“One of my favorite LA restaurants. The food is always good, regardless of what night of the week or weekend you go there. The oxtail dumplings, snap peas, octopus skewers, and the eggplants are my favorite small dishes and the ribeye and the whole snapper are the favorite mains. The only food item that I had and did not like was the skirt steak. It had no flavor whatsoever.Top it all off with the strawberry custard and the chocolate bar for dessert.“

“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“

“It was our 1st time there. Smaller than it looks in pics so I'd say it's a quaint place. Only a couple beer choices but decent amount of wine choices. The food is shareable which I prefer. The salads were sooo good! The 2 pizzas were sooo tasty. The bread with butter is light & airy. Sauces for the pizza crusts were a bonus.Parking: Next door lot is $25 for about 2 hours“

“Bodega has best of both worlds! You can grab a coffee and get some work done or you can grab a glass of wine and catch up with friends. I love coming here for both! Also their pizza is the best pizza in LA in my opinion ! At 5pm everyone puts their laptops away and it turns into an actual wine bar! LOVE IT ! Service is great! Ambiance is so cool! Lots of natural light which gives it a coffee shop feel! There's tall tables, a long bar and also couches to sit. They also have an outside patio for those warm sunny days !“

“Love their pasta and order delivery often but had a babysitter last weekend so we got to go to the actual space for the first time. Very lively and cozy and friendly - the staff and clientele alike. We've yet to encounter a dish we haven't loved. The papperdelle and bucatini are my favorites, and our family enjoyed the mushroom fettuccine and lamb gnocchi. The shrimp diavola and the meatballs make excellent sides/starters. All of the desserts are fantastic - pannacotta is a huge hit, tiramisu is on point and Nutella bites are a pretty unique snack-size dessert.“

“I've been coming here to Bodevi many times this past year. I was so stoked when I found out they serve wine AND espresso. I initially was drawn to their WINE FLIGHTS and VEGAN CHARCUTERIE. But lately maybe because of the cold weather I've been craving their LOX & CREAM CHEESE TOAST and BLUEBERRY GINGER LATTE. They pay really great attention to detail because my lox toast is perfectly spread all the way to the edges. The salmon perfectly scrunched for texture (not just laid out flat) and topped with sliced red onions. Then drizzled with oil I think and perfectly garnished with dill and capers...yumm!! Love the orange slices as well! The blueberry ginger latte is so unique and pretty! It has a richness to it like mocha but perfectly balanced. I get mine with oat milk. And I love seeing actual blueberries on it to give it a nice finishing touch. Get this before they switch out their seasonal menu! Once the weather warms up I may go back to trying their wine flights again. I recommend THE DAVID BOWIE so you can have the assortment of white, rose, and red if you're trying their wines for the first time. Other items I definitely recommend are the BURRATA PISTACHIO SANDWICH (I get mine minus the prosciutto to make it vegetarian) , the VEGAN DELI SANDWICH, and the DEVILED EGGS. You can't go wrong with those. They're delicious! They even have an assortment of board games, chess, and checkers that you can play in the private room in the back. So chic and charming for big parties! Service is wonderful! My lattes always come out perfect here made by Caleb and Melissa! And like I said they pay attention to detail. There's also a self serve water station by the bar. Parking is FREE in the back parking lot. Front parking you have to pay for with coins not credit cards. Such an absolute GEM in San Fernando!“

“Took 2 friends there to celebrate a birthday. Food and service were very good. Noise level was WAY too high. We were in a small room in the rear with just 3 tables: ours, one with two men and an empty table. The two men were talking so loud that we couldn't hear each other at our own table. We commented to our server (who kind of shrugged) and then finally one of the women at our table calmly, politely told the men she was enjoying their conversation but couldn't hear the conversation at our own table. They chuckled ("are we talking too loud?") and then proceeded to continue their conversation. It was so uncomfortable that the woman celebrating her birthday said although she liked the food she'd never return to the restaurant. The men had finished their meal about halfway through our meal and we were anxiously waiting for them to leave, but they didn't. Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. I think the server, or host, could have helped to have them turn down the volume.“

