“Not a big fan of sitting on the side of street where people walk by and you intake that fumes coming from all these traffic. Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

“The sushi fish was fresh, and the sushi rice was delicious! As someone who frequents sushi bars in LA for some nigiri and hot tea, Chiba has the best ambiance and best tasting nigiri sushi.
My favorite was the mackerel, yellowtail, and unagi.
I've also ordered donburi here, and it comes very close to the donburi I had in Japan.
Been coming to Chiba for years now. Hands down it's my favorite sushi spot for nigiri in LA.
Excellent service. Totally polite. 💖 There are purse hooks under the sushi counter.
Boom. 5 stars.“

“We went to Katana for Dine LA and had a great time! Our waiter was super nice and the vibe was cozy and trendy. The patio has a great view of the street. Food was great too! Definitely recommend for a fun night out in LA. The portions were huge and the quality was great. I can’t wait to go back!“

“The sushi was on point. I had a caterpillar roll. The ingredients were fresh and I was full from the size of the roll! Also, it was quite a deal too as I had dinner on a Wednesday. Currently, Monday through Friday the restaurant is offering 20% off.“

“Great service and food💗 There are many alcohol menus and food items that other restaurants do not have, and the restaurant is not too big, so you can enjoy a relaxing, calm and stylish time. There is plenty of space for parking, and I would definitely go back‼︎“

“The best dining experience I’ve had in recent months 👏 Staff were amazing and so friendly—special shoutout to Darren (our bartender), Robby (sushi chef), Chris, and Cornell, they were simply the best.

“We ordered the Volcano Roll, the Shrimp Tempura Crunch, and the Spicy Tuna Tempura. We didn’t care for the Spicy Tuna Tempura roll, and when we let our waitress know, she was very understanding and took it off the bill. The service overall was great. The restaurant is small but cute, and we would definitely return.“

“Loooove this place so much. One of our favorite neighborhood places. Laid back, with delicious food and wonderful staff.
We love the steamed chicken gyoza, the cut sushi rolls, and the sashimi bowls. The chicken katsu Don is AMAZING, as is the zaru soba and the curry katsu rice bowl.
Much easier to get in for lunch, though we usually go for dinner. It’s a small space and you put your name on a list for a table upon arrival, so show up with your whole party to be seated. Street parking is usually easier than trying to valet.“

“Fresh, Flavorful, and Worth Every Bite!
I recently visited this sushi spot, and I was blown away by how fresh everything tasted. The fish practically melted in my mouth — you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The rolls were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced with flavor and texture.“

“Rokusho is one of my favorite spots in LA right now. The space is sleek without feeling try-hard, and the food is thoughtful, creative Japanese that still feels grounded—everything we ordered was excellent. Great cocktails, attentive service, and an overall vibe that makes it an easy go-to for a date or a night out with friends. Consistently impressive.“

“If there’s one thing I love, it’s teriyaki plus. This restaurant is so inconspicuous and a sleeper hit of the area. It’s charming and the food is well priced and so flavorful. We got the katsu bowl, the gyoza and chicken kabobs. All perfect. I can’t quite explain why this place is so cute and charming but as soon as you step inside you can feel that you’re walking in to your new favorite restaurant.“

“This is an effortlessly chic sushi restaurant.
Healthy mix of couples, friends and solo eaters.
It’s easy to sink into the dark wooded, close quarters venue with soft jazz as background noise behind the bustling of the staff.
Infatuation will tell you to order the crispy rice with spicy tuna and sushi moriawise, which a lot of folks were getting.
If you have the $200/person (after tax and tip), it’s a special omakase. The ocean trout with kelp is non-pareil, sweet and umami flavors. Worth a visit.“

“I am extremely loyal to our local sushi restaurant gems all along Ventura blvd and have my staples saying that none compare to this most amazing sushi spot we've discovered and many have already known about and it is Sushi Tomoki! Wow! “Always amazing genuine food! I always order from here and they always get it right. The #2 special is always my go to and they make it so good every single time. A little older of a building but don’t let the looks scare you away, their food is wonderful and so are the people behind the counter!“

“Love Jo&Go Sushi. They saved me when we first moved to LA and while the house was being remodeled.
4 years later... it's still as good as first discovered. It's a neighborhood gem inside the Korean Greenland Mrkt, which btw, is also awesome.
Must try is the salmon bowl, the salmon slices are so tender and buttery... they give you a crazy amount of salmon over the rice and seriously it's enough to have a 2nd meal! One note about the bowl... I'm not a fan of drenching really good cooked rice with sauce, so I always order without the sauce. The rice is not sushi rice which makes it even more delicious... the rice is always perfectly cooked. You get a miso soup and a cute little container of pickled radish (delish). I would love to know where they source the fish... it's like being in Japan, it's so fresh.
I'll be catering with them soon and happy to update the review post order.
The kind woman who takes the order is so sweet and cute, always smiling...says hi and bye all the time.
If you're in the area, definitely give it a try for takeaway.“

