“This restaurant is a straight VIBE!!! We tried several items on the menu, the cucumber and avocado salad was light and refreshing, the mint added a lovely kick on top.

I would be doing an injustice to the city of LA if I didn’t mention the Porterhouse. I consider myself a bit of a self proclaimed steak connoisseur, and believe me when I say this was one of the best steaks I have ever had the pleasure of devouring.

Over all this was a great experience. Great service. Secluded and ambient atmosphere, AND killer food. 10/10 recommended.“

“It's always good for me. I had the chicken Milanese (excellent) that came topped with a very ample arugula salad. A courtesy basket of fresh breads with dipping olive oil and balsamic vinegar was placed on the table. My date had veal Marsala (that too was exceptional). We shared a glass of Pinot Noir. All served on white table cloths (except the wine of course) with white cloth napkins and tasteful table settings. The waitstaff was superior as was the very engaging Maitre de who roams and greets. Great looking place that has a 1940s feel to it. My only very minor suggestion would be to align your website prices with your at table menu prices. A must visit.“

We got a salad and they gave us a side of garlic bread which is the best garlic bread I've eaten in my entire life!!! And the portions are huge for what they charge, it took two of us to finish the salad and we were full!
And the servers were adorably concerned with us not eating enough (aww)

“This was an excellent experience, the service and food was amazing. It was a family surprise birthday dinner and we had a mix of appetizers for the table.
The Chicken Dominic was so delicious!!! Our server shared it is a favorite and popular dish, it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and flavorful with a small kick of spice.
And the pineapple jalapeno mocktail, I enjoyed the flavor with the sweet kick of fire ?.
Watching the Branzino entree come out is a nice presentation. It is rolled out via a server cart covered in salt with a spotlight to capture this feast. And this dish can feed at least 4-6 people. Another nice touch is having the server fillet the dish at your table.
Definitely would try this place again.“

“Tiny Italian pasta bar serving up yummy handmade pasta with an extensive wine list. Packed little place but cozy vibes. The dessert panna cotta was surprisingly bomb. Be sure to get there before dinner time otherwise you might be in for a long wait.“

“First time trying this place with my wife, and it was definitely an experience. We tried the regional tasting menu because we had never tried beef tartar before and wanted to try something new. It's definitely not our favorite, but that's not the fault of the food or service. It was mainly us just not having the taste for tartar. Overall, the pastas on the regional tasting menu were an average score of 4.25/5 between each other. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was good. Great wine recommendations for the menu or dish you're trying, and we will definitely be coming back in the future. Colin was our server, and he definitely did a great job . If he sees this review, give yourself a pat on the back. You're great, and we'd love to see you again!“

“I am not the biggest fan of Italian food but wow the food here was top notch! You’re going heavy on carbs when you eat Italian food but there were definitely some opportunities to finesse your way to a low carb meal if that is your preference. Everything tasted so good and I will definitely be back there!

Service was good but I’d love it if it was a bit faster HOWEVER the place was full so I can see why it felt like we were waiting to get the waiters attention at times. Still, no major issues with service.

Atmosphere was definitely lively, the place was full of people, it was a little too crammed indoors for my taste, not a major issue though.

There is a small parking lot but it was full while we were there so some of us had to find street parking. We were there for peak hours.“

“I am not one to provide reviews but I am a pesto lover, and it is one dish that is usually made in a variety of ways that are so-so. Well I finally found a place that makes a superbly "real" pesto!!!!! The inclusion of mint was a delicious addition. A true Italian dish does not require bread, and salads are usually eaten after the main meal. The portions were perfect and filling and the broccolini and pasta were all dented. I will try the brunch next, but I highly recommend this place. Karina and Francisco were great.“

“Giamela's is an old family owned chain with amazing pepper steak subs. I have been eating here since at least the early 80's, and unfortunately they've closed a few locations. Their subs are generously portioned and freshly prepared. Aside from their pepper steak, their meatball sub among others is classic. The atmosphere and decor is basic, but that isn't why you come here. Service is friendly.“

Having had an Italian Chef for a Father, I grew up being able to tell good Italian flavors from a simple dish like Meatballs and Sauce (gravy)! Both were excellent from Sugo! Hot from heat, great texture and fine flavors and plenty of food! I'm looking forward to delving deeply into the menu next time! The rest of the family dinner was a hit with everyone too!