“I have been to here for brunch twice and really enjoyed it both times. Service and ambiance were great too. We had the pancakes, cinnamon roll, burrito and the acai bowl. All were very good. I highly recommend if you want to go for a nice brunch with family. The eggs Benedict was amazing too.“

“It seems like there is a scarcity of wine bars in L.A., in general. Thus, we were thrilled to unexpectedly find Offhand. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, and the service was friendly. We enjoyed our wine and beer choices while sitting in the chill outdoor seating area. We only wish they had more vegetarian options on the menu. We didn't order food because of that reason. We would also be interested in trying wine flights. Great place, and we want to come back for their coffee.“

“Thanks you Daniel and the staff for an amazing experience. I don’t share this lightly after many disappointing donning experiences in LA. Everything was excellent both food and service. We had the meat and cheese charcuterie board where everything was superb. Their specialty cocktail, the Fizz’d Out, was one of the best we have ever had and their wine list was not only impressive but was reasonably priced. The chicken confit was exceptional and the apple tart was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Dont sleep on the vegetable sides too. Thank you! “I love the concept of this restaurant and the service was spot on great! We sampled several dishes from the menu and I can highly recommend the yummy ribs, the swiss chard, and the asparagus was super (done with a tangerine sauce that was amazing)! The deviled egg was delightful as well as the tomato puree on toasts, a nice palette cleanser...And the goat milk flan was a desert winner!! I will say a few dishes just weren't up to par - the skewered calamari was underwhelming, not well spiced and rather bland, and the garling shrimp was overwhelming with too much garlic (and we were all garlic lovers). I was glad we asked for a quiet table, tucked up in the corner of the upstairs area (we had a double birthday dinner), because the noise level in general was very high. I recommend seating up on the balcony if possible. All in all, however, it was a great experience and we'll certainly go back and sample some more dishes from this neighborhood gem.“

“Wow wow wow! This place is unreal. Probably the most gourmet brunch in the valley you can get. Gasolina is a Spanish inspired brunch restaurant in the valley. I ordered the skillet breakfast which makes me think of shakshuka, a Mediterranean egg dish cooked in tomatoes and onions. This is their take on that dish, but amplified with meat and a different inspiration of flavors. It doesn't look like it will fill you up but trust me, you will be very satisfied. My girlfriend ordered the burger and we split the patatas bravas. Both very good and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was also very friendly and gave us good recommendations! Highly recommend this place for a former brunch in the valley.“

“Absolutely a neighborhood favorite for Samo subs. Amazing ambiance, warm staff, and an impressive variety of dietary-friendly options on the menu. Highly recommended dishes include grilled octopus, mussels, chopped salad, tuna tartare, short ribs, bucatini, chicken under a brick, and grilled carrots. Despite its size, the restaurant offers ample space for lengthy conversations and boasts an excellent selection of wines.“
“Hidden gem!!! Anna Marie was our bar tender. She is the best bar tender of all times. She was sooo sweet. Her energy and personality alone earned more than 5 stars. I tried the Schrute farms which had beet infused gin, pomegranate, pineau des charantes and lemon.. this is the best cocktail I've ever tried. I asked Anna Marie for more recommendations. We tried almost every cocktail she recommended and they were all amazing. This is my new favorite bar.“

“This is the time of the year the internet is alive with lists of places to go on St. Patrick's Day. Always read these lists although I never go out on St. Patrick's Day. Saw Auld Fella on some of these online lists. First thing I thought was it was very nice the place was named after me. Second thing I thought was Auld Fella looked like someplace I would like to go. Then I noticed Auld Fella was five blocks from where I lived, so I went there today. Has the chicken curry today. It was very good and there was a lot of it. Going to try the chicken pot pie the next time I go to Auld Fella. Going to go on a Sunday and try the chicken Sunday Roast.“

