From the warm and knowledgeable staff to the exquisite culinary offerings, every aspect of the evening was exceptional. The appetizers, including the crunchy tuna cigars, hamachi crudo, and the newly introduced kingfish crudo, tantalized the taste buds with their harmonious flavor combinations. The steak tartare, with its spicy kick, was a standout dish, setting the stage for the incredible entrees to follow.The truffle cavatelli was a personal favorite, but the oxtail agnolotti stole the show with its rich wine and meat sauce, leaving a lasting impression as one of the most remarkable pasta dishes ever tasted. The bone-in ribeye, cooked to perfection and accompanied by dauphinois gratin of potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus, showcased the restaurant's mastery of steak. “As usual the food was very good, However I cannot say I was very happy with some of the service. It was difficult at times to get the attention of our sever. We had to ask multiple times for the wine list so we could get a few more glasses of wine. We were near the end of meal before wine was finally delivered. For the amount we were paying for the dinner we think the server should have been more available or at least come over to see how we were doing.“

“Most always a lovely dining experience and last night was no exception. Service was excellent. The scallops ( a special) were exceptional, the pork chop was a bit dry. The salad is always perfect. Our only comment is the music volume was variable and often too loud.“

“Dinner for 4 on a Thursday at 7pm. Small parking lot was full, we had to circle for street parking. No Valet. Busy inside. They only seat once the entire party is present. There were several groups waiting for their people, the entryway was crowded. It's loud inside, I later saw a warning from my phone! Food was tasty. Portion sizes good. La Jolla potatoes are kinda like scalloped potatoes. Sticky toffee pudding to share was great.“

“My first Dine LA restaurant, Meat on Ocean, was located on the main thoroughfare in Santa Monica, very close to the ocean. The environment of the restaurant is also very good, with the feeling of American TV series and movies. I was very satisfied with the taste of the cuisine.“

“The place is very big and looks great but pretty empty. So you lack the vibes you get on other LA steakhouses. The food is ok. Starters were not that good, steaks were ok and the sides were the best aside from the mash potatoes, which was nothing but creamy. Great service, but I'd rather go to other steaks houses that are more traditional and have the right vibe.“

“Although we had a reservation, we did have to wait a bit for our table. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We each ordered one of the evening's specials and were very pleased. The bone-in NY steak with onion rings, the brisket with potato pancakes & green beans, and the halibut with sauteed spinach did not disappoint. Devastatingly, what DID disappoint was the bread. Say it aint so, but after many, MANY years, your fav (and ours) hot, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside sourdough bread is GONE. In its place is something dry and barely edible. Praying Monty's sees the error of their ways and switches back pronto!!“

“We didn't see our server until we had been sitting for 10 minutes. We did receive water by other helpers. Our server was very young and felt inexperienced which is not what we would expect from this restaurant. Other times we have had more seasoned, older servers which worked much better for us!“

“Only came in for a drink and snack at happy hour, but the Juan margarita was so delicious, and the wedge salad so perfect that we wished we'd had time on our trip to come back for a proper hangout. Such a cozy and lovely patio, and super, friendly service. Will definitely return next trip!“

“I don't know if anytime I come here I'm hungry for something special and something real good But, I end up here at yard house and it never fails to deliver...........I got today a chicken tortilla soup and it was heavenly and for the main course I got the Thai grilled pork chop and it was really freaking good. I also had my fav beer from here called GARAGE nice crisp citrusy taste(super delicious). You got to come to this place. It's super awesome and the music is......I mean was 80s and it was cool“

“Our first time there. We were a group of 8 for a birthday party. The food was amazing. The meat was grilled medium rare. The vegetable sides were seasoned just right. The birthday boy got a smoked old fashioned that reminded me of a campfire. Our server and staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu had suggestions for the meal. An outstanding meal and experience.“

“I like the Golden Bull. It's a throwback to the 60's steakhouse that's a half block from the Pacific. The menu is mostly classic steakhouse fare. Our server was delightful. She bubbled with personality, was attentive, and kept the evening moving at an enjoyable pace. My martini was crisp, clean, and more than generous. The caesar salad was one of the best I've had. My son and I split the Tomahawk Steak. I like my steak a little more done that he does so our server brought it to the table medium rare then took my slices back to the kitchen for a bit more finishing. It was delicious. Fries were firm and crisp. The creamed spinach wasn't quite as creamy as I expected but it was good... and probably healthier that way. All in all a really enjoyable evening.“

“The servicer was attentive and informative. the soup was really delicious. I could have eaten it as a meal with a slice of cornbread and would have been happy; it was hearty. the liver was cooked and seasoned well; not tough. the vegetables were firm not mushy possibly blanched or steamed the mashed potatoes with gravy was also goodWheelchair accessibility: No stairs“

“Food was delicious & the service was great! Celebrated my wife's Bday. Shared the burrata salad, the seafood tower, a filet w/shrooms & Mac & cheese. Everything was fantastic! They also brought us a comp desert for the birthday. My only complaints are the prices & no parking validation. Even the CPK in the same building validates in the shared attached ramp. Would definitely go more often if it wasn't so expensive. Almost $400(w/tip) for 2 peeps. We only had 3 total cocktails & the dessert was comped. I still give it 5 stars!“

“This was our second visit in a month!! My husband the rib eye so much he got it again. I tried short ribs! Omg so so delicious. We also loved the wedge salad. Perfect!! We'll be back. It's just so comfy and delicious. Great place to just be us and enjoy a night together!!“

“We took our friend here to celebrate their birthday. Everything from the menu was delicious!!! From the bread to the steak and even the dessert which we got the cheesecake - prob the best cheesecake I ever had which says a lot because I am very picky about my cheesecake.“

“It was BA's 60th birthday and we went to the Brunch experience. The food and menu were delicious and we had a great time. Brian and Tammy were also there to greet the guests and to check how everything was going. This was our first experience attending BA experience events and we enjoyed it. Kudos to Brian to being innovative and modernizing the restaurant. Will go back to other BA experiences to be sure. Thanks!“

“I went back to Sam's Philly Steak since I was in the area to see what it's like after years of not getting the chance to pop in. The place was remodeled some time ago and now has a more sleek and tidy design. The owner is still there making food to order at the speed of light (my order was very fast, even with having three items). The super cheese steak is definitely something I'll be coming back for if I'm in the area because of how filling and tasty the steak, onions, mushrooms, and peppers are, and the chili cheese fries have a perfect balance of taste and melt in your mouth goodness. Even as prices have gone up the past few years especially with other restaurants, this one has stood the test of time and continues to provide great value for great tasting food.“
