“I had the best quiche EVER at the Waterlily. The staff are knowledgeable and kind, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and it is in a very calm and serene area in Topanga Canyon. The next time I’m in the LA area, this will be a revisited spot!“

“We had such a fantastic time at the Great White Cafe! The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better. My burger was absolutely tremendous - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My girlfriend loved her chocolate mousse, which was rich and decadent. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and a great vibe!“

“Extremely clean, well presented, and delicious homemade Oaxacan fare. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Great spread of juices/coffees/healthy beverage options as well. Feels family run. Everyone is kind and knowledgeable, and they are happy to tweak dishes at your request. Small place so best for groups of 4 or less. Probably seats 30 people total, with two outdoor tables (2 and 4-top)“

“We’ve become such frequent visitors of Hideout Café, that we’ve become good friends with Freddie and his brothers. We love Hideout so much we’ve had multiple events catered. Such a great spot and a real family business. Support restaurants like this! You can’t go wrong.“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“As the only place to get food at the Villa, you are a captive audience, but at least they do a decent job with the feed.
FOOD: A variety of wraps and burgers and salads -- nothing earthshaking, but tasty and of decent proportions. Indeed, I was surprised by the amount of garlic fries that came with my burger.
SERVICE: Everyone was nice. Food, prepped fresh, came pretty promptly.
AMBIANCE: The place is clean and well kept, in the architecture of the modern additions to the Villa complex.
VALUE: The food is pricey. Very pricey. You know how amazing it was that there was no entrance fee (parking notwithstanding)? This feels like where they make a bit of that back.
On the other hand, it is (a) tasty and (b) the only game in town.“

“Oh my gosh, is this my favorite place to get coffee in SM? Yes! So cute, great coffee and smoothies, great avacado and egg salad toasts. Great dog watching and people watching too. Easy to park, but pay the meter, the meter people make a sweep in the morning. Lovely place to sit, lots of shaded places.“

“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“I just finished my lunch, haven't even left the restaurant yet, but felt compelled to write this review! I got the High Protein Salad which was a huge portion and so delicious. Service was very warm and tentative. They serve you a little thing of tortilla chips and salsa while you wait for your food.
There's parking in the back and outdoor seating in the front. No frills diner food with healthy options. This place deserves more customers!“

“The building itself is a work of art. The outdoor landscape is also carefully designed. There are so many exhibits that you need to have enough time to explore. You can also start from the West Pavilion, where you can see more familiar works. This is an art museum worth visiting many times.“

“I have been looking for quinoa all over LA. This place serves it and it is very good. The mix has just the right amount of dried sweet cranberries and a few chickpeas. It was perfect. I had a salad with tuna avocado and egg salad. I was able to sub the egg salad for tuna which was very nice of them. They gave me a fork full of a mayonnaise free tuna they had prepared on the way out which again was a great experience. This is the kind of place that you feel cares and you'd want to keep going back to. A+++“

“Stopped in for a break from the beach and heat and, as lovers of all things Italian, this was an easy choice. We had pizza and ice creams, all of which were delicious. I loved the fact that you could try a little sample of the gelato before choosing your flavour. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent!\n\nService was really good, and we were made to feel welcome; seating is a bit limited but we managed to get a table under one of the umbrellas outside, which suited us just fine. \n\nDefinitely recommend: an authentic Italian cafe with an awesome view.“

“Great pricy place for breakfast, fancy coffee, pastries. Lines out the door but was doable at 9am this morning on Labor Day Monday. Pricy, food was pretty, but taste was so so. Carrot teff cupcake (small) was very cold and hard-but again pretty! $48“

“Fabulous hyper-farm-to-table food by a creative chef, on Main St in Santa Monica. I’ve tried the Gazpacho, the many Danish Rye toasts with what is fresh that day: eggs, salmon roe, avocado or ....? They also have baristas that make all type of drinks. My fab place to indulge healthy and fresh“

