spice. It's a great simple side dish, super healthy-tasting, and feels light even when ate lots meats.“

“Nothing too special - it’s authentic and tastes great but I wasn’t overly impressed and wouldn’t come out of my way to come here again.
I think my favorite was the beef pancake, it was stuffed with beef and the dough was fresh.“

“Veggie Garden is one of my absolute favorite vegan Chinese spots, and it’s a place I keep going back to.
One of the best parts is that they can customize everything for allergies and even cater to my Jain dietary restrictions (no onions, no garlic, no potatoes). Since it’s fully vegan, there’s never any concern about hidden ingredients.
I’ve tried a good variety of dishes here, but my favorites are:
• Spring Rolls
• Vegan Hunan Tofu
• Vegan Orange Chicken
• Gobi Manchurian
• Green Thai Curry
• Basil Eggplant
• Basil Fried Rice
I even love passion fruit juice and vegan chocolate raspberry pastry that they offer here.
Every dish is flavorful, satisfying, and made with care. Highly recommend this place whether you’re vegan, Jain, or just someone who loves delicious plant-based food! 🌱🍜“

“First I came with my friends. Then I came with my parents and their friends.
This place is so yummy and a hit no matter who you come with.
My favorite to order in order is
1) sweet and sour fried fish
2) sauteed eggplant with fish flavor (idk why it's so good here)
3) house special fish
4) Brown sugar cakes
Everything is good but those are my favorite go to.
The staff are so friendly and kind as well. It's my go to family style restaurant.
Parking: Right in front of the restaurant there's plenty of free parking. I've never had trouble parking here even at peak dinner time on a Saturday night“

“Very friendly and great service along with good food. We ordered both the langzhu hand pulled noodles which came with thin slices of pork. We also ordered the beef with pickled vegetables which we think has more flavor than the other dish. But both were excellent and the bowls were very large and came to our table a few minutes after we ordered. Service was exceptional with the staff asking several times if we needed anything else. The bathroom was very clean as well. We highly recommend this place.“

“Fried chicken wing - Don't underestimate fried chicken wing, you can taste a good one compared to bad ones and this is one of the best I've had. Good garlic flavor and crispy fried flavor.Baked Spaghetti Bolognese - I was surprised how good this is. They use the good cheese and you can smell it. Crispy cheese on top and the sauce flavor is very good as well.Baked pork chop over rice - The sauce is above average. However, the pork chop could use more marinate, garlic and sesame oil. I think the pork chop they use is pork loin. Using more fatty pork will make it more tender and juicy.Portuguese style baked chicken rice - The flavor of the sauce actually was pretty good but I thought it taste a little sourness. All in all, I'm pretty impressed because I didn't expect it's this good.“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat at in Cupertino.
QQ Noodle is a no frills, causal and quick service place. Don’t let that fool you though. The place is clean and the staff is friendly.
There is a QR code at each table and you scan to place your order. The waiters will then bring your food out to you. The food comes out quick and delicious.
What we ordered:
Liang Pi: This is one of my favorite dishes and not many places make this anymore. QQ Noodles makes my favorite Liang PI and this is a dish I will always order if I see it on the menu in both North Cal and NYC. The noodles are bouncy, the cucumbers refreshing and just the right level of spice. No frills deliciousness.
Sour Mustard and Grass Fish Noodle Soup: I tried it with wide noodle but next time I think I will get the round. The wide noodles are hand pulled which have that great texture and chew. It is done well so there is not a mouthful of dough like some other places. Fish is plentiful and so is the portion of sour mustard.
Large Plate Chicken Noodles (No Bone). Not on their printed menu, this was an option when you scan the QR code. They use chicken thighs and its braised with potato. Flavorful and just the right level of spice thats too spicy but offers a little kick for flavor.
If you are in the neighborhood, stop by for a quick meal. TP tea in the same strip mall is also a wonderful Bubble tea place that makes their drinks with brewed tea.“

“There is a chicken with saliva that is a bit weird, but the other side dishes and noodles are good, and the service attitude is also good. My good friend and I ate for less than 100, two noodles and four dishes, which was great. Support store“

“Town of Dumpling – San Mateo
I’ve lived in San Mateo my whole life and somehow never tried Town of Dumpling until now — no idea how I missed it, but I’m really glad I finally went. The food was seriously delicious. The soup dumplings especially were a standout — super flavorful, juicy, and perfectly done. You could tell everything was made fresh and with care.
Prices were totally fair too, which was a nice surprise given how high quality everything was. It’s just one of those spots that does great food without trying too hard to be “trendy.”
Definitely coming back. Can’t believe I slept on this place for so long.“