“I love this bar for a fun drink with a friend or to have a leisurely lunch while catching up on work in the daytime. There no other bar like this in Los Angeles with it's old-school grandeur and amazing service. I invited out-of-town friends to the bar last night and they loved the drinks and chatting with Ben, Christine and Reggie. The only bad news at The Club Bar is they've downgraded the bar snack situation. The usual top notch condiments of kettle chips, seasoned almonds and mixed olives has been replaced with a sad combination of humdrum honey mustard pretzel bits and a lame asian snack mix. Sort of a bummer, but I'll keep coming anyhow!!“

I was pleased to find Chenin Blanc by the glass—all adequately priced.Light bites were served. I enjoyed the sampling of offerings—definitely meticulously curated for quality and flavor.Customer service and decor were both consistent with their branding and neighborhood values/expectations. Parking at 6pm was free on metered section of Ventura boulevard.Normally, there is a weekday happy hour. The business owner/manager shared there is a book club on Sundays and a wine class. It’s an intimate yet sophisticated environment. Very close to the Galleria.I will return to check out the book clubz Each patron brings their own books and reads independently for an hour; then, each patron sparks up a conversation and shared with others. I can imagine the stimulating conversations that take place.“

“This is an old school style restaurant similar to the original Palm restaurant. The menu is very heavy on pasta and pizza. They have daily specials that sound delicious but they are reliant on pasta as a part of the presentation. As I can’t have pasta unless it’s organic I can’t comment on them first hand. Everyone else at our table had such dishes and loved them. I had the Chicken Diablo and it was fantastic. The restaurant has a lot of surfaces that deaden sound which is a great thing. I didn’t give them 5 stars because the restaurant and the menu seem dated.“

“Great choice for hearty, not heavy food in a relaxed and even romantic room. Feels like you could come here with family, friends, associates, or a date. We tried an app and a couple pastas and felt well taken care of and satisfied. The Fritto Misto or Calamari is a classic, of course. Happily it's prepared to order and delicious. 'Lightly battered and served with marinara' is accurate - and we really enjoyed the marinara, too. It's a good portion, perfect to share. I was very interested in trying their namesake, the Meatballs. Tried the three different meatballs: The beef, the pork, and the eggplant. The eggplant was enjoyable, akin to a falafel in texture. Moist in the middle. The pork was also good, not overpowering by any means. The beef, to me, lacked flavor. I think a combo of the beef and pork would be great. Or, if the beef simply had more seasoning, it would be a winner, too. The texture was good, just moist enough. Just not enough of a flavor. I doubled-down with my flavor exploration as the sauce I chose happened to be the Arrabiata. My companion ordered the chicken Alfredo, and loved it. I tasted it, too, and liked it. Super creamy, of course. The chicken was tender, the tagliatelle perfectly cooked. Loved our server. She was helpful and we appreciated her initiative and followthrough. Looking forward to a return visit to try some other things --- maybe Happy Hour, maybe Dessert.“

“Great Iranian eatery. Very cozy, cute, and comfortable space. Booths have the name of the islands in the Persian gulf, in keeping with the restaurant theme!My girlfriend is vegan so when we asked for the options the chef herself came to our table to go over the options. We really appreciated that.The food itself was fantastic. We had kubideh and aash. I wish they also had impossible meat kubideh.We will definitely go back for more!“

“The new location of the Woodlands Hills restaurant is an upgrade in all respects. It also seemed quite busy for a Tuesday evening and louder than our last visit at the old location. As usual, the service provided by Josh and his support staff was constantly attentive and very friendly. The food was great tasting as always but I do have one complaint. I had the 16 oz. rib-eye, a favorite, perfectly medium-rare and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, I should have asked for a sharper knife: it was pretty rubbery and had more connective tissue throughout than I've had in restaurant-quality meat. Should I have said something? Maybe but we were enjoying dinner with friends, I didn't want to sit with no food and I thought it would improve as I went. It didn't. I kept pulling pieces off (literally, couldn't quite get the serrated knive to cut through some places) until the white strings were left behind for the next bite. At least being overly chewy meant I enjoyed the flavor longer. Hopefully, this was an anomaly as my first, less than great experience at Ruth's Chris.“