“This place for years has been my all time favorite. The service is unbelievably fast, welcoming and of top notch and respectful. The food is always fresh and the chefs you
Can tell are very passionate on what they do and the hold the Japanese craft to a high regard. I spoke to the manager he carries himself with his culture and pride very high. He is so incredibly kind and respectful. The restaurant really is a sight to behold and truly a gem in the United States. I drive an hour there without hesitation. As far as I’m concerned there is no place like it. Until next time 🙏“

“I asked my son where he wanted to go out for a special dinner, and he Sake Sake, I was like dang that's going to be a $100, but it has been a favorite of ours for 10+ years, and worth it for a special night out. Sushi is delish, including the mackerel susshi and yellowtail sashimi. Service is great as always, and the chefs seemed to be Japanese, as my son was able to understand what they were saying.“

“First time here, bests other Teppan yaki restaurants. Personal and attentive service.
Update Feb 2026: Still excellent food! Service was attentive. Chef was entertaining. The tea I ordered was from a tea bag, not flavorful at all. Should have stuck with the sake which was very nice.“

“Stopped by this sushi joint, I’d seen it on Google and wanted to try it for a while.
I got seated and had my order taken quickly. My choices were the Dragon Roll and Philly Roll. Both tasted great. They do a great job on the rice and the fish was top notch as well.
They delivered everything I wanted and the service was friendly too.“

“I had an amazing experience at Beto’s Tepanyaki! The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and fast. The chefs are truly skilled.
I ordered the New York Steak and Chicken Bowl, cooked medium-rare, and it was absolutely delicious! The steak was tender and juicy, while the chicken was flavorful and perfectly grilled. The portion size was generous, and every bite was packed with amazing flavor.
If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a fun dining experience, Beto’s Tepanyaki is the place to go. Highly recommend!“

“Honestly, I would give more stars if I could. The ambiance and restaurant itself was very elegant but cozy. Every dish we tried was incredible, we started with appetizers the crispy rice with tuna was cooked to perfection as well as the cucumber and avocado salad, which was delicious and flavorful.
Some of my FAVORITES included the yellowtail and jalepenos which i would highlyyy recommend. The Jessica Roll was absolutely to die for and melted in your mouth. We had a few other rolls including the lemon roll and fantasy roll while also grabbing the salmon and yellowtail belly.
Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend stopping by here whether it be with friends to catch up or your significant other for a date.“

“Stopped in after sightseeing most of the day. We walked so not sure on parking in that area. We were seated immediately. There was only one server so service was slow but he was by himself. We ordered miso soup, salad, Ramen bowl and kino sushi. All was very good. Ramen bowls are large portions. Also got the Ramen spicy (extra $1). The taste is good but it is very spicy. The kino sushi was good, the sauce was good. One down was the seaweed wrap inside was not chewable. You would chew it and it wouldn't break down. I had to pull it out with each bite. The decor was nice, well lit. They have outdoor seating. The have a sushi bar that you can not at. Prices were average. Asked to separate the check, 3 people in our party. Said it would be $1 extra per person to split the check.“

“Unexpected find in a quiet little plaza in West Hollywood—easily the best unagi don I’ve had in SoCal. Two styles, both incredible, but the hitsumabushi stole the show. Could’ve eaten three more bowls without hesitation. 😋“

“Parking, good food and service with fair prices, I’m glad that we went. The parking lot is not large, with a good number of stores it services, but cars are coming and going all of the time. It was not hard to find a place. The restaurant is not a big place and had plenty of seats when we went. You walk up to order, plus there is a good size menu with lots of options. It might take a bit to figure out what to get. We both ordered the Super Maki Combo bento box. There is plenty of food that comes with this meal. And it came pretty quick. Soup, tempura, steamed veggies, a couple of rolls, tempura, and a dumpling. They are not messing around here. The food was good, nothing really memorable, but nothing was questionable either. And for the price, not a bad deal. The staff was friendly and helpful when we were asking about the menu. When the food came to our table, we were happy with the freshness and presentation. The sauces were explained with what dishes they were for. It is a lot of soy sauce! The tempura dipping sauce was not what I am used to having with tempura but worked with the meal. It was very light and had a nice flavor. It is worth trying out for a low key Japanese meal.“

“I went before the dinner rush. I was sat at the bar. I was actually very appreciative that I was asked if I wanted ginger and wasabi before just serving. I never eat it so I was glad I wasn’t just wasting some. Both the appetizer and the meal were well portioned but light. Fish tasted fresh! Presentation was great.“