“We arrived for an early dinner at 5:45 PM with easy seating and parking available. Was seated quickly and ordered via QR code. We ordered the Large Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish ($27), which came quickly and was piping hot. Fish was tender, vegetables and other ingredients cooked well, very flavorful. They have varying levels of spice for different palates, but the single chili pepper soup was just right for us. Pretty reasonable price for two people in the Bay Area. Would recommend!
Wheelchair accessibility: Someone with a wheelchair should be able to get in. There are no stairs required.“

“When the food first came out, it was quick, warm and tasty! However, the next day I ate the leftover for dinner I am quite shock from the amounts of cooking oil. I know that good Chinese food doesn’t need a lot of cooking oil for it to taste good, so I am disappointed by that. I had to throw away the rest of eggplant dish because I am pregnant and isn’t good for me. Although the service and setting/environment was great. I might try again but I will request to limit on the oil. To me it’s more of a Chinese-American food, almost like Panda Express.
The 3 dishes plus 18% tips, appx $75.“

“We got the house dinner special for two. The water didn't taste so great but we were started off with the fried shrimp with sweet and sour sauce which was pretty good. I enjoyed the sizzling rice soup. I added hot oil to mine. Next we had our dinner which consisted of Mongolian Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and pork fried rice. All of the above were very tasty. The walnuts in the honey walnut shrimp dish were candied, crispy, and fresh ❤️ The ambiance was very relaxing and mellow. The music was jazzy and there was a virtual aquarium which I really enjoyed. I loved the mellow vibe and our waiter, Felix, was very sweet and helpful.❤️“

“The price is low, the food is tasty and the portion is large. We ordered a few and none is very spicy. The whole fish, black bass is very fresh and cooked with flavor. Smoked pork has strong smoke flavor. The husband-wife team is from Sichuan. The chef cooks slowly with care. Our cold beef mixture dish came out last after 40 minutes.“

“First time visiting. Delighted to find a hand-pulled noodle soup place in DT MV.
Noodle portion is good. Would love the width of the flat noodles be half of its current size.
The on-the-house cabbage appetizer could serve w/o jalapeños as my mouth was burning even after I took them out & put the cabbage into my Chef’s Beef noodle soup.
Friendly staff. Glad to see fe/male restrooms.
Frozen dumplings made-to-go.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Solid (1=Avoid, 3=Standard, 5=Can't Miss) for fast, casual Chinese food to-go. There's no seating here, but plenty of parking in the surrounding lot that has a lot of empty businesses around it. But there's a reason Rickshaw is still around because it is one of the best deals in town. Just when you think they are finished loading your plate, they keep going! The garlic noodles are an additional $1 and it is very garlic-y. 😉“

“I came here with two friends and it was mostly empty at 7:10 pm on a Tuesday night!
Good:
- Food came out fast and it's as good as I remember!
- The egg tofu was so chewy and soft, and savory!
- The veggies here are tasty and healthy
- The fried rice was flavorful and well salted
Bad:
- It was hard to flag down a waiter
- Not a big fan of the salted egg yolk dish in the clay pot - just had a bit too strong of an aftertaste for me
Overall it's a casual place with good Asian food and predictable quality!“

“All the food we ordered was so good. The variety menu was kind of impressive, and we loved that 😉 it's not Japanese but more Chinese. Order can made my own devices which is easy!
My understanding is that they are not accepting reservations, but I found a waiting machine when you arrived. It's better to get earlier to check on your waiting list if you want to secure your table. No outside tables for dogs too.
The place was already very crowded - about to be full at 6pm on Friday night.
The customer service level was very good, and the staff was friendly and nice.
I agree that some other people said the food was too salty, and it was indeed too salty. I hope they can put more spices on the table and customize it themselves.
I love the dessert there! They do cook and serve very fresh 😉“

“Stopped by The Mandarin Chinese while hoping for some great Chinese food in town. The location was convenient, and the space itself is quite nice, with the added bonus of upstairs seating. Service was smooth; we came on a Friday evening, got seated right away, and dishes arrived in a steady flow.
Unfortunately, the experience was a bit mixed. The sizzling rice soup was disappointing; it came out lukewarm and didn’t sizzle at all, with a watered-down broth. Definitely underwhelming.
That said, the rest of the meal was much better. We ordered Spicy Beef Tendon, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Garlic Snow Pea Leaves, Eggplant in Spicy Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the Szechuan-style seasoning really stood out. The beef tendon dish, in particular, looked and tasted great.
Overall, while not everything hit the mark (and prices felt a bit high), the main dishes were strong enough to make it a solid option for Szechuan cravings; just maybe skip the soup.“

“I had an amazing dining experience at kirin house
The food was absolutely outstanding — the seafood was incredibly fresh, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and every dish was beautifully presented. My personal favorites were the prawns and lobster, cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for gatherings with family and friends. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for authentic flavors, generous portions, and a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely worth five stars!“

