“My comfort food. Orange chicken, Beijing beef and fried rice. Vegetable roll was superb. The chicken roll was too strongly flavoured with Shao Xing wine. Would have preferred lighter taste. Service was good as staff was patient with me downloading app to get 15% discount. Portion generous.“

“Came and found parking around the block. Put our names on the Yelp waitlist and seated in about 15 minutes. Despite how busy it was, the tables did not feel crowded. After scanning the QR code and placing the order, food came out pretty quickly and stayed warm ish on the metal plate in the center of the table powered by 5 tea lights. The stinky tofu came out first and luckily the smell did not linger. We were surprised at how affordable it was. The food did end up over lapping but the flavor profile is more or less the same.“

“Just had a dish of soybean seedling and it was surprisingly good! They had a perfect little crunch on the outside but stayed tender inside. The seasoning was spot-on—a nice savory, garlicky flavor with a hint of spice. It's a great simple side dish, super healthy-tasting, and feels light even when ate lots meats.“

“Very solid meal, surprisingly refined service for a small shop.
Szechuan noodle soup was extremely good!
Smashed Cucumber Salad, solid! Seasoning was very well balanced.
Two remaining dishes that were great, but not standouts like the Szechuan Soup.
Beef & corn steamed dumplings were juicy and flavorful.
Pork XLB was well executed as well.
The server was attentive, provided good recommendations, brought a free side dish of well executed cucumber salad to round out the meal as well & boxed leftovers.
Pleasantly surprised by that level of service for a casual weeknights dumpling spot.“

“We had the kung pao VG chicken and orange peel VG steak. Both items were great - special mention for the latter! Been here a few times over the years and been generally happy with the food. The service was the fastest I can remember in a long time. The interiors were quite cozy without being fancy, and the soft music in the background made for a friendly, easygoing vibe that you'd hope for from a business in your neighborhood.“

“Best Chinese restaurant. If you have not been there, please go! My family and I love their food. Everything is soo delicious and it is good value for money. My favorite dishes are the sweet and sour pork/chicken, Westlake soup, and the fillet of rock cod with pepper salt. It's my go-to comfort food, and I want everyone to know about it! It's so good I also want to keep it my little secret, ha, so selfish of me. :) - no pictures, I would just drool all over them.“

“If you’re local you know where to go (here). I don’t know how this place can afford to keep operating with their portion sizes in this economy but, as a customer, I’m certainly not complaining. Good ole Chinese takeout classics, absolute INSANE portions, decent flavor. The entrance is on the south east side of the corner. Takeout only. If you’re only looking to order items from the hot bar, it’s faster if you walk in. Super super popular on Friday nights. I highly recommend the beef chow fun and eggplants. If you’re ordering online, don’t bother with the platforms—give them a ring and they’ll tell you the exact wait time.“

“I tried Seasons Noodle and Dumpling Garden, and this place definitely surprised me in a good way.
I’m not usually a noodle person. What I know about noodles is either the wok style ones I used to eat back home in Egypt or simple instant noodles at home. That said, this spot changed my perspective. The noodles here are handmade right in front of you, and you can really taste the difference. Fresh, well-textured, and done properly.
The place is very busy, which is usually a good sign, and overall the service moves fast. If you order a broth based noodle dish, it comes out quickly and is served hot, which is great. The issue comes when one person orders broth noodles and the other orders a non broth dish. Those take noticeably longer, and by the time they arrive, the broth dish is already cooling down. That takes away from the experience when you’re eating together.
Because of that timing gap, I’m taking one star off. The food quality is strong, and the handmade noodles are the highlight, but better coordination between dishes would really improve the experience.
Still, if you’re into fresh, handmade noodles, this place is worth trying. Just keep the order timing in mind.“

“Authentic rice noodle, yummy flavor, I can tell the soup are made in house from scratch, not like a lot of restaurants these days with pre-made packages. high quality food with good quantity , Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend. Well
Worth the money we paid.“
“Stopped by Hunan Szechuan Cuisine recently and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and had that perfect Szechuan “ma-la” kick without being overwhelming. Portions were generous, everything came out hot, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you like bold, spicy Chinese dishes, this place is absolutely worth a visit—I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.“

“A good Chinese restaurant with above average food. We tried the cabbage and pork boiled dumplings, the steamed pork soup dumplings, and the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The pan fried soup dumplings were the best – good flavor, crispy bottoms, and juicy soup inside. The boiled dumplings were only okay. I thought the pork filling for the boiled dumplings was a bit musky, and I found a piece of gristle in one dumpling. The steamed pork soup dumplings could have used more soup but were otherwise fine. We also ordered a side of cucumber salad, which was decent overall but a bit salty and garlicky. The service was brisk and professional. They brought us rice for no extra charge – a nice touch. We thought the atmosphere was pleasant overall, with warm lights and plants.“

