“The food was very good. I dined solo and had chicken liver mousse, the yellowtail crudo, the peach and tomato burrata salad, and the crab cake. The mousse was rich and interestingly paired with pickled blackberries and honeycomb. The crudo was delicious with the refreshing citrus. The salad too felt very fresh and like I was holding on to late summer. The crab cake was good, the sauce had a nice balance of spice and sweetness, it was very salty which is not unexpected with crab. The service was kind and attentive. I was very pleased with my experience and would return again if I'm back in Santa Monica.“

“Seafood quality is better than supermarket quality, and of course this means you’ll pay more for it. The cafe food is great but very pricey coming from someone visiting from out of state. We got the poke bowl, the calamari and clam chowder, the lobster roll, and the Dungeness crab pasta. There is also a good selection of alcohol and Asian sauces as well as vegetables.“

“Excellent service, amazing lobster 🦞 with crab rice. I just wish I was given the prices before agreeing on the upgrade. I ordered a family for 2 and CJ server offered to make it 3ppl. I was kinda surprised with my bills and how the restaurant dictate the gratuity %….Overall, I love dining in this restaurant because we were welcome and were given a great and warm reception. Thank you to the staff who made us feel special especially to CJ she was amazing. Indeed, the most expensive meal I have eaten lol it’s worth it.“

“I’ve been wanting to check this place out for years. It was absolutely worth it. The staff were warm and welcoming, and took the time to explain the wines and dishes in depth, despite an absolutely packed house.

If you have to wait for a table, consider yourself lucky. Getting to hang out with other patrons with a view of the sunset, enjoying the chatter and ambiance and cozy lighting — it was spectacular. I’ve only felt a street scene so neighborly and welcoming like this in Europe! They really do an excellent job with the outdoor eating and drinking.

The wine options are great. The dishes memorable and inventive. I know I’ll be coming back and bringing others along. Thanks for a good night, Dudley.“

“the service was spectacular. really fun group of servers... food = excellent - exception: chicken appetizer a little greasy/ excessively fried but everything else: salmon, hamachi, avocado fries, duck tacos, etc. was great. a little too loud at first due to boisterous group in the bar right next to our table. acoustics are not great for conversation when the bar is hopping. this is my second time and I will come back.“

“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

“We had a very nice experience here. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was enjoyable. We ordered shrimp for the main course, and it was tasty and well prepared. The drinks were also very good and added to the meal. Everything felt comfortable and welcoming from beginning to end. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and we were very satisfied with our visit. We would definitely come back again and recommend this place to others.“

“This is a beautifully decord Indian restaurant, tremendous menu with a warm, youthful family vibe. You will be met with the most fragrant delightful smells emanating from the kitchen as you enter and be surrounded by beautiful seating aggrangments fit for a special or romantic night out. The food, oh my, served authentically in traditional pots is so delicious you will pause to take the flavors all in. We go often, I must always order Saag Paneer, unbelievable, and we try all the various Biryani which are amazing. Last night had Chicken Vindaloo with garlic naan - just melts in your mouth. The staff, it is family owned and everyone is absolutely kind and helpful. A very large menu of Indian traditional meals, very reasonably priced and the food fressness stairs you right in the face. We randomly found this place one night and we have been back at least once or twice per week since. This wonderful restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall off Ventura Blvd with ample parking ( and handicap) right in front. Opened until 10pm, it is a great place for a special meal but is a very casual environment. I've been eating Indian food all my life and this is by far the best you will ever find! And believe me, the family that built this business are very proud of their food.“

“I will like to give a shout out to the chef. I think his name is Shawn or Sean. When we got to Santa Monica, we looked up restaurants to go have our 26 year anniversary dinner, we stayed at Hotel Delmar right across the street. We googled the restaurant menu, and decided what we were going to have. when we got there, and they brought out the menus, all what we decided to have was not on there. I was crushed. Because I had my mind set on the Halibut. I said it's ok I will just have the Ribeye, mind you I had a ribeye steak the night before. When the waiter came back, my wife asked if it's possible to get the Halibut and he said let me check with the chef. He came back later and said the chef said it's no problem. I was blown away. That was the best Halibut ( besides mine) that I have ever had. Thank you chef Shawn. From one chef to another, thank you. you made my night.“