“Always great food and excellent service Whenever we eat at Lure Fish House in Porter Ranch, we can count on having a great meal. But we also can expect excellent service. Our recent visit was a little more extraordinary because of our server, Mar. Since we had been there before, but it had been a while, Mar asked if we knew what we wanted or if we wanted to hear the menu explained. We chose the latter. She also asked if we had allergies, which we did not. Not many restaurants ask that, which can be important because not all ingredients are listed and some people forget to mention it. We ordered our usual cup of Clam Chowder and asked about the Dungeness Crab Cocktail. Mar told us what we wanted to hear and ordered it. We shared both appetizers and enjoyed them both. For our entrées, my wife stepped out of her comfort zone and did not order her usual but rather the White Sea Bass in Almondine-style, which is crusted with breadcrumbs, parmesan and almonds. I went with my semi-usual of the Crispy Fish, Shrimp & Chips Combo, but with Pineapple Coleslaw, on the suggestion of Mar during the explanation of the menu. When the meals arrived, my wife said the Sea Bass was good, but she probably would not get it that way again. Mar checked in on us and my wife repeated what she had told me. Mar then said, "I have just the sauce to make it better." She returned with the sauce that comes with the Sally's Sand Dabs, which is a lemon caper sauce. My wife said it changed the entire meal and was amazing, which she thanked Mar for when she again checked in on us. For me, the Pineapple Cole Slaw matched perfectly with the fish and shrimp. I never would have thought of that. Mar truly knows the menu and what pairs well and complements each dish. I believe we will be visiting more often, asking for Mar on each visit and stepping out of our comfort zones more often, with Mar's guidance. Thank you.“

“Patrons drive from all over the city to relish the warm welcome and fine cuisine at Panzanella. It vibes like a friendly neighborhood eatery, with many locals hopping on bar stools, schmoozing with the bartender as they gobble up pasta. Pasta is delicious here; you can't go wrong with any delicately fashioned ravioli or lasagna. The bread with tapenade is the best deal in town; you can easily pay up to $12 for what you pay about $3 here a couple. Look for specials, like soups and fish, as highlights.“

“What an absolutely delightful surprise! I can't remember what I've had such a good coq au vin, and the cocktails were creative and tasty. “I'm almost hesitant to rave about Mora Italiano, which has become my favorite Italian restaurant, because I'm scared they'll get too popular and I won't be able to get a table. Yeah, THAT'S how wonderful they are. Great authentic Italian food, and an incredibly charming staff. Charming interior, but I prefer to dine on the outdoor patio. After only two visits, I've grown quite fond of our server, Lucas, and his father, Fernando, who just happens to be the Sommelier. Very personable and lighthearted, while remaining professional and respectful. Their suggestions from food to wine never disappoint. My friend and I spent a few hours there last night. I will be spending some very special occasions at Mora from now on. The seabass with bucatini is delicious! Just go!“

“Our server, Ramon, provided exceptional service. He presented the menu thoroughly and offered top-notch recommendations. We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last year and Ramon was our server then too. He gave us the same excellent service as he did today. As avid travelers, we value excellent customer service and Ramon epitomizes that. He is polite and professional, and a great asset to the team. The food was delicious, as expected, and arrived promptly, served piping hot. Thank you, Ramon, for the exceptional service. “Delicious food at an incredible price. I highly recommend it for a special occasion, a romantic dinner, or even to get away to a quiet nicer dinner. I've been there three times for different event dinner events, each time my husband and I have not been disappointed. I love the brussels sprouts while my husband raved about the bone marrow appetizer. The salmon was on point and so was the Korean BBQ plate. The presentation is also well done. We look forward to our next dinning experience there.“