“This is one of the closest hotpot place to Stanford. We chose a two-person package for $89, including 2 bobas, two plates of beef, one plate of lamb and seafood, one plate of noodles and vermicelli, one plate of tofu, and one sweet. That's more than enough food but we finished it!Unique small individual pot, only wish it was sunk in the table. It has the basic sauces and spices, wish there is more.“

“The soap was very tasty, it had a lot of flavor and wasn't too salty. The noodles were great as well, they were long and chewy. There was also a good amount of meat and vegs as well. One bowl of soap coated me around 20 dollars before tip and they only took cash.“

“Great shanghainese place. Get the pan fried pork buns 5/5 and the xiao long bao soup dumplings 5/5. The place is small so expect to wait a few minutes during lunch. If you are looking for dumplings and in Mountain View this is the place to try.“

“Stopped by The Mandarin Chinese while hoping for some great Chinese food in town. The location was convenient, and the space itself is quite nice, with the added bonus of upstairs seating. Service was smooth; we came on a Friday evening, got seated right away, and dishes arrived in a steady flow.
Unfortunately, the experience was a bit mixed. The sizzling rice soup was disappointing; it came out lukewarm and didn’t sizzle at all, with a watered-down broth. Definitely underwhelming.
That said, the rest of the meal was much better. We ordered Spicy Beef Tendon, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Garlic Snow Pea Leaves, Eggplant in Spicy Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the Szechuan-style seasoning really stood out. The beef tendon dish, in particular, looked and tasted great.
Overall, while not everything hit the mark (and prices felt a bit high), the main dishes were strong enough to make it a solid option for Szechuan cravings; just maybe skip the soup.“

“We came to Ping’s Bistro for a weekend lunch and were completely blown away by the vibrant flavors, beautiful presentation, and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant offers authentic Yunnan and Dai-style Chinese cuisine — dishes that are aromatic, balanced, and full of depth without being overly heavy.
We ordered a mix of dishes to share:
• Dai Style Deep-Fried Pork Ribs – Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, perfectly seasoned with a hint of lemongrass. The dipping sauce was tangy and refreshing, cutting through the richness of the pork. A must-order appetizer!
• Fried Rice with Boletus, Green Pepper & Beef – One of the best fried rice dishes we’ve ever had. Each grain was infused with wok hei and balanced beautifully with earthy mushrooms and mild heat from green peppers.
• Stir-Fried Chayote Leaves with Dried Chili Peppers – Fresh, tender greens stir-fried to perfection with garlic and dried chili. Simple, clean, and full of natural flavor.
• Signature Grilled Fish with Lemongrass – The star of the meal. The fish was grilled to a beautiful char and topped with fragrant herbs, garlic, lime, and chili. The lemongrass aroma elevated the dish to another level — spicy, citrusy, and deeply satisfying.
• Sautéed Black Termite Mushroom, Maitake, Cordyceps Flower Velvet – A rare treat! The mix of mushrooms gave layers of texture — chewy, soft, and crisp — with an earthy umami flavor.
• Country-Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus – Homestyle comfort at its best. The soft eggs and wood ear mushrooms soaked up the sauce beautifully, creating a rich, balanced bite every time.
• Sautéed Beef with Pickled Mustard – Tender beef slices paired with tangy mustard greens and red peppers — a bold yet harmonious flavor combination.
Every dish came out piping hot, beautifully plated, and perfectly portioned for sharing. The flavors were authentic, and the seasoning was carefully balanced — not too oily or salty.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is calm and modern, with large windows that bring in plenty of natural light. Service was attentive and efficient; our server helped us select dishes according to our spice preference (“less spicy”) and ensured we had a smooth dining experience.
For anyone who loves discovering regional Chinese cuisines beyond the usual Cantonese or Sichuan offerings, Ping’s Bistro is a must-visit. It’s perfect for group dining or a casual yet refined family meal.
- Favorite dishes: Dai-style pork ribs, grilled lemongrass fish, boletus beef fried rice.
- Spice level: Adjustable – just ask for “less spicy” if you prefer mild.
- Portion: Generous and great for sharing.
Highly recommended — this place deserves way more attention in Cupertino’s dining scene!“

“This is a solid dim sum place with good food overall. Prices were fair, except for the pan fried bao with translucent skins, which were way overpriced. We enjoyed the shrimp chang fen and the Chinese broccoli. The har gow had nice chewy skins, but the filling inside was only so-so. I was not a huge fan of the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves because the filling was made with ground meat instead of whole pieces. The staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed choosing our food from the roving dim sum carts. I ordered shou mei tea, which tasted fine.“

“Fried chicken wing - Don't underestimate fried chicken wing, you can taste a good one compared to bad ones and this is one of the best I've had. Good garlic flavor and crispy fried flavor.Baked Spaghetti Bolognese - I was surprised how good this is. They use the good cheese and you can smell it. Crispy cheese on top and the sauce flavor is very good as well.Baked pork chop over rice - The sauce is above average. However, the pork chop could use more marinate, garlic and sesame oil. I think the pork chop they use is pork loin. Using more fatty pork will make it more tender and juicy.Portuguese style baked chicken rice - The flavor of the sauce actually was pretty good but I thought it taste a little sourness. All in all, I'm pretty impressed because I didn't expect it's this good.“