“It's a refined place. Went during the week and had Two dishes. Forgot their names but they were really fresh and tasty. Bill was 100 bucks which means it's spendier than the average (I think. I'm not a local to Cali) but it was a treat!“

“I'm not big on reviewing restaurants but the first one that popped up was a ludicrous one star review, judging by the pictures the reviewers is ether a slob or drunk, or both. I've been coming to Tao Tao since the 80's and it's always been our go to Chinese Restaurant. Food is excellent, we always include Tao Tao Beef and Broccoli Beef. Service is always quick and polite. The Cocktails are killer, especially the Mai Tai, and Long Island. One downside is it is a bit pricey after the pandemic, but considering a fast food combo is now over $15 it isn't that bad.“

“One the best, higher-end Chinese restaurants in Palo Alto. They serve Chinese dishes from all over China, but impressively every dish tastes authentic and delicious. We had Peking duck and pork served with tissue paper thin crepes, cucumber slices and scallions (from China’s capital city), juicy pan fried pork buns and sweet and sour squirrel fish (from the east of China), spicy cabbage stir fry, pig intestines in spicy sauce and beef stir fry (from Sichuan and central China). They carved the duck in front of you and then used the duck carcass to make a very tasty tofu and Napa cabbage soup. The sweet mochi cake dessert was also some of the best I have had in the Bay Area. It’s a very popular restaurant and reservations are recommended. They have a couple of private dining rooms for large parties (at least 10 people). The prices on the higher end for Chinese food, but the taste and the quality of the food absolutely makes up for it.
Parking: Free street or garage parking on the next street
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and kids usually love the buns and Peking duck“

“We've been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and have been very impressed with the food on both occasions. They offer dim sum exclusively during lunch, while dinner features a menu of classic Cantonese dishes.
The quality really shines through – you can tell they use fresh ingredients, and everything is well-seasoned and expertly cooked. A standout from our dinner was the steamed live red grouper; it was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. During our lunch visit, the beef organ stew was a highlight – the organs were clearly fresh and stewed to a wonderful softness.
The staff members are friendly and welcoming. However, it's worth noting that they seem quite understaffed during peak lunch times, so while the service is friendly, it might not be the speediest. Just set your expectations accordingly.
The decor definitely has a nostalgic 2000s Hong Kong feel. A modern refresh would certainly elevate the dining experience.
Overall, the excellent food is the main draw here, and it's more than enough reason for us to return many times.“
“The boss is so cute! “Delicious little hole in the wall dumpling place, serving hot Chinese food in a dimly lit restaurant. :) You know it’s a great sign when you see older Chinese aunties in the shop window expertly wrapping hundreds of dumplings.
True to its name, the dumpling selection on the menu is expansive and all the dumplings are really good. They also have other things (non-dumpling) on their menu. There were definitely a few standout dishes and a few I thought were just okay.
GREAT (would order again)
- hot and sour soup
- salt pepper chicken wings
- salt pepper fried fish
- soup dumplings (xiao long bao)
- spicy wonton dumplings
- stir fry green beans
- pretty much any dumpling on the menu, they’re freshly made!
- egg yolk and boba black sesame balls
Just ok (wouldn’t get again)
- pan fried soup dumplings (shen jian bao)
- green onion pancake
- chow fun (noodle)
I think this is one of my favorite places for soup dumplings now. The soup had great flavor, the filling held up well, the skin was not too thick or thin and didn’t break easily. The other standout on the menu were the black sesame balls, filled with hot gooey sweet yolk and boba. They were freshly fried and amazing! They’re not on the regular menu and was a special when I came here (May 2025)
This truly is a hole in the wall place located in an unassuming plaza, so it was quite dark inside and the seating and bathroom was limited. Come for the food not the ambiance.“

“We love Asia Express Newark. This is a carry out establishment. Their hot table is full of tasty classic favorites to choose from, but they have a good menu of specialties as well. Very good service on the spot. And the value for your buck is exceptional. They offer catering as well for your special occasions. We have used them for several of our family functions with excellent suggestions, on time pick up and the food is always hot and ready to serve. “Stanford in campus counter style cafe offering a blend of Southeast Asian flavours. One has to lower expectations given that this is within the university and caters to a diverse set of diners, so the tastes are milder vs the local Asian staples. A good representation nonetheless of Asian cuisine. The dining area is soley outdoors but relatively clean and provides a good campus spot to have ones meal and to meet up. No toilets available.
Vegetarian options: Counter style gives you options but ask servers on specific ingredients used
Parking: Stanford University parking system in effect while free parking lots are further situated with the use of free shuttles
Kid-friendliness: Ample options for kid's tastes
Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious seating outdoors but ordering has to be done by counter“