“What an incredible hidden gem! We were craving Italian food and decided to check out Al Italiano. Walked in on a Tuesday night a little before closing. Eddie and the owner Robert greeted us warmly. The menu has some great options and we were indecisive what to order. Our waiter Eddie is a first class professional and answered all our questions with patience and in details. His recommendations were amazing. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, Children’s cheese pizza, Salumiere pizza and their homemade Tiramisu. Everything was excellent and so tasty. The whole experience at Al Italiano was outstanding and unforgettable. Robert is a great business owner who actually cares and treats you like family. His whole staff is very respectful and helpful. The ambiance is very Italian and welcoming. We found a true gem! Thank you Robert, Eddie and staff! We will be back soon!“

“Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had!!! My family and I usually order the shrimp cocktail, raw shrimp ceviche, fish tacos, empanadas, aguachile negro.. But you really can’t go wrong with ordering here. Everything will be delicious. They’re fast, quality of seafood is excellent, and they’re not greedy with tostadas or crackers for to go orders. Also not greedy with the amount of shrimp your cocktail will have unlike some places that give you three shrimps at best lol. One time we accidentally got charged twice for a pickup order and they refunded us super quick and were apologetic over the honest mistake. I can’t recommend this seafood truck enough!!!“

“We had a great experience at Ospi Brentwood. From start to finish, everything was on point. The food, the service, and the drinks. We tried several pizzas: the Copione, Pepe-Roni, Hapa, and Funghi. All were delicious, though the Funghi was our least favorite the mushrooms were just a bit overpowering for our taste. The Arugula Salad was incredibly refreshing with the perfect amount of lemon juice. We also had the Spicy Rigatoni with vodka sauce, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The cocktails came out quickly, and the food was served just as fast. Everything arrives hot and fresh, so be ready to dig in right away. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back.“

“My wife and I stopped in here on a whim for Wednesday lunch, and everything was fantastic! We had the poke trio, lobster tail with Thai brussels sprouts and purple sweet potatoes, pineapple right side up cake, and the spicy margarita and prickly pear cocktail. Everything was delicious and clearly made with super fresh ingredients, and our server Robert made our day with his warm, personable service and superb recommendations. Can’t praise Pacific Catch—and especially Robert—enough!“

The staff were incredibly sweet and walked me and my husband through the whole process and what were some popular options among customers. This was by far the best seafood boil I’ve had. “We ended up at Sol Agave because our favorite Mexican restaurant from last year had unfortunately closed. It was already quite late, and the restaurant was only a short time away from closing, so we were not sure whether we would still be able to order food. Fortunately, the staff welcomed us and made sure we were taken care of.

As we often do, we chose seats at the bar. The bartender was very friendly, attentive, and professional, especially considering the late hour. Our drinks arrived quickly and were enjoyable, although they were good rather than exceptional. The food followed soon after. My tortillas were unfortunately a bit too floury for my taste, while the fajitas were perfectly decent and flavorful, but again nothing that really stood out.

Since closing time was approaching, we finished our meal rather quickly. Overall, everything was fine and met expectations. We genuinely appreciate being served so late. However, considering the quality of the food and drinks, we felt the final bill was a little higher than expected. In the end, Sol Agave was a solid experience, but somewhat overpriced for what it offered.“

“The experience was amazing at Sugar Palm. The server, Alfred, was so sweet and gave us great recommendations! The steak frites were to die for but if you like more of a lighter meal, definitely try the seared ahi tuna. It was so fresh and the sauce was incredible. Their pineapple margarita was also VERY delicious! You won’t go wrong with anything on the menu.“