“I was in town alone and thought the beach butler service sounded fun. I didn’t book ahead since I wasn’t sure when I’d arrive. When I asked about it at the bike rental area, the girl there was super rude and said it needed 24 hours’ notice — even though the website doesn’t mention that.
I called the number listed and spoke with a nice woman who came out to help and made it happen within 30–45 minutes. My butler was great, and I appreciated that the manager accommodated me.
Probably not worth the $85 since alcohol isn’t allowed on the beach (my bad for not knowing), but the real issue is that an employee was turning business away.
Visit was Sunday 10/05...“

“The interior is beautiful and the drinks are great! However, a downside is the baristas they tend to hire have horrible attitudes. They tend to have stank faces and don’t say “please” or “thank you”. I normally don’t care and come here often but lately it’s been getting very rude. So watch out 😂“

“My favorite place to get coffee. Have a few specialty drinks I toggle between that are my favorites. They have some unique and delicious muffins and a chocolate chip cookie to die for. “I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Primo Passo Coffee on our interview date. Family-owned Primo Passo Coffee is located in the cutest part of Santa Monica, where it’s just close enough to get your tan on at the beach or get your shop on at the Third Street Promenade. Fun sized coffee and teas, an assortment of pastries and sandwiches, and a relaxingly pleasant overall atmosphere are all you need to choose Primo over the Starbucks across the street. My little Carmelo was the daintiest and perfect post-hangover pick me up, and even just sitting in the shop uplifted my mood in an instant. And if you’re a fan of Instagram-ing your coffee sesh, their baristas will do latte art for every order! Right when you walk into Primo Passo Coffee, you will be greeted with friendly smiles, the aroma of fresh roasted coffee, and warm sun shining through large, perfectly placed windows. Seating options ranging from bistro style tables to barstools to plush benches along the wall, any sized party can come in and enjoy a quick (or long) caffeine pick-me-up. I especially noticed that a lot of people come here to read or write (even on a collaboration aspect), so maybe one day we’ll learn that the next great novelist or screenwriter came here to work on their passion project.“

“Loved this place! Found it my accident when visiting the Commons for the first time. People were so nice. It’s decorated beautifully and so many options of treats for my limited clean diet. I got the Maui bowl and it was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back. Awesome place!“

“Howdy’s Malibu is always a go-to spot for great food and a welcoming, local vibe. Everything is fresh, consistent, and delicious — the Pepperdine burrito with chicken is my personal favorite. It’s also special to support a business that’s truly part of the Malibu community. One of the owners serves with me on the Malibu Chamber of Commerce Board, and Howdy’s has been a longtime Chamber member. It’s always a pleasure stopping in, whether for a quick meal or bringing friends and clients to experience a true local favorite.“

“Stopping in before seeing the Blacklist exhibit was brilliant! Light and airy, Zeidler's is built on a curve so sounds aren't bounced back and the noise level is minimal. Wonderful and attentive service and yummy food rounded out our visit. Two thumbs up!“
“I stumbled upon this hidden gem on the 2nd floor of the 16133 yesterday. The lunch panini was a healthy fill me up and they had all the essentials with such an inviting atmosphere. The service was spectacular. Don't miss out and go up to what feels like lunch heaven!“

“I've been stopping here a couple times a week for breakfast or lunch. Probably ordered here about 30 or 40 times now. The sweet lady that runs the shop has always been so kind and friendly, no matter how busy she is! The food is always great, and she never forgets the napkins/utensils.
Although I haven't gotten anything here I didn't enjoy, out of everything I MUST recommend you try the yogurt parfait. I don't even like sweetened yogurt cups, but this homemade yogurt is better than anything I've ever tried. It's SO good, I start to crave some after a couple weeks without it. It's heavenly.
This spot truly is a tucked-away gem with a lovely owner, if you haven't tried it, give it a shot! Support your local businesses <3“

“I came here for a facial with Chieko and was blown away. Probably the most relaxing massage I ever had (I even fell asleep!). Chieko was so kind, funny, and genuine. She did a skin analysis first and showed me which products she was going to use and why. There’s no extractions, it’s just about keeping your skin healthy. Theres also a facial massage included. I left feeling like my skin was glowing, plump, and hydrated. I also love the concept - everything is authentically from Japan. The products, the matcha, and it’s a beautiful open space you can relax in before or after your facial. I almost want to keep them as this hidden gem because I know they’ll blow up!!!“