“After having an amazing whole fried fish at another Chinese restaurant, I have been looking for the same dish at a nearby restaurant. This one met my expectations. Our mapo tofu and curry mixed veggies were good too. The only item that needed improvement was the white rice which was lumpy and too soft.“

“Okay, so I checked out this place on West El Camino Real in Sunnyvale – it’s a pretty lively spot! Definitely seemed popular, lots of people. The food was a bit pricier than I expected, almost like a fancy version of panda Chinese. Portions were decent though. The staff were super friendly, especially our waiter, she was really attentive. Parking was a bit of a pain because it’s shared with other businesses. I got the extra spicy sauce – definitely needed it! Would go back with friends for a fun evening.“

“I’m quite shocked how much food they gave me after all of the Chinese takeouts I’ve been too! It’s no wonder that this place has received higher ratings. This plate I have can get you full in no time unless you share it or save up for dinner later. The food here is even tasty. That two-item combo costs around $13!
I heard that this restaurant also serves à la carte, but you can also go through fast-food style like what I had today. Place wasn’t really big but the seating area in a way stands out. You can probably wait there until your order is ready. Also, I was scrolling through the foods from the display. Seems that many people ate here during lunch while I came here for dinner. Doesn’t seem that they have plenty of options from the display for combo orders, but that’s alright.
Honestly, I thought that the Spicy Orange Chicken would be very spicy, but gladly, it isn’t. I was hoping that I don’t end up drinking too much water from severe spiciness. I have tried the regular Orange Chicken from a similar place, but didn’t like it.
This will be one of the favorite Chinese takeouts I will go to for now on. Looking forward for more!“

“This restaurant is located right next to the famous Little Sichuan—healthy competition is always welcome. The interior feels newly renovated with a pleasant ambience, something I wish Little Sichuan would consider as well.
We ordered three dishes: Chongqing Spicy Chicken, Flavor Kitchen Cage Frog, and Dry-Baked Green Beans. Both the spicy chicken and the cage frog were quite good. The green beans were just okay; they were a bit stringy, and I’ve definitely had more tender versions elsewhere.
Be prepared to wait a bit for your food. It took about 15–20 minutes for our first dishes to arrive. This might actually be a good sign, since many Chinese restaurants rely heavily on pre-prepped ingredients—here it seems they cook more from scratch, which takes longer but tastes fresher.
Overall, we had a positive experience and will be adding this restaurant to our list for future visits.“

“Managed to get a last-minute reservation and felt quite lucky! The restaurant even followed up to confirm our arrival. The service was excellent—they even poured the sake for us. I loved the heated tray on the table that kept our skewers warm; it’s such a thoughtful touch. The menu has plenty of options, and though the place is small, it feels very cozy and atmospheric. The upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling are a unique touch. One thing to note: it’s quite dim inside, so it’s a bit hard to take photos. If you're taking a group shot, watch out for blurriness!“

“My family and I had a really good dining experience at this place. We went after Christmas and despite the place being packed, they were able to accommodate us without a reservation (We just got lucky). The staff was very nice and accommodating.
We wanted to try the roast duck which was the most recommended dish on the internet about this place but we found out that we had to have called ahead of time and place an order. They did try and see if we can still get it but they didn't have enough stock to serve an unexpected order which is fine.
The next best thing they recommended was the Sweet & Sour Mandarin Fish. Boy was it amazing! It was the perfect blend of sweet and sour. I've had sweet and sour dishes before that can go overboard with the sweet that it makes the dish difficult to finish but this was not one of those. The sauce was just right and nice. The fish itself also was fried really well. Crispy pieces of fish on the outside and tender on the inside. It did not feel oily at all. It went amazing with rice. It wasn't just tasty, the fish was fun to eat too with they way it was cut and prepared. It was a perfect centerpiece dish for the family to share.
I remember we had other dishes too like shrimp and dumplings but I really did love the Sweet & Sour Mandarin fish so it was the highlight for me.
Apart from the food, the ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. The place was clean and well decorated.
The service was great too. Shout out to Suda who took very good care of us during our dinner. She was always there whenever we needed something and we never felt like we needed to wait to be accommodated for something. The best server!
I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a great dining experience! 10/10. Will come back again to try the duck!“

“Stanford in campus counter style cafe offering a blend of Southeast Asian flavours. One has to lower expectations given that this is within the university and caters to a diverse set of diners, so the tastes are milder vs the local Asian staples. A good representation nonetheless of Asian cuisine. The dining area is soley outdoors but relatively clean and provides a good campus spot to have ones meal and to meet up. No toilets available.
Vegetarian options: Counter style gives you options but ask servers on specific ingredients used
Parking: Stanford University parking system in effect while free parking lots are further situated with the use of free shuttles
Kid-friendliness: Ample options for kid's tastes
Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious seating outdoors but ordering has to be done by counter“
